Rory Gallagher was also gifted with a lot of talent. Yes i like Rory more than mister Clapton. Satriani i prefere above Steve Vai, and Vai isnt even in my top 10, wow. Im a big Rush fan, so Lifeson must be in my Top 10. La Villa Strangiato, The Trees, A Farewell To Kings are good examples of how he can play both electric as acoustic. Same as Brian May. I like Brian, especialy his early work with Queen. Steve Hackett and Steve Howe are blessed with a lot of technique.

I tend to listen to music that doesn't have a lot of guitar solos - a factor which the majority count as being a 'good' guitarist. Give me someone who can strum a few chords with feeling over a generic fretwanker any day.
