 The Nichole Fischer Case: ClosedHow Nichole escaped
According to Fischer, thirty-two year old Ted Kinder, had broken into Fischer's apartment that day after sending her many emails in response to one of her blog posts. When Fischer answered none of Kinder's emails, he tracked her down. She says that she tried to reason with him, but he hit her over the head with a piece of wood, and dragged her out of her apartment. The police, investigating this claim, speculates that Kinder must have used Fischer's balcony fire exit to take Fischer out of the apartment complex unseen. Kinder also took several articles of clothing from the house and dumped them in a dumpster a few miles away, and cleaned the blood splatter on the carpet caused by the impact of the blunt object to make it seem Fischer had left on her own accord.

Earlier today, a gunshot was reported being heard in the outskirts of Detroit, and the police were called. When the police entered the house, they found Nichole Fischer sitting on the floor of the house's basement, a rope securely tied around her neck and around a pole in the middle of the basement, a .22 LR revolver next to her, and Kinder lying in front of her in a pool of his own blood.
According to Fischer, who the police say they have no reason to think she was say anything false, Kinder had kept her tied up in the basement (her wrists, ankles, and throat tied to the pole) the whole time, often beating her and sexually abusing her, always keeping a gun on him in case she tried to get away. He had been untieing her ankles and wrists when Fischer suddenly fought back, kicking Kinder in the groin until he fell over and then grabbing the gun and firing at him.
Nichole Fischer is currently at the St. Bernard's hospital in Detroit, getting care for her many bruises and scars around her body. According to her doctor, she has no permenant damage to her body, and that her pregnancy of triplets was not harmed in any way.
