TITLE: The Mouse and the Model
(OOC: Lyrics by Amanda Palmer)

The song starts out with a slow, melancholy piano melody. After a few seconds of that, Nichole's soft voice sings over it. There's a hint of dryness in her voice, like she was crying heavily before she recorded the song:

Nothing is certain at this time of day
You could reverberate, you could decay
The mouse and the model are laughing at us
We'll risk it. We're desperate for someone to trust.

The piano picks up, changing into having a marching band quality to it, while Castor joins in on the drums, playing a steady beat on the snare drum. Nichole's voice is slightly louder:

Let's start a new heart, the new charts are in
We'll take them, we'll break them, we'll make them give in

The piano goes back to the same melody it was playing before, but the drums continue to play their upbeat rhythm, giving the song a darker quality to it.

By counting your blessings, you wind up in debt
It starts with your family, and ends in your bed
You Jekyll and Hyde it when you could have let
Your guard down, your dress up, you must be upset

The piano starts playing the same melody it was playing in the chorus before. The only thing that is different is that Nichole's voice has gotten much louder. She practically screaming the chorus.

Let's start a new hear the new charts are in.
We'll takes them, we'll break them, we'll make them give in.

The piano melody becomes very simplistic suddenly, the same notes over and over again as Nichole's voice grows in intesity.

It's dark over here on the flipside of reason
The teaser could be something easy, like they did it in a book
You're a crook, you're a fake, you're committed

The piano suddenly stops, and Nichole screams into the silence:

If you did it, say you did it. If you didn't, suck it up and say you did!

The music goes back into the rhythm it was in in the second verse: the darker, bouncy quality sound.

Oh, oh, oh... Oh,oh
Oh
x2

There's a small piano solo, which basically consists of the same melody as before, only much louder and more chaotic sounding. It flows into Nichole playing only, and then the music stops. There's a pause for a couple seconds, and then the music continues, with Castor joining Nichole as she screams the final lyrics.

Let's start a new heart, the new charts are in
We'll tax them, relax them, and make them forfeit
The vote by a landside, the Jekyll and Hyde
Mackenzie, McCavity, she's Bonnie and Clyde

The music suddenly becomes a beautiful, chaotic mess of sound as they continue playing, with Nichole screaming.

Oh, oh, oh... Oh,oh
Oh
x4

There's a gasp of air, as Nichole starts to calm down. The music slows down until it's only Nichole playing the same slow melody at the beginning alone. Then the piano fades out and the song ends.

Sam: I don't care how much death metal cred I give up by saying this - I love this record. And the chick singing is pretty hot. Too bad, I heard she has a totally badass awesome boyfriend ;)

ooc: great job on the song descriptions!

TITLE: I'd Like to Kiss You, but I Just Washed My Hair

The song is completely instramental. It starts with Nichole playing a fast-paced melody, her fingers barely hitting the keys before moving on to the next one. Throughout the song, you can just barely hear the sound of her breathing as it gets quicker and heavier the longer the song goes on. After a while of her quick finger plucking, she adds another melody over it with her other hand; a softer, more melencholy sound. This softer sound grows until it almost drowns out the quick-paced melody. After about thirty seconds of these two melodies coming together, the slower one suddenly becomes much faster and the two melodies finally seem to merge as one, each of them growing in speed until they seem to collide into themselves and become a jumbled mess of sound. The song comes to an abrupt hault.

TITLE: I Like You So Much Better When You're Naked (Ida Maria cover)

Vile Hour didn't change any of the notes of the song. The only thing that is different from the original is that the song is severely slowed down, and it's played just on the piano, with some light drumming in the background.

All the clever
Thing I should say to you:
They got stuck somewhere
Stuck between me and you.

Oh, I'm nervous.
I don't know what to do.
Light a cigarette.
I only smoke when I'm with you.

What the hell do I do this for?
You're just another guy.
Okay, you're kind of sexy,
But you're not really special.

But I won't mind
If you take me home,
Come on, take me home.

