Morgue Party is an American death metal band from Miami, Florida, formed late in 2008. The band name was derived from an underground movie seen by two of the band's founding members, in which a number of the main characters engaged in necrophilia, and referred to the act as a "Morgue Party". In recent times, they band members have taken on ridiculous stage names, which reflect the attitude and style of their music.
The band currently consists of; vocalist Ryan CircusFreak, guitarists Jonny DeathMonkey and Daniel RancidDischarge, bassist Frankie GoreCocker and drummer Andy FistPump.

Formation and Early years (2008 - 2010)

The band was formed by two high school friends (CircusFreak and DeathMonkey), when they realised that they were the only two freshmen in their high school who were listening to death metal. "We were just seen as those two long haired freaks in Suffocation shirts," CircusFreak told a magazine recently, "I think some people were actually scared of us, because we were dressed in black , with these tshirts bearing inverted crosses and shit, but I don't think I've ever been genuinely angry in my life if truth be told."

FistPump had been drumming from an early age, and asked CircusFreak to join his new band, who he planned to call Funeral Parlor. The two held auditions in their local town hall, but could find no one who had the same music taste as theirs. However, when CircusFreak's cousin was in town, he informed the aspiring vocalist that he knew of some guys who had just left a band, and were looking for a new direction. "We listened to GoreGag on Myspace", CircusFreak says, "And the music was just awesome. So my cousin called the guys up, and we had a few jams from there!"

In the first few months, Funeral Parlor played various Battle of the Bands contests, usually finishing last in early rounds because they were the only ones not playing covers of "American Idiot" or anything by Fall Out Boy. They played mainly faster versions of songs by bands such as Misery Index, Death, Enslaved and Quo Vadis, and often found themselves booed off the stage by unappreciative audiences.

In early 2009, CircusFreak and FistPump visited a friend's house, where they saw an underground movie called "Morbid", in which various characters took part in necrophillic acts. The term "Morgue Party" was coined therein, and the band's name changed the very next day.

For the remainder of 2009 and the entirety of 2010, the band procured gigs in various nightclubs across Florida, as they set out to stamp their authority on the death metal scene. They received critical acclaim from underground sources, and have an avid internet following. Most people comment that the lyrics and song titles are hilarious.

Bursting onto the scene (2011 - Present)

In early 2011, bassist GoreCocker won a considerable yet undisclosed amount of cash on a lotto scratch card. The band immediately used this to their advantage, buying new equipment and instruments, before creating a website, and commissioning an artist to create them a logo. They also had a manager hired, and bought themselves a hefty amount of PR.

In April 2011, Morgue Party entered the studio, in Florida, to record their debut single, which will go on sale later in the month. They are then expected to go on a short tour before returning home to work on their debut album.

Ryan "CircusFreak" - Vocals

UserPostedImage

CircusFreak was born into a Christian family in Portland, Oregon. He has had to deny in various underground magazines that Morgue party music is anti-christian. He has often said that although he himself is an atheist, he loves his family, and has no intention to rubbish their beliefs or upset them in any way. At the age of 5, his family moved to Miami, Florida, where CircusFreak became a quite excellent football player. For the majority of his formative years, he played tight end, before completely giving the sport up when he met FistPump in high school.

In high school, FistPump and CircusFreak were often seen together, and frequented comic book stores frequently, before later hanging around tattoo parlours.

CircusFreak is one of the two founding members of Morgue Party, and is credited as the genius behind the awesomely hilarious lyrics, and the outrageous, OTT song titles.

Andy "FistPump" - Drums

UserPostedImage

FistPump was a loner as a child. He quite openly states that his first actual friend in life was CircusFreak, whom he met in freshman year of high school. Although, the fact that he credits this to growing up on a farm and being home schooled until he was 14 has never really been confirmed.

FistPump was the man who first floated the idea of making a death metal band, and as such is the other founding member of Morgue Party. He also penned the original band name, Funeral Parlor.

FistPump once claimed that his greatest achievement up until this point in life was when he walked from Miami, to Houston, Texas in order to procure what he called "The most bitchin'est burger I ever tasted dude!"

He is well known for his insanely fast double kick bass beats.

Frankie "GoreCocker" - Bass

UserPostedImage

GoreCocker was one of the original members of the now defunct band GoreGag, a grind death band from Dallas, Texas, who were later based in Florida. The band had quite a large underground following before they split in 2008. From there, GoreCocker joined Funeral Parlor, who would become Morgue Party shortly after.

In early 2011, GoreCocker won an unconfirmed amount of cash on a scratch card, and bank rolled the band's hopeful rise to fame. He also left college recently, where he was training to become a veterinary surgeon. Upon leaving college, he described the surgery career as "A little grim if you think about it actually".

Jonny "DeathMonkey" - Lead Guitar

UserPostedImage

DeathMonkey, like GoreCocker, was also a member of GoreGag, and was the link between Morgue Party and GoreGag. When GoreGag split in 2008, DeathMonkey confided in his friend Al Lipman, who was the cousin of CircusFreak. Lipman told him that his cousin's band was looking for members, and DeathMonkey joined up along with other members of GoreGag.

Originally from England, DeathMonkey has lived in the US since he was 3 years old, with his father being an American citizen. He achieved high grades throughout school, but refused point blank to apply to college, stating that his only intention was to play guitar in a death metal band.

