I actually really like it. Know Your Enemy was a bad choice to put out first (it's pretty shallow) and a lot of people underrated the album because of it. Most of the other songs are pretty good, especially 21st Century Breakdown, East Jesus Nowhere and Peacemaker. A lot of it is a bit more punkish than, say, American Idiot, but a lot of the later songs, or the last "act" as they call it, are incredibly ballady and soppy.
Anyone else like it? |

It has 3 good songs (East Jesus Nowhere, See the Light and Horseshoes and Handgranedes), 3 unbearable songs (Restless Heart Syndrome - the worst song they ever did, Last Night on Earth and Know Your Enemy) and the rest is pretty generic to me. It took them 5 years to re-make Warning. |

Raphalea in my opinion it sounds nothing like Warning but after giving the album another chance I'm starting to like it more. |

What about Schrodinger's cat? Since they're all largely the same but apparently exist in only two states, is there a point at which a song instantly becomes unbearable or could it be both unbearable and good simultaneously? |

When I first listened to it, I was like "Wait, this looks like Misery! And this one like Deadbeat Holiday!..." I can even relate a song to a My Chemical Romance's song. Restless Heart Syndrome and Last Night on Earth are slow ballads, not my thing. Know Your Enemy pisses me off because it's too repetitive. East Jesus Nowhere I mostly like because of the lyrics, and Horseshoes and Handgrenades because it sounds something like 70's, 80's rock for me... I have to agree most songs on the album sound pretty much the same, but I spent about an year of my life listening to nothing but Green Day so I can see many differences on their songs :P |
