As Katie stood there with tears rolling slowly off the end of her nose dripping onto the carpet, she felt distinctly pathetic. It had been easy for her to act all tough and cool over Twitter when she and Nadia had fought, yet here she was, face to face with her best friend, and even knowing that Nadia was here, despite the fact she had yet to look up, made her felt sad. She felt bad for every word she had said to Nadia, and it killed her to think that she had upset one of the people who meant more to her than they would ever know. Katie secretly wanted to run to Nadia, throw her arms around her and sob and sob into her shoulder until all the pain went away. But it was going to be different this time. They had both said a lot of things, and Katie knew that they had to talk. Even then, she wondered if Nadia would ever forgive her.

Katie hears Nadia shuffling around, and felt nervous, not knowing what to expect next. She knew Nadia would never hit her, but her own mind telling her not to look up was leaving her feeling like she was vulnerable nonetheless. She had never felt quite this awful before. Not for something she had done. A lot had happened between Nadia and she, and Katie knew that her fellow Londoner was the main reason she had been able to survive a gruelling tour so far. She didn't want it to end though. All she wanted was for them to go back to how they were,Nadia and Katie, best friends.

When she heard Nadia pat the sofa, Katie half looked up, not making eye contact with her friend. She reached into her pocket, pulling out a handkerchief and dabbing carefully at the corners of her eyes. When Nadia spoke, she felt ever so slightly reassured. It was wonderful for her to just hear that voice again. After a few seconds, she walked slowly to the sofa, her hands gripping the inside of her sleeves, and sat tentatively down. Katie took a deep breath, it sounded wobbly and full of tears as she tried to stop her bottom lip vibrating. Eventually she spoke. "I don't hate you," she mouthed softly. "I'm just so sorry, and I miss you so much..." by the end of the sentence, her voice was but a whisper, as she fought the tears. "You've done so much for me Nadia and I treated you so bad..."

Nadia was certainly emotional right now, but surprisingly, she wasn't a total wreck like she expected herself to be. It was no secret that Nadia had a tendency to cry during situations like these, but she remained strong and willing to save her friendship. It was almost as if her eyes just couldn't possibly cry any more, Nadia had cried for the majority of the past few days and although she hid her problems on stage, she had been lonely and depressed when off of it. She was just grateful that when on stage, there were people in front of her that were there to support her, she was able to escape for a little while during the day.

She looked over at Katie who took a seat beside her, Nadia edged a little closer to her and smiled at her as she spoke. "Now look who's being soppy," she laughed softly, passing her a box of tissues that were next to her on the table.

"I miss you too," she said in a soft tone, giving her a hug. She paused after Katie mentioned how she had treated her, thinking about the things she said to Katie herself. She shook her head slightly in disapproval of herself, whilst looking at the floor. "I said some horrible things and treated you terribly as well... I hope you can forgive me, I didn't mean any of it, honest." She laughed a little, "Truth is, I would be so lost without you on this tour. I've been such a mess these past few days, you have no idea."

Katie felt completely stupid for sitting and crying in front of Nadia, especially since Nadia wasn't. She hadn't really known what to expect in truth. She knew that Nadia could be quite emotional at times, and she had seen her friend cry a few times in the past when she had been fighting with Ryan over something. But Nadia seemed to be a lot stronger than Katie at the moment. Either that, or she wasn't too bothered at it all. Katie didn't want to think that though. Of course Nadia cared. She thought back to all they had gone through together, and it made her tears well up further. She was still worried that maybe Nadia would hate her. It had been a very tough few days. What had made it worse, was that she had sneaked side-stage at every gig since they had fallen out, only to see Nadia look confident, vibrant and lively on stage. If she was feeling as bad as Katie, she was certainly disguising it better. Katie felt like a nervous wreck on stage every night, and it was a massive effort to not burst into tears up there.

Katie managed to let out the slightest little hint of a laugh when Nadia called her soppy. She raised her handkerchief to her eyes again and patted the corner of her eyes a little as she finally looked up at Nadia, her eyes looking tired and red. "I...I know...it's...just been hard," she said through her crying. She pushed the hair put of her face.

When Nadia said that she missed Katie and leaned in for a hug, it pushed her over the edge. Katie wrapped her arms tight around Nadia's back and burst into tears, allowing her face to rest on Nadia's shoulder as she stopped fighting the tears. "I love you Nadia. I do and I'm so sorry for everything." She looked at Nadia and remembered all the nasty things she had said. "I didn't mean any of what I said Nad. You know how much I respect you and GirlSpice. I'm sorry...I'm just so sorry." She put her hand on top of Nadia's. "I can't manage out here without you. I've been a wreck this week."

