Cassie just smiles at her. This looks a genuine smile, like she really isn't bothered

Glamazon looks surprised, then looks down, sad she isn't going to be killing someone tonight.

Regret. That was the one word Johnny Johnson had never expected to have in his mind when it came to looking back on his career. Since Johnny's brother Joey collapsed on stage, he had been doing nothing but regretting that he had asked Joey to go on. He has blamed nothing and no one but himself for Joeys health problems. In reality, it was not brought on by anything outward. It was an appendix related problem and Joey would be fine within a few days. Still, going on to perform at the IMAs without him just did not feel right.

The IMA stage was one John had seen before. Both as an award winner and as a performer. This time it felt different. Of course the show as now being presented by his ex-wife Stephanie Fierce, with whom John had not been on good terms. But this time he was older, wiser, but without his lifelong band-mate and brother. For the show they sent out an open letter asking for a bass guitar player to join the band for this one night only show. The call was answered by Matt Roberts, the wild bass player from Infinite. The kid reminded John and the guys of their younger, crazier days. That worried them a bit.

"John, this show is going to great. Matts gonna fill the spot perfectly, have some faith man." Robert and George had spend the entire night trying to reconfirm this fact with Johnny.

Now the time of the night had reached them and they were being called to go on. The show had been going on wonderfully without them thus far and the artists who preceded them had just as much right to be there as they did. Like any festival or multi-band event, the band was nervous but determined to prove themselves time and time again. This show, this IMA award show....why should this be different? Or at least thats what John repeated in his thoughts.

"The Rockers!"

They all heard the voice welcome them to the stage loud and clear. Only three of them went out right away. Robert Kain, lead guitarist. George Francis, drummer. Matt Roberts, One night only Bass Guitarist. Johnny Johnson? Slowly and silently John walked out onto the stage after everyone else had gotten to their instruments. Dressed in a black trench coat and a blood red T-Shirt he gave a grave look to the crowd.

"You know my brother is in the hospital at the moment..." he said in a low voice, nearly a whisper. "And..." he choked back a tear. Quietly Robert walked up and tapped him on the shoulder.

"Not now man...not here." John shook his head in agreement.

"Let's begin."

He swung an acoustic guitar over his shoulder and the band began the opening notes to "Black". This was the song that they had only begun at their last concert before Joey fell to the ground. Vivid images passed over Johns eyes as he gazed endlessly into the crowd. Like a black and white movie he saw Joey violently trembling on the ground as John slowly walked to the wall behind the shadows.

The song was being played in a lower key than normal, but John seemed to sing deeper with ease. His voice he noticed seemed to have control of him rather than the other way around. His mind slowly cleared until he turned around. This was a common stage behavior of Johns to turn and smile back at Joey. The image of Matt Robberts standing there, playing Joeys bass lines melted John.

Matt could do nothing but smile and raise his one arm, thinking John was praising him. He would have been but for the pain in his chest. The song ended and John turned back around.

"I uh...We have been working on some songs for a new album and uh...this is one of those" he stopped to cough "...those ones." He stammered and stumbled around the fret board of his guitar as he hunted for the correct starting chord. The song begun and fans instantly noticed he was playing a song from The Rockers latest album. It was called "The Last March of the Forgotten Ones" and was the title track. Baffled by the claim to it being a new song the fans still continued to cheer as he continued through the lyrics. The band joined in and the two guitarists, Matt and Robert had a short but sweet dueling bass/lead guitar solo.

The second song ended and the entire band looked out onto a cheering crowd. Suddenly an image of the hug he had received from Stephanie Fierce earlier came into his mind. It flashed as suddenly into his eyes as quick as the sudden heart attack that soon followed blocked the blood flow through his veins.

He fell to his knees grasping his chest and exhaling loudly. He thought hastily about his life. He had been here before....It was during a Birdies/IMAs performance that Johnny Johnson had experienced his first heart attack...and it was there he met his second. The audience in attendance gasped as he continued to fumble around. After hunting to find the microphone he had dropped he forced himself up to his feet again.

