She giggled, "I know, trust me!" Nadia nodded, biting down on her bottom lip to stop herself from laughing at Katie's comments about Sophia. "Aww, Sophia's really sweet though, she just gets along with everyone really. Chantal's a lot harder to deal with in comparison." Her eyes widened and she laughed, "Umm... maybe when we're both a little less drunk, then we'll talk about it!"

She simply smirked at Katie's comment and then lowered her head. "I guess so," she said softly, "Not that I've been with like fifty different guys because I haven't. But I had this one relationship before Ryan." She filled her glass up again, clearly forgetting about what she previously said about having no more. "Comparing my relationship now to that one, I was never really all that into him. But at the time, I was a mess and he treated me like dirt. So I'd rather not talk about it."

Nadia sighed and took another long drink from her glass, she was too drunk at this stage to really care about the awkwardness between them right now. She tried to reassure her, "Just forget about it, it's okay." She tried to get up and then fell back down into her seat as she laughed, "Oh god... help." She stood up once again and moved forward slowly to try and keep her balance, "I'll see you in the morning, night!"

Nadia giggles, "You'd think differently if you were in the band, you'd say they were just any old ordinary, annoying girls!" She laughed, lifting her head back, unable to stop as Katie made another joke. She wiped her tears of laughter away and then looked over at Katie, clearly the alcohol had given her a case of the giggles.

She pretended she didn't hear Katie's little mistake, "Could you imagine if Ryan was really a girl? I've been a lesbian for all this time and didn't even know it!" She burst back into laughter again over the silliest of thoughts, covering her mouth to try and stop.

Nadia made her way down the one step at the back of the bus and down the little hallway into her room, she walked in and pushed the door closed. Her hands reached out until she found a small lamp next to her, she turned it on, still barely able to see much. She leaned against the wall to stop herself from falling over as she pulled her clothes off of her, before reaching out to Ryan's shirt nearby to go and put it on.

Nadia's insane laughter must have scared Boots a little, as she jumped down from her spot and decided to lay on the floor instead.

She giggles once again at Katie's comment, "Aww, but we've always been secret lovers!" She places her hand on her chest and flutters her eyelashes playfully, "What can I say, he... I mean, she's the one!" Nadia bursts out with laughter again and falls sideways down on the seats. She leans back up again and tries her best to get herself together.

Once in her room as she attempts to change, she hears her door open from behind her, she gasps slightly and before she gets the chance to turn around, Katie crashes into her and she falls down onto her bed with her. She feels the softness of her covers against her face and she closes her eyes, somehow oblivious to everything that just happened. She mumbles something in response to Katie in a quiet voice, her eyes still closed, before she drifts off to sleep.

The tour bus has long since drawn to a halt in the Japanese city of Fukuoka by the time the first of the two girls stir. With the sun beating down on the window of the bus, daylight almost fills the room around the nude forms of Katie Coyle and Nadia Berry lying in bed together, the result of too much drink and an inconspicuous fall which saw them wind up here. Nothing had happened between the pair, despite the fact that Katie had drunkenly tried to kiss Nadia before being pushed away by her best friend, yet here they lay, neither clothed, in the same bed.

With the sound of a bird call softly coming through the window, the eyelids of Katie Coyle flickered slightly, as she stirred slowly back to an ever-so-slightly wakened state. Before she even opened her eyes, Katie could feel the pain in her head and the dryness in her throat, a sure fire result of too much drinking. She groaned quietly, her eyes still closed as she tried to adjust to the light coming in the window. When she eventually opened her eyes ever so slightly, Katie rubbed them with the back of her hand.

Opening her eyes at last, Katie found herself staring at the smooth bare back of her companion in bed. Without any knowledge of how she had gotten to bed, and her half-sleeping state robbing her of the ability to work logically, Katie assumed it was Julia. She thought it odd, as Julia normally lay behind Katie, cradling her all night. Shaking this thought from her head though, Katie yawned and moved closer, tracing her finger slowly up the back of the sleeping brunette. Wrapping her arm around her ribcage, Katie placed a small kiss on her shoulder and then nuzzled into her neck before drifting back off to sleep.

As Katie drifted back off to sleep, her breathing become soft and slow again. The light was no longer bothering her, and the quiet chirping of the Japanese birds outside was now merely acting as a soothing background noise, as she lay with her arms around "Julia", quietly dreaming and trying to sleep away the hangover she had developed.

Katie started to dream, a strange dream about something that had happened that she just couldn't figure out. In the dream, Katie was aware that something wrong had happened. That she had done something to someone, but the dream Katie could not for the life of her figure out what it was. She lay in bed, whimpering slightly in her dreaming state, and allowing her arm to tighten slightly around the girl still asleep in front of her.

Just then, Katie was shocked back to reality by the girl in her arms sitting bolt upright. Her eyes flashed open, and the accompanying headache hit her square in the forehead. She squinted up expecting to see Julia, just as Nadia yelled at her. It took a few seconds for her to realise what was was going on, and then the panic set in. She was in bed, naked, with Nadia. She opened her eyes fully just in time to see an angry look on her friends face. She groaned. "Nadia....what...? I didn't..." After a few more seconds, Katie sat up, hugging the sheets to herself. She closed her eyes, unable to recall anything, and sat there, her knees clenched to her chest, in pure silence.

As Nadia became more animated, Katie felt ever more ashamed. She didnt have a clue what had happened between them the night before, but it certainly would not have been the first time that she had seduced a straight girl. As much as she had joked about this, and even dreamt of it, the idea that it actually may have happened made her feel sick. She knew that if she had.slept with Nadia, her.friendship was gone forever, and she just sat, staring at the wall as Nadia spoke, shame washing over her.

