You've got the Vietnam war as a big backdrop for which many musicians used to jumpstart careers and assist in protests. |

One of my favorites of MTV Unplugged has to be the Bjork episode.
@distortedaudio Acoustic Rap and Acoustic Rock are two different platforms. I could see your point, but it has no value whatsoever, since the show usually has a variety of artists.

I believe you. I just don't think they match Beach Boys, Beatles, even Floyd. |

Fucking Christ on a bike. Do you ever say ANYTHING that isn't the verbal equivalent of a massive dog turd? Fuck me sideways. That's one thing I love about this board, you never fail to fail to meet my expectations of basic human intelligence. |

Lately I've gotten into ODD FUTURE WOLF GANG KILL THEM ALL. KILL PEOPLE BURN SHIT FUCK SCHOOL. Yeah...Odd...Wolf...Haley. Oh and I've gotten into Wavves and more importantly Surfer Blood. |

Personally, I'm not a big fan of The Beatles and I cannot stand the Stones.
But once again, an opposing opinion obviously makes you stupid. |

But once again, an opposing opinion obviously makes you stupid. No Cody, having an opposing opinion does not make make anyone stupid. Dismissing The Rolling Stones as "generic pop crap" however is REALLY fucking stupid. I mean maybe when they started The Rolling Stones were marketed as Beatles clones, but they really never were. They were the rebels, it was The Beatles who were the good kids, or so the reputations went in 1964. I mean The Rolling Stones were more or less a blues-rock based band, heavily influenced by guys like Howling Wolf, Robert Johnson, Leadbelly, Sonny Boy Williamson, Blind Lemon Jefferson, John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters. The Beatles were too, but that influence never really came into their sound quite so obviously, unlike The Stones or The Bluesbreakers. Now I personally prefer The Beatles but I just don't think you can call any band generic when they pretty much influenced all rock music of the past 55 years. In fact I think doing so makes you an utter moron talking about things you have no clue about. But that's just me & I'm a rude cunt. |

I LOVE her. I am addicted to Bjork, I want to adopt her, and keep her in a room, and listen to her all day.

They were just pretty strong compared to other meds I started on. I'm OK with them now, I take four of them a day (plus 10 other pills - I'm really dosed up) and they help a lot with my falls. |
