Varanese "Vara" Gallo grew up in Prato, Tuscany, Italy with her mother, father, and four older siblings. From an early age, it was drilled into her head that she was supposed to excel musically. Her Filipino father was a famous conductor for the Tuscany Symphony, her mother a violinist for said symphony, and all four of her siblings practiced in singing, dancing, or music. When it came time for Vara to decide what path she would take, she took the one that would ostracize herself from the rest of her family: Rock. While the rest of the family continued on their classical music paths, Vara became quite famous locally, moving up to playing in Rome, and then throughout Europe. She became known for her scandalous outfits, or sometimes wearing absolutely nothing at all on stage, using only her long hair and guitar to cover her bits.

Although she may come off as what magazines have called a “slut” or “whore,” Vara really isn’t. She enjoys acting loose because of the attention that it brings her, but when it actually comes down to sex, she’s very inexperienced. Sure, she’s has a few heavy pettings in the backseat of trucks, but who hasn’t?

Recently, Vara left rehab for alcohol abuse after Rome police found her passed out behind a bar after a long night of drinking. She did not finish the treatment that the rehabilitation facility laid out for her, and was seen drinking again a few days later. ”We all have our vices,” Vara has been quoted saying. ”I wish people would just let me have mine, and leave me alone!” She has been arrested for other acts due to her inebriation, but that has not stopped her from drinking yet.

And that is the story of Varanese Gallo.