"I think I...uh...guys....song...The Way Home...." he attempted to get the band to begin the next song, "The Way Home" before fainting and falling face first off the stage. Shattering the guitar given to him by legendary country artist Jack Jameson as he went down. Kain and Francis jumped off the stage to help him as poor Matt Roberts called for help.

Once again paramedics were called out to a Rockers gig, but this time the problem was much more severe. Life and Death were at hand. Yet all Johnny could see was a white on black image of himself, arms raised high in front of a roaring crowd as he fell of the stage and tumbled over what small bit of grace he had left.

Stephanie Fierce starts to cry and heads out of the arena to the hospital, pleading Miss Vanity to do the rest of the show.

Matt Roberts looks bewildered on the stage for several minutes, completely unsure what to do. After several minutes, he sits down beside Eric with a shellshocked expression on his face.

It sounds too simple to be true, but consider the Great Wall of China, if you will: one stone at a time, man. That's all. One stone at a time. Jason stands and applauds for Infinite rabidly from backstage and gives him the thumbs up, smiling. After the speech, he proceeds to carry on with his show. The stage is quiet, apart from a smoky catwalk and some lights flickering purple and green. Then, the sound of a fire alarm rings, as if to say “I’m smoking hot, biatches!”. You see Jasons body silhouetted, with his arms crossed. Then the screen is torn and the show begins.

Jason comes onstage to generic pop-dance music and fluffs his hair back slightly. He is walking in a sassy, sexy way. Wearing an open-buttoned t-shirt and skinny black jeans, he crawls along the floor and makes snake like motions towards the crowd, whilst shaking hands with a few people and almost getting dragged in by an overzealous fan. After getting up, slightly scared, he edges away from the fan and continues his walk. He then proceeds to rip off his shirt and whip into the crowd, prompted many “woops”, just as the music changes to the iconic masterpiece “I’m Too Sexy For My Shirt” by bald headed geniuses Right Said Fred. He opens his arms and embraces the crowd.

When he gets towards the edge of the runway, he sits on the edge for a few seconds, shaking more hands and getting caught up in a conversation, before quickly standing up and making his way back. He gyrates and does a quite impressive cartwheel, before holding his arm in agony. He proceeds to curse himself and shakes this off, before sending kisses out into the crowd and skipping back and forth. He is truly making the most out of this.

For the finale, he jumps, touches the ground and a deliberately pathetic party popper goes off in the background. He then waves to the crowd, puts a towel around his neck and runs backstage leaving the crowd either in confusion or cheering avidly. A majority of the crowd are doing a mixture of both. The stage then dims down into darkness.

Behind the scenes, Jason is hi-fiving the organisers and putting his suit back on, before returning to his original seat as if nothing slightly peculiar at all happened whatsoever.

OOC: I had no clue whatsoever as to what I was supposed to do... this is my attempt anyway :P

Eric and Matt look at each other for several seconds, before both laughing and swearing out loud. The two then proceed to sprint up on-stage with childlike expressions of happiness on their faces. While Matt tackle-hugs Miss Vanity, Eric gives the acceptance speech.

Eric: I... I... THANK YOU! Everyone, yeah, thanks so much! This, really, this is brilliant. I'm kinda shit at giving out speeches, so if you'll all just kinda pull through this, it'll be over shortly.

Looking at Matt with a bewildered smile, Eric simply shrugs in disbelief before continuing.

Eric: Just wanna thank Greg Oldson for being the best drummer in the world, and Matt Roberts for being the best bassist. And for all the Infinite fans; you're truly the best. Thank you all for thinking so highly of 'Insomnia. This award means so much!

Smiling one last time at the crowd, Eric returns to his seat with Matt.

Daniel: EVERYONE BETTER GIVE IT UP FOR THE FUCKING BEST METAL BAND EVER!!!!

THE NIMRODS!

The entire arena went pitch black completely out of nowhere and the audience went silent. It stayed this way for about 2 minutes before the sound of feedback was heard and then what sounded like a guitar being plugged in. After another brief burst of feedback, a steady clapping was heard which the crowd copied without being instructed. Then, with the clapping almost used as a metronome, an unaccompanied bassline was soon heard. It would only be familiar to older Nimrods fans or people who had seen the Gilman video. After the bassline was repeated several times, a quick drum fill was played and when the last snare hit was played, the lights turned on to reveal 2 original and indeed naked Nimrods as well as the second guitarist Jaska who began playing their signature opener "The Fire". Near the middle of the song, a solo could be heard that was noticeably not being played by Jaska which made the question arise 'where's Jimmy? Is he even here?' as the song ended he was still nowhere in sight and the band stopped playing with the exception of Davey who was mindlessly jamming on his bass.

