 Title: Whenever You're Around Label: Kiss My Pop Records Genre: Pop, pop-rock Length: 3:27 Writers: Andrea Khan, Neil Johnston, Jessie Allman Producer: Neil Johnston Release Date: 7th March 2013 "Whenever You're Around" is the fourth single from singer, songwriter Andrea the song was written by Andrea Khan, Neil Johnston and Jessie Allman and was produced by Neil Johnston the song is a more upbeat song which is different for Andrea as she's known for releasing slower and more emotional ballads the song was written a little earlier last year and Andrea has said that this song was actually written about her husband Weekend band member Billy Khan ironically the song was written just a little before Big Brother season 3 started Andrea decided to release this song has her fourth single because she loved the idea of it and after recording it she fell in love with it and knew it had to be released as a single plus it was different for her to release this kind of single the single was supposed to be released in January however Andrea decided to push it back a little to be able to spend time with her son (who was born about 2 months earlier than expected) and Husband she decided now would be a better time to release the single and she also said that she'll be getting to work on an album really soon she's expected to hit the studio again sometime in April to finish up the recording of her debut anyway back to the song the song has a more pop-rock feel to it the intro plays for a little as Andrea then Andrea comes singing with her rather unique voice her southern accent can be heard as usual as she sings you can clearly hear how much she's improved from her last three songs her voice sounds a bit more mature than before and it seems like she's learned to use her voice a little better as well however she hasn't completely showed how much she's improved yet she seemed to be holding back a bit but after the chorus kicks in the beat gets a bit more intense and she shows exactly how much she's improved here she sounded amazing as she sang the chorus however her voice probably could still sound somewhat annoying to some people she had still improved a lot she then went to the second verse and sang it almost exactly as she did the first verse she then entered the chorus again which was sang the same then the pre-chorus came in which had a bit of an Avril sort of sound to it this was probably the best part of the song as she got to show off her real vocal abilities here she then went back into the chorus twice she was showing a lot more power in her voice now than before as she sang it this time she didn't have the most powerful voice in the industry and she knew that however she did sound rather good here the song then plays a little outro before coming to an end For me nothing is ever right and usually I start a fight I don't know how you do it how You put up with me you bring me up when I am Down even though I hurt you you stick around I want you to see baby how much you mean to me Sometimes my life is like a ride I'm up I'm down but
