My typical grime music isn't really as interesting to me as it once was, and this is really something to look out for. It's just a shame that i could never really make an album like this is set to be - not on my own anyway. OOC: this looks quite good, i'm looking forward to seeing it :)

Its about being in a seriously dark place in my life, where I just wanted to pack my bags and visit the grave. One thing was on my mind, death. I was in a relationship comprised of only sex, I was popping pills back like sweets and just generally living a reckless life. I know some might say, I still am.. and well, I agree. Its a pretty honest reflection of how people thought they controlled me, I always looked like the bad guy no matter what. The thing is too, when you feel this way, you don't feel like there is anyone who can help, you just soldier on and well.. hope. Its like kinda electronic and ill admit, i used a voice encoder to give off certain effects. Its a largely synth based hardcore song, not unlike music I made with Chasing The Sun but a little heavier. I also got my good friend Lily Williams to contribute on the vocals. It's probably the heaviest song on the EP. The Music The song opens with a keyboard lightly playing in the background before Alex's vocals come in quickly. As he sings the opening verse, the keys remain quiet and haunting before a synth based instrumental plays as the verse is finished. This goes on for around 20 seconds before Alex kicks in with the chorus where the drums and guitars hit the deck. The next verse is then screamed by Alex as he trots his way through to a synth backing and a constant bang from the bass drum. The next chorus comes in strongly and carries its weight through before it all goes silent much like the start of the song to just minor keys playing in the background when a haunting female voice comes over the top of them. After they conclude, the song jumps back into full throttle as Alex screams his way through the verse to a very climatic finish at the chorus, where during the female voice is still present singing in the background. The song plays out the familiar voice again as the synth's start to die off and all goes quiet. They are really different and this song just feels so raw and stripped down. Their is next to no production at all involved in it, just me in a room singing with an acoustic guitar. The other standout thing for this is that it contains just one verse screamed, its purely clean vocals all round apart from that. On the song front, its, well, like all the other songs on the EP its very personal to me. Thinking nobody cares about you, that everyone is more or less expecting and in some cases want you to fail. IT has a little dig a journo's because they seem to only concentrate on the negative aspects of my life. It just feels so, raw, its really the only word i can describe for it. I hope everyone enjoys it, and that certain people listen and understand." The Music The song is a mid-tempo acoustic ballad. Its a different take on a song from Ward, with the guitar playing in the background as he sits back and releases his frustration and aspects on what everybody thinks of him. The appropriately titled track tries its best to get across the point that he is not the only one that commits sins, and that we are all doing it everyday. Ward skips through the verses at a reasonable speed before a long held not as the chorus comes in. The song plays out in the same mood as it begins.