After about a minute of jamming, a familiar raspy voice was heard through the arena shouting "1,2,3,4!" extremely fast before the band began playing a heavy, Black Flag styled punk song with thumping bass, buzzsaw guitar, and lighting fast drums. A moment later the crowd near the back of the audience began cheering for no apparent reason. People in the middle of the audience looked back to see he source of the commotion only to see a short brown-haired and naked figure marching down the aisle with an old-school microphone and stand, spinning around and headbanging until he reached the middle of the aisle. Once he was halfway down the aisle he began running he reached the stage, climbing up the steps and walking to center stage he looked at the audience with an awkward gaze before once again shouting "1,2,3,4!" as the riff began playing again. Finally Jimmy, who after shaving and cutting his hair, resembled his younger self, began to sing which sounding more like and extremely fast rant.

Well I'm the son of a bitch, and I'm the son of a dog
And I'm a battered up, slithering bleeding frog
And I'm a part of what these bastards call life *scream*
You try to stare at me, and I will break your teeth
You've got no fuckin' idea what is like to be me
And you're pissed off cause I came from your wife.

Well I'm a loser, misfit and a freak
I am a devils spawn who fed on rotten meat
I never do what's right, I never speak what's true
The only thing I mean, is when I say fuck you.

After the chorus a fast instrumental break was played while Jimmy picked up a guitar and began to sing the next verse which was full of more mockingly-angsty lyrics, however he sang them with a sinister grin on his face, showing he missed performing in front of people. At the end of the second verse Jimmy let out another scream before playing a extremely "metal" fast and technical guitar solo, showing The Nimrods hadn't lost all of their edge. As the song ended in a cacophony of noise Jimmy spoke into the microphone.

Jimmy: It's so good to be fucking back! That one was called Loser.

The crowd applauds loudly for quite a while

Jimmy: SHUT THE FUCK UP! Just kidding, but seriously, don't you wanna hear more music? Alright then. Well guys, I let you down quite a bit pulling off my disappearing act, so I guess it'd be wrong if I didn't feel like you should Beat the shit Outta Me

The crowd cheers again as Jimmy begins playing the catchy hair-metal styled riff from the Nimrods song "Beat the Shit Outta Me" even though it was more commercial, the band and fans still like it a lot because of it's joking yet serious dark lyrics, which were a bit of a cry for held from Jimmy. Even though the lyrics are more of a joke, he sings the song with a completely serious face, showing he means what he's saying even though he knows he shouldn't.

Squeeze my throat, cause I like to me chocked
Call me your frog, because I can't wait to croak
You said you wanted to kill me so don't be a tease

You killed me with your eyes, I killed you with my lies
You said that when you cried, you wanted me to die
You said you want me said, so don't make me say please. PLEASE! (Screamed)

Chorus: Come on baby, baby please
Well baby wont you beat the fuckin' shit outta me
Begging girl, I'm on my knees, please baby won't you beat the fuckin' shit outta me

During the breakdown Jimmy managed to walk on top of the shoulders of the crowd as he had done before showing he had their support whenever he needed it. After playing his solo there, he walked back to the stage and the crowd sang along with him for the next verse and chorus. Which he sang while crying, showing his emotion not only from the song but from performing again.

Jimmy: Thank you all so very fucking much. We love you all, be sure to check out are music later. For those of you who don;t know....I'M JIMMY HIM AND WE'RE THE FUCKING NIMROOOODS!

The crowd cheers as the band leaves the stage giving high-fives and smiling

Glamazon: The Nimrods are fucking kickass!!! They killed it. (A close-to-drunk Glamazon wraps her arms around Eric and kisses him on the cheek, celebrating Infinite's best album win.) And now The Nimrods have won! I'm gonna faint.
