Matt Urie and Nicole Woods aka Suburban Sunrise may be in charge of the most dynamic band of the decade,
or they might be in charge of a ticking time bomb that is destined to sink faster then a lead zeppelin. In recent
S.S news, they have been dropped from Junction Records, one of the top labels in the industry. Mind you this
wasn't a small contract, it was a massive multi-million dollar deal. On top of losing a stairway to heaven (hall of fame),
the band have filtered through a handful of musicians. To much change is bad for the soul of a band.

Yet with every interior bomb, Suburban Sunrise keep making fantastic records. I mean if Junction signed them for multi millions
then they are doing something right! It also helps that SS has been nominated for a few {b] Birdies[/b] including the coveted,
Best Band. But the real answer to their fast success is (drum roll...) HIT SONG after SONG! When electronica was added to the
driving beats, and catchy lyrics the band took on a whole new level of fantastic. Torn Filthy Love remains on of the best titular
tracks of this fresh decade.

Well Suburban Sunrise strike back tomorrow with the already leaked album, When All Else Fails...RUN. Some question if
the leak will hurt the sales. I say HELL NO! A great band has a truck load of fans. Fans support band by buying they're album.
Which ultimately leads to chart topping sales. Anyways tomorrow we will find out if Suburban Sunrise will continue down that
path of victory. (they will)

But even though I think the album will not falter I still feel that leaking albums sucks because those pirating assholes ultimately don't
support the industry. Which hurts the band. Which hurts music. Which hurts me.

The User
MATTT is my sorta RPer. He's simple, and to the point. Though MATTT is my kind of RPer, I would still like to see him promote SS more.
Starting a fresh thread justfor PR/merch would help. Keep connected by using links: http://www.therockstargame.com/forum/default.aspx?g=posts&t=6428

I also want more thorough concert RP....and a live album...

Final Thoughts

+Suburban Sunrise are riding a paved road to the top if they keep churning out hits.

- Matt & Nicole really need to step up and start cementing themselves before the only original members will be the amps.

OOC: Once again, awesome job! I think it'd be cool if you did something about Infinite down the road, if you don't mind. Keep doing this, please, because these are a terrific addition to the forum. :)
Kid Anything- Indie/Britpop/Shoegaze; influenced by Sigur Ros, XXYYXX, Kanye West, Blur, Oasis

(Bringing together an eclectic group of influences, Ulysses' songs are sung with carefree abandon by Nick Junk)

Kurt Ulysses - Songwriter, Guitarist, Backup Vocalist
Nick Junk - Vocals, Mojo

Infinite- Alternative/Experimental Rock; influenced by Muse, Radiohead, and The Beatles

(Known best for their experimental music and their frontman's eccentric behavior, the band disbanded after Eric Quillington's death to pursue solo careers or, in Matt Robert's case, peace of mind. Infinite released four albums over the course of their career; Blue Nebula, Midnight Skies, Insomnia, and Dancing about Architecture.)

Eric Quillington (Deceased) - Lead Vocals, Lead Guitar, Piano, Primary Lyricist
Matt Roberts - Bass
Greg Oldson - Drums, Backup Vocals, Secondary Lyricist
Amelia Florentine - Keyboards, Piano, Lyricist, Backup Vocals

"When asked 'how do you write?' I invariably answer, 'one word at a time', and this answer is invariably dismissed. But that's all it is. It sounds too simple to be true, but consider the Great Wall of China, if you will: one stone at a time, man. That's all. One stone at a time. But I've read you can see that motherfucker from space without a telescope."

The Sound Magazine Issue #3:Michelle Green the Indie/Folk Queen!

Now being such a young artist, sixteen year old Michelle Green is working in an industry
that strangles and murders young musicians. Often they find themselves starting out with
stars in their eyes, singing what they love. but sadly end up going the opposite direction due
to the studio system overpowering these fresh faces of music. This brutal fact does not seem
to apply to the Indie/Folk Queen, Michelle Green.

It was last year that we all got treated to a powerful, folk/pop/blues/indie sound that had so much
control, so much understanding behind it, it surely must have been from an experienced musician.
A surprise it was when radio ears discovered it belonged to a young 16 year old girl. That was last
August with the release of The Voice of Me. An album that boldly declares that Ms.Green has a
voice and it is here to stay.
Following this album was a single that only proved to the world that Green was indeed a young queen of
her choice genres. Dance With Danger sky rocketed to #8 in the top 20. Now the music scene has
been brought to it's knees with the sure hit single, you just lost your lover A single she worked on with
the super talented Ryan Ross Hernandez . If this is what we are to expect from her sophomore album,
of the same name, then we are in for one hell of a great album!

The User
Famouss7x7 is one of the "purest" RPers on TRSGFs. I say this because her/his? page is so clean and well organized
it should be a blue print on what to do for starters. I love how I can scroll down on her first post and see all M.G's
stats n' discography. She also is managing a handful of other acts that are well kept. Fantastic job F7x7!

Final Thoughts

+: Michelle Green is fantastic character. Lets hope F7x7 can keep to her roots BUT expand it to something fresh. She's
She's got a lot of time to expand and create because her pacing for releases are very far apart.

- All my characters are not in real time (NRT). I'm not a NRT sorta of guy. I like to release and I like to see characters that
I follow release stuff in reasonable amount of tim (a month or less). This is my personal taste. Though it does muck up
the timeline of a character.

Hello Ladies and Gents!

I've just got back from a soul changing vacation! And without further adieu I'd like to announce that The Sound Magazine will make up for
it's absence by releasing a double issue! That means two users, and two acts will be reviewed. Hope to see my readers around!

Sincerely,

THE SOUND MAGAZINE #4: Yumi Takashi Returns!

In 2009, the world was introduced to Japanese pop sensation Yumi Takahashi when she released her debut album DIAMOND. Now,
after over a year of silence, this hot, young sensation returns with what I believe is going to be one of the top albums of the year.
The album is themed around the title, which is LOVE.

Can Yumi make an impact? Put it this way, her controversial single, TONIGHT, has hit the #1 spot, and the MV is the number one
on the trending list. Let me tell you that the video will have you melting. The single is probably the most original sound I have heard
for a long time. Yumi Takashi has returned. Are you ready?

The User
YUMI: She's been around but she's new to me. I enjoy her posts, and her pleasant attitude. Her RP posts are a bit light but effective.
I'd like to see her post lyrics and more descriptions.

Final Thoughts

+ I'm a big fan of Japanese Pop. Yumi is hot. Her sound is hot. She's a winner.

- Sometimes staying away for such a long period of time can harm your fan base. Will it for Yumi?

[b' The Sound Magazine #5: Hot Eye Records Bids Farewell! [/b]

The end is here. That is for the most prestigious record company, Hot Eye Records. Yesterday H.E.R head, Stephanie Fierce announced
that she would be closing the doors to this legendary studio. The official press release states that artists under contract will have the option to stay and
complete their respective deals or cut loose early. A very nice gesture on H.E.R part.

But why? Hot Eye has the hottest recording acts in the biz. What would cause this music empire to close the doors? Could it be internal problems? Or is
Stephanie Fierce going to focus on music? I mean she is realizing the Greatest of album. My fear is that with the closing of H.E.R, the music industry that
was basically kickstarted by this studio will turn into mush. This industry as already started to sizzle. Can it handle this burn?

+: none

-: The industry is dying. This confirms it.

Abie: Yumi is unique I love her very much, and H.E.R. is such sad news, to know that such a big enterprise is closing its door, I'm sure it will impact on music industry! Very worry about it.