I won't mind
If you take off all your clothes.
Come on, take them off.

Because I like you so much better when you're naked
I like me so much better when you're naked
I like you so much better when you're naked
I like me so much better when you're naked

All the clever
Thing I should say to you:
They got stuck somewhere
Stuck between me and you.

Oh, I'm nervous.
I don't know what to do.
Light a cigarette.
I only smoke when I'm wiht you.

What the hell do I do this for?
You're just another guy.
Okay, you're kind of sexy,
But you're not really special.

But I won't mind
If you take me home,
Come on, take me home.

I won't mind
If you take off all your clothes.
Come on, take them off.

I like me so much better when you're naked

TITLE: The Gardener
(OOC: Lyrics by Amanda Palmer)

The song starts out with a slow drum rhythm and a low note played over and over again on the piano. It has a very slow jazz feel to it. Nichole's voice is just barely above a whisper.

Sorry for the setback
I know I let you down
Turn back the clocks and step back
And spring might come around
Oh, oh, oh oh...
Oh, oh, oh, oh...

Nichole's voice gets a little bit louder.

My little misbegotten...
You're quite a stubborn bud!
If we can't make you open
We will take it out in blood

Nichole voice returns to it's normal pitch, and the beat, while still having a jazzy feeling to it, is less slow and sultry, and more bouncy.

We'll make a man out of you yet!
We will plant brambles in your bed!
Just close your eyes and count to ten...
This is as close as you will get...

Nichole's "oh"'s grow in volume until she's practically screaming them.

Oh, oh, oh, oh!
Oh, oh, oh, oh!

Nichole's voice goes back into a whisper, and the song goes back into it's original beat. Castor echos "little" and "willow" in the first line.

Oh, is our little (little) willow (willow) weeping?
Flutter to your knees
The untilled things before me,
Oh the possibilities

Oh, oh, oh, oh...
Oh, oh, oh oh...

Thank you for the warning,
But I still see the sun...
A little global warming
Never hurt no one...

The beat returns to how it was during the chorus before.

We'll make a man out of you yet
A crown of thorns around your head
Get off your knees and have a look
This is as good as it will get...
Oh, oh, oh oh!
Oh, oh, oh oh!

There's a small piano solo, which starts off as a hectic and skilled piano playing, but turns into Nichole beating on the keys. The playing calms down and goes back into the whispering.

At last my pretty flower
Is getting put to use
You've always been a failure
But now you're bearing strange new fruit...
Oh, oh!
Oh, oh, oh, oh!

The inside is all wilted
But the rest is fertile, so
I will take the belt from off the hook
And watch the garden grow

Back to the bouncy.

We'll make a man out of you yet
You won't know what will hit you next
The gardener's coming to collect
You wanted love?
That's what you get...

As Nichole repeats this single line, her volume rises as the music fades out until at the final repeat, it's just Nichole's voice shouting.

The gardener's coming to collect
The gardener's coming to collect
The gardener's coming to collect
The gardener's coming to collect
The gardener's coming to collect

TITLE: Safety

The song starts with a slow piano melody, and it's automatically clear that it's going to be a sad song -- or a love song. Nichole's voice stays at a higher pitch through the song.

I find safety in you
In your smile
I find my comfort in your arms
Your artistic style
I hope I'll never live a day
Where I don't see your face
And live in your heart

I will sneak to your side
I'm quiet as a mouse
If you need me
The lady of the house
You're my stronger side
More important than you know
I am yours

But here, but here
We are stranger than fiction
Don't go away
You're my addiction

As I spill my feelings to
This fucking audience, love
As I spill my feelings to
Your mother, love

But here, but here
We are stranger than fiction
Don't go away
You're my addiction

Don't go away
You're my addiction
You're my, you're my, you're my
Addiction, addiction
Addiction, addiction, addiction

I find safety in you
In your smile
I find my comfort in your arms
Your artistic style
I hope I'll never live a day
Where I don't see your face

The piano slowly fades out.