DeathMonkey writes most of the music in MorgueParty, and is known as the quiet man of the band. He takes the music most seriously, and only drinks in moderation.

Dan "RancidDischarge" - Rhythm Guitar

UserPostedImage

RancidDischarge is the newest member of MorgueParty. He had been the drummer of GoreGag before they split, and was left bandless when other members of the band joined Morgue Party, who of course did not need a drummer.

For a few months, RancidDischarge had no band, before he eventually picked up a guitar, discovered he could play a bit, and convinced FistPump to let him join in a practice session with Morgue Party. After this session, he was invited to join the band, and has played guitar since.

RancidDischarge is well known as the wild man of the band. He has frequently dived from stages throughout his career, got into altercations with hecklers, and been arrested on seven occasions for drunk and disorderly behaviour.

He once fell out of the bus door just as the band were leaving a show in Orlando, and had to hitch various rides all the way back to Miami. He claims not to have eaten in the (alleged) seven days it took him to get home.

Debut Single - Released this Friday!!

Good afternoon/morningslash nihao depending on the who what where why and when of it all. FistPump here telling you all that you will be able to get your death metal loving mitts on the debut MORGUE PARTY single this coming Friday!
We had hoped to release it...well we said sometime in April so this is as good as any!

What can we expect? Is what i hear you shout at your computer screen. Well, I'll tell ya! I will be the usual Morgue Party MO (and if you don't know what that is yet, I'll tell ya that too!) you can expect some high intensity, really heavy, blast beating, guitar shredding good times! But as always, with us, don't expect the song itself to be longer than a minute and a half (this is down partly to stylising, and partly to our really shitty attention spans).
Also, you can expect the norm lyrically. It'll make you go "omg ewwww but hahahaha" I promise!

So until Friday, keep it loud my amigos!

I just love parties!!! With dead people...but you didn't realize that they were dead at the time, you know, you thought they were asleep and just passed out from hitting the piss too hard and early but find out the next day they are still in the same position and haven't gotten up to do a piss or a morning wank or whatever...you know....Worst birthday ever....

OOC: seriously, if you might get offended by horrid lyrics, I ask that you dont read this. I dont want people complaining about me. :D

Debut single now RELEASED!!

Good morning, Morgue Partyers! Today is the day! We finally have got around to releasing a debut single after years of arsing about just touring and generally tearing shit up!! Now, here we are with a CD available! Wow!

Let me talk you through some things about it. First of all, it's Morgue Party, so the song only lasts 90 seconds. There is some shit with us talking and stuff and a guy asking questions (an interview you may say) on track 2....but track one, the actual single, only lasts 90 seconds! Secondly, it is vile! It's good, but the lyrics are vile....that is a fact. If you get squeamish, then please DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS SONG! If you do, I have totally disclaimered your ass right there <<<<<< and so only you are to blame! Fact! Thirdly, the artwork is shit. We don't care much for CD art, but apparently we had to have one. So we googled blood, fired our name and the single name on there, and bam! Done! FACTOID!

-Peace, and LISTEN, your mate, CircusFreak!

1. A Tasty Brick Red Lunar Cycle (Extreme Death Metal) (1:31)

UserPostedImage

After a few seconds of silence, some amp feedback turns into distortion, and then CircusFreak screams a high pitched

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM TASTY!

The guitars kick in, flying up and down the fret boards at a searing pace hitting any fret their fingers come to, whilst the bass absolutely thumps into your ears, and a frighteningly fast blast beat plays over the first chorus, which is growled, incredibly low pitched, by CircusFreak

I wanna dance in your period blood!
Let me stand in your period blood!
I'm gonna bathe in your period blood!
I'll paint my balls with your period blood!

The music then changes slightly for the song's first verse, it slows down ever so slightly, and includes an actual riff. GoreCocker (bass) and the lead guitar play the same riff, a technical, melodic style riff, whilst the rhythm guitar plays some heavy, and low power chords. FistPump is now using double kick and cymbals at breakneck speed, as opposed to a blast beat, and CircusFreak screams the verse rather than growling.

One time a month! For a whole week!
You bust my balls! But you red leak!
It's so hot! Oh let me taste it!
I'll lick it up! There's nothing wasted!

Then there is a fast paced bridge type riff/solo from the lead guitar, which lasts only about 7 seconds (they try to fit a lot into a 90 second song y'know) Then it'sback to the verse again, same as before, same music, same screaming. We are also treated to a double dose of verse and the oh so lovely lyrics here.

I like your towels! Oh look at that red!
Your tampon! My kinda cigarette!
I'll light it up! Tastes like beef jerky!
My red smile! No cold turkey!

Whats is your fave? I like the chewy bits!
I love blood! Same way you lust for tits!
Four week cycle! It's like christmas!
Blood matted hair! In bushy wilderness!

Then we return to the chorus for the final time, and the original music starts again, fast paced, flying all over the place, blast beating, and the growl returns

I wanna dance in your period blood!
Oh let me stand in your period blood!
My monthly snack on your period blood!
Teabag my sack with your period bloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood!

The last long growl is followed by a loud chun chun chun chun chuuuuuuuunnnnnnnn on the guitar/bass, and a another fast double kick on drums, before FistPump batters all the cymbals in order. The end!