As Nadia threw the curtains open, Katie threw the bedsheets around herself, feeling unbelievably ashamed, more naked than she ever had. Nadia spoke to her, but nothing entered Katie's head and she just sat there staring. When Nadia tried again to reason with her about the events.of the night before, Katie bowed her.head. She just shrugged slowly. It was all she could muster. And it was true. She had no clue what had happened either.

After a while, Nadia left, and Katie sat stock still, a single tear running down her face. A few.minutes later, she stood up and put her shorts and tshirt on. Her head ached like mad, but she barely cared.now. Walking out of the room, Katie wiped her eyes and walked into her room, closing the door and sitting down on the carpet, tears silently falling.

Katie sat in the centre of her room wearing nothing but the shorts and tshirt that she had discarded last night in order to climb into bed with Nadia. As she sat there, wishing she could be anywhere else, she ran the events of the evening over and over in her head, but nothing would come back to her. Had she really let her friendship die by sleeping with the one girl who she trusted more than anyone else on earth at the moment? In the silent room, her head only ached worse, the hangover punishing her for whatever she had or hadn't done last night. At that time, all she wanted was Lucas. She wanted to hold her son and forget everything. But he wasn't here, so she hugged her knees and felt the trickle of a warm tear transfer from her cheek to her soft thigh, trickling down slowly.

Hearing Nadia boil the kettle, Katie stood up eventually. The whole thing was making her feel uneasy. She threw on an old sweatshirt and wrapped her arms around herself again. Looking around the room, she didn't know what to do. Then she heard Nadia call out to her, and her stomach lurched. She couldnt go out there. Not now. She was far too ashamed. Feeling her nerves kick in, she sat back on the floor, facing away from the door, just as she heard Nadia softly knock and say her name. She didn't answer. She couldn't.

Still sitting on the floor, Katie tried to block out the noise of Nadia knocking on her door. The last thing she wanted at this moment was for Nadia to come in to the room and be mad at her again. She didn't want this to make things weird between them, but given that none of them could remember what had happened, she wasn't sure how they would manage to get over it. She looked over her shoulder for a second, contemplating packing her stuff, either to move to a different bus, or even more extreme, just go home. She had never finished a tour anyway...it wasn't like it would give anyone anything new to laugh at her for.

A few minutes later, Katie flinched a little as the door opened and Nadia came in. As her friend sat on the bed near her, Katie subconsciously edged a little farther away, trying to keep some semblance of distance between the two of them. As Nadia apologised for getting mad, Katie simply nodded her head. She breathed deeply and then tried to look up, but found that she just could not look her friend in the face. When she spoke, it was very quiet.

"I don't think I would have slept with you. I don't know, but even if I did try it...I would be too nervous." She sighed, trying not to cry. "If I did try it, I'm sorry. I didn't even mean it."

Katie nodded a little, still staring at the grounds. She kept puffing out her cheeks and then using her knee to blow the air out. Sighing, she decided she didnt have it in her to even look up at Nadia yet. She felt sad that Nadia and herself were awkward around each other at this point, and she so wanted to just try to hug the problems away. "Ok Nadia. We didnt do it. I suppose I should trust you to not have let me do anything anyway." She felt her phone vibrate, and then she switched her phone off, running her hand back and forth across the carpet. She sighed. "You really think we didnt?"

The idea of CCTV made Katies stomach lurch again. What if she saw the worst? What if she saw herself being lewd to Nadia? It would ruin everything, and she needed Nadia to stay string on this tour. She could not do it without her. If they had slept together, Katie knew theyd never talk again, and that would be awful. But she needed.to know at the same time. She took a deep breath and sighed, srill staring down.

"Ok Nadia. Lets watch it."

Katie nodded as she listened to Nadia repeat over and over how they had not slept together. For the briefest of seconds, she felt like turning and asking Nadia what was so wring with her that she was so scared they had slept together? But she knew the answer. They were both in loving relationships; they were best friends; plus, Nadia is straight. Katie breathed slowly, her exhalation sounding far wobblier than when she breathed in. Sitting on the floor still she nodded. This was it. Was this going to be the moment she lost the best friend she had ever had?

Standing up, Katie slowly walked to the sofa area, keeping her hands tucked inside her sweater, and looking down all the time. She threw herself onto the sofa, tucking her legs underneath her as she tried her best to keep her eyes on the TV. At the moment Nadia pressed play, Katie felt her whole body tremble. Was this about to be the moment where she saw the worst thing ever? She had almost resigned herself to the fact that she had fucked up, knowing everything was about to be ruined.

As Katie fixed her eyes on the screen, she saw Nadia standing in her room naked. At this point any other time, Katie would have made a joke of some sexual kind about Nadia, but she knew this was not the right time or place, and she kept it to herself. When she saw herself walk into the room, Katie felt nervous. This was it...was she actually going to go through with it. She nervously closed her eyes and bit her bottom lip, praying and begging for it not to have happened. When she opened them again, she saw herself very drunk, bumping into Nadia and sending her sprawling onto the bed. As she undressed in the video, Katie made to get up and leave the room, scared at what she was going to see. She was shocked however to simply see herself fall asleep. As the tape fast-forwarded through the night, Katie felt the muscles in her chest relax.

"Wow..." she said quietly. "I thought I had runied everything." She fell back into the sofa and sunk down onto it slowly.
