Erich is awakened by the pressure of Ada's head on his chest. It's the best way to wake up. He cracks an eye and watches her for a few seconds. " good morning/ afternoon....you know,everytime I see you,it still feels like the first time i met you?" He says looking down at her.

Erich plays with her hair slightly. "I mean...i still get that excited yet nervous feeling when seeing you at times. It's a kinda zinging feeling." Erich says,trying to out it into words a non erich could understand.

Erich enjoys his wife's snuggling closer.he sighs and rubs her on her shoulder. " I'm glad you had fun last night. I wracked my brain thinking of something you would enjoy. I honestly dislike giving gifts, as nothing ever seems like quite enough. Even more so when it's you." He says softly.

erich puts his arm around ada and squeezes her gently." i love you ada,and i love when you call me "herr hess." he kisses her and looks up at the apartment's ceiling. its paint is noticeably less peeling,and less lead based than the duke. "i really like our life here.thanks for dragging me to new york.i liked it and didnt even know it."

"i noticed that too,i never really thought about it until now. if anyone didnt know better,they'd think we had some wild s&m relationship." he laughs. "at this point it would seem weird if you did call me "erich". he shrugs and kisses her at the exact spot she pointed to. "good. i'd do anything to help you.i...i dont want you to have to go through that again. maybe the utter isolation of the duke was bad for you?" he asks.

"i think you are outgoing with people who matter." erich says with a nod. "ada...i dont think i saved you at all..i mean,...you said you had last been in the hospital at 14,right? you're with me for a few weeks and you had to go back." he shrugs as he doesnt really like talking about this,especially when it seems he isnt the best mate for ada.

erich looks at the interlocked fingers and brings her hand up to kiss it. " i know..but i've felt guilty about it ever since. " he shakes his head. "i just felt i let you down or i dont know." he kisses her forehead. "i guess the important part is you are well now.we got our own pad,and we got dietz." he says happily,wanting to leave some bits of the past firmly in their memory boxes.

"im not a creepy foot person,and i may be biased....but you have cute toes. deitrich's toes are a close second." erich says,slightly bumping her other foot with his.

"you're only saying that,because it's true!" he laughs heartily. "but i firmly believe males should never wear sandals...or white frame sunglasses. elvis never wore either,and he turned out fine."

erich debates in his head telling ada about then numerous times he's seen elvis.but decides against it. sometimes charmingly offbeat becomes bonkers. "they say he died on the toilet.i never knew what he was eating....i also heard he was naked...thats how i want to go.naked and on the john." erich laughs.
