The scene is the tour bus belonging to Scott R.H. on Lily's Supply and Demand World Tour. The tour, literally less than 24 hours old, has already rolled through Miami, and now the buses sit parked by the side of the road in what has become to Scott 'just another city..a wall of glass windows and faceless suits darting from place to place.' It gets like that after a while. When you've toured the world for around 13 years, cities tend to blend together, and the bus is your only haven from the realisation that none of this is home.
He sighs at the realisation, tipping his head back as he allows the lukewarm dregs of a bottle of Stella Artois slip effortlessly down his throat. He takes the empty bottle in his hand and sits it gently on the floor, unlocking the screen on his mobile phone and looking through the list of contacts therein. He coughs and then looks at his watch, shaking his head slightly

Spraying some perfume on, Arianna Harley looked into the mirror and ran her hands through her hair slowly; who knew a phone call with someone would require so much effort? She liked to think she was presentable and looked her best at all times, she walked from the bathroom into her living room and sat back on a sofa, pressing her red lips to a glass of rosé, taking a sip and placing it back down. She picked up her mobile, found Scott in her contacts and pressed the call button. |

Scott groaned as he relaxed back into the sofa aboard the tour bus. No matter how much you paid to hire out one of these things, it was never going to be as comfortable as the £10,000 couch in his living room at home. He stretched slightly and ran his hands through his hair. It was getting long. He always knew it was getting long when it didn't quite sit right when he spiked it up.
Standing up, he walked to the kitchen area, pulling out another beer from the fridge. Opening the beer, he pressed the frosted glass to his lips as he nonchalantly wandered back towards the sofa. Throwing himself back down on it, he picked up the remote for the 32-inch screen on the wall. God it looked small compared to the real widescreen he had back in NY.
He was just about to turn on the TV when he was startled by the ringing of his phone. Pulling it from his pocket, he read the number on the screen, quite unsure who it was. He slid his finger hesitantly over the "answer" bar.
"Hello," he asked, questioningly. |

Kicking off her heels, Arianna then grabbed them and placed them neatly right by the sofa. Her house was spotless, not the biggest, obviously she hadn't made that much money yet being a newcomer, but it was cosy and satisfying enough for her. She always thought she'd get lost in those oversized mansions that many seem to have. She put her legs up on the sofa as she bit her bottom lip softly, waiting patiently for him to pick up. And as she heard his voice for the first time, she quickly lowered the volume on the TV.
"Guess who?", she let out an infectious giggle afterwards. |

Still slightly confused as he answered the phone, Scott placed the TV remote gently beside him, just in case the call was important. He didn't want to be interrupted by the sound of some idiotic comedy after all, especially not if this was one of his artists...he had to impress at the end of the day. Holding the phone against his ear with one hand, he brushed his hair back with the other as he rested his back against the rear of the sofa, bringing his free hand round and running it through the stubble on his face as he waited for a reply.
As he heard the voice at the other end, and that familiar laugh, the corners of his mouth twitched, and curled upwards into a gentle smile.
"Well that wouldn't happen to be the voice of my favourite employee would it?" He asked softly |

With Jared sat on an armchair close to her, he was about to ask something, but she put her finger to her lips to silence him as he closed his mouth again, looking unamused. The pair had been writing songs together for their debut album for most of the evening. She took another sip from her glass and placed it down, smiling afterwards.
"Hmm... I don't know, I'd like to think so, boss", she giggled again as Jared gave her a confused look. |

Scott smiled wider as he chuckled ever so slightly at the comment from Arianna. He swivelled slightly on the sofa so that he was able to bring his feet up onto it and lay back, putting the phone back against his ear. He crossed one leg, bent at the knee, over the other as he lay with one hand behind his head.
"Well if you happen to be in a band called Hey Lolita...mystery caller...then you most certainly are," he said with a grin. |
