Tryin' to get creative and shit.

Been trying to get all us old rockers together again to get the old band back together and pile into the van. For one last ride into hell with our guns blazing. You know I never figured how hard it would be. Subterfuge is obscure to some people yeah. Unless you own the one album we released when we were together. For that I thank most of you that still consider us relevant to your listening tastes. But we're all old men in our 40s. Hell my old buddy Jake, the lead guitarist, is selling insurance! Fucking insurance! I can remember when he took more delight in burning shit down than protecting somebody else from it. Crazy how the time passes. Another thing that bugs me between the booze is will anybody come out to see us? Will we be relevant? Does anybody even remember who the hell we were or are? I got to say I'm a confident son of a bitch. But I'm apprehensive as hell about all this. Even recording an new EP or just re releasing a new version of the old stuff. That all kind of eats at me. You, know wondering if we still go it where it counts. Despite the age.

We were good in our time. But we only released one album. Personal issues, recording disputes, and the fact that we were strung out from the road lead to our demise. We hooked up with a record label that didn't like the sound. We were a southern grunge rock type band and the label wanted to repackage us as a heavier metal band. Now here's the thing, I got not problems with my heavy metal brothers. But that wasn't us and we were sure as hell not going to let somebody negotiate how we sounded. So we went out on the road while we were still under contract with these fuck mooks. Which royally pissed them off. After a huge mess and angry phone calls. We decided to pack our shit up and disappear. There was more to the story though. But that was the one big needle that popped the fucking balloon. I want to do this and there's mutual talk. Though there's lots of inner turmoil and wondering where this will go. Along with could've, would've, should've and all that shit. Going to put on a record and have a drink. I'll check in with you good people again later.

I'm Back! Like a bad STD!

That's right kiddos! Your old pal Uncle Henny's back from the abyss. Don't ask where the hell I've been because it's none of your fucking business to be honest. I got into what you call one of those searching type vision quests to find myself. That middle aged and crazy kind of thing that all us oldsters do I guess. After travels, drinks, drugs, and many other odd adventures I have returned from the beyond! I honestly missed this little blog I had. If that's what you want to call the damn thing. I'm still drinking, listening to good music, and being a general critic and curmudgeon at large. Maybe I should start writing for one of those fancy pants magazines around here that need a different perspective you know? Who the hell knows. I sure don't. I figure the more you know makes you a danger because they'll come after you if you know too much. I figure that's something Erich Hess lives by. It's a good rule of thumb to follow at times. But holy shit so much as gone on since I've been away in my strange trip. I'm going to start watching some of you on here and figure out whether I should write on you. But RITB has a new album out and that's killer. I've always like them so that's a damn good thing that they're out doing it again. Amy Meyers is a fucking tour de force. I do need to get a hold of her solo album. Also Brandon Caulfield has come out of the woodwork as well. It looks like this new album with the Birds of Sorrow may be a candidate for album of the year in my opinion. The man can craft a damn song and has a knack for digging deep into near everything he touches. He could write an album about mayonaisse and make it sound good man. That's for damn sure. Well, I'm just checking in here from my old post on this old computer. The single barrel bourbon is almost gone and I need to flip this record over. So I'll see you snot nosed little brats later!
