Oh, I've seen some of it. I think I might have even watched 2 whole seasons. Maybe half of season 2. But it's just not really been incredibely gripping for me. Bryan Cranston is very good in it, but I dunno. Not feeling it as much as everyone else seems to be. |

See Linus is a tricky one. I mean he's interestiing in a lot of ways but he's also kind of...I mean early on he was established as a man who lies & manipulates people constantly. And yet PEOPLE NEVER LEARNT that Ben was a dude with an agenda all of his own that rarely matches with anybody elses! Locke especially, Jesus, number of times that dude got swerved by Ben is ridiculous. But I guess that's just one of those things with Lost that you have to accept, ridiculous as it is. And I don't want to say that Ben is a 2D character because that's not really accurate, but he sort of seems like a character in an RPG where the player chooses the most unpleasant option everytime. I like how I've just started season 6 now & they've managed to introduce even more new characters too, including one guy doing a mean early 70s John Lennon impression (well OK, not impression, but he is reminiscent of him) who I think is the dude who played Saul Star in Deadwood. The other character I really like a lot is Richard Alpert, who has a pretty cool episode coming up. |

I just finished the West Wing this week. Quite a good show, that. Does rather reinforce my idea that however great a president's ideals, at the end of the day it's really difficult to get anything good done. |

Yeah, exactly. It totally turned the character upside down. It was just...not Toby. I think it bothered me more the 2nd time I watched more so than the 1st |

His opening lines are so awesome. His use of puns impress me. Also, Pony-Based Economy. YES! Edited by user 13 January 2012 07:37:03(UTC)

Whilst I love many things, it's the fact he wears a boot on his head that does it for me. |

So I mentioned maybe getting a coffee with Caroline before she went on her final European holiday to Turkey and Spain, and so she gets back last night and is all like "so, when are we going to have that coffee?" and "I might come along for drinks tomorrow night, so we can arrange the coffee then?". This is odd because before she left things seemed super-awkward. Mixed signals.
This of course being the coffee over which I was planning to say "yo, I guess I like you and stuff, but you're going back to NZ, so never mind, let's just at least stay friends even if that means forgetting I said anything just now..." Guess I won't be chickening out of this one. Which is good, but scary. |

I understand how scary it is to confess your feelings, especially to a friend but sometimes you just have to man up an do it. You guys are both adults, if she's a half decent person then if she doesn't return your affections, she'll have to decency not to try and make things awkward. |

I'm so glad the internet is back. And that if anything, it's even faster here than it was back in Kinning Park. |