She looked down again.

Nadia looked deep into Katie's eyes as she spoke, a small smile formed at the corners of her mouth, she knew that things were finally back to normal between the two of them. Nadia hoped something like this wouldnt happen again on the tour, but there wasn't any guarantee in that; especially as both of their emotions were all over the place right now. Boots woke up from her small dog bed in the corner of the room, and then walked over to Katie and wagged her tail, sniffing her curiously as if to show she was puzzled to why Katie was crying. Nadia looked down and smiled at her, and then her eyes moved back to Katie, giving her a bigger smile this time once she touched her hand.

The last place Nadia wanted to be was in this hotel right now, it was too riddled with her depressing thoughts and emotions over the last few days. It was as if staying here would drive her crazy, "Listen, why don't we just both go back to the bus and forget this ever happened, yeah?" Both of them were pretty good at that, just forgetting their embarrassing and awkward situations and moving on from them.

She leaned in for another hug as she spoke softly, "We've gotta keep strong for the rest of this tour, okay? We need each other, missy!" She let out a gentle laugh, and then sighed with relief as she broke away from the hug and looked back out of the window for a moment.

Katie kept her eyes on Nadia as she spoke. It felt good to get the apology out at last. A lot of times in life, it was nice to rid her body of an apology just so that she could feel less guilty about being horrible to someone, but this time it felt better, because she felt like she was genuinely apologising to Nadia and letting her know just how sorry she really was. She didn't want Nadia to think that Katie had ever thought any of the things she said was true. Because they weren't. She smiled a little, and for the first time, she felt like they would be alright again. For the last week she had been terrified that they would never get back to being friends again, and she only hoped that this would be the last of the friction between the two. Katie saw movement in the corner of her eye and looked down to see Boots sniffing her leg. She smiled a little and stroked the dog. "Hey puppy. I'm ok..." she laughs a little again.

When Nadia spoke, Katie smiled again and nodded. "Yeah. The bus has been really lonely without you Nads." Truth was, Katie had done little except lie in her bed feeling sorry for herself since everything had happened. "Look at me," she joked, rubbing her eyes, "I'm a total mess right now." She looked over at Nadia and gave her another reassuring smile. They had had a few run ins, but things were always alright between them in the end.

Katie closed her eyes and hugged Nadia again. "Yeah, I know. We gotta be there for each other. It's hard enough being out here without having my best friend." Katie looked on as Nadia looked out of the window. "Something wrong?" she asked softly.

As the mood of their conversation between them had lightened up, Nadia finally felt more at ease now with Katie. She hadn't known what to say to her when she first arrived at her hotel room door in case she accidentally made anything worse between them, but things seemed a lot better now. Nadia was just grateful that they were back on the mend, this tour was supposed to be a time for her to have fun with her best friend, not to wreck their friendship completely.

As Katie asked Nadia if there was something wrong, her stomach turned and she closed her eyes for just a few seconds, before opening them again. Her eyes were a little watery, and she hated herself for allowing it to happen. "Why would anything be wrong?" she asked in a confused tone, trying to make out that everything was fine. She gave Katie a smile to try and reassure her, and then she stood up and grabbed her suitcase, beginning to pack her things into it.

She quickly changed the topic of the conversation, "I guess I better pack and get out of here as quickly as possible then. I can't stand to be here any longer." Nadia threw things into the suitcase frantically, as if she was racing against time, quickly pulling as much as she could out of the wardrobe at once.

Katie felt a little better now. She didn't know why, but in her happy state, her throat still gave out funny little involuntary sobs, as if delighted that they had managed to make things right at last. She kept smiling at Nadia as if to keep reassuring her that everything was alright now at last. It had been horrible to think that they might not talk when she got here, but now she felt a million times better, and sure that they would be fine at last. She thought of all the fun they had had before the fall ut, and felt the corners of her lip turn upwards. Suddenly the tears stopped and she felt so much better.

When she asked the question, Katie kept her eyes fixed on her friend. Nadia had a tendency to not tell Katie when something was wrong. It was almost like she didn't want to worry her,but Katie wanted to know, so she watched her for any tell-tale signs that she wasn't being truthful. When she saw Nadia keep her eyes closed and take a deep breath, Katie's stomach lurched. She looked at Nadia, as if willing her friend to confide in her. What could possibly be so bad that she wouldn't want to tell Katie? Even when she smiled, Katie felt like something was wrong, and she continued to stare at Nadia until her friend stood up.

Watching Nadia pack, Katie was certain she wasn't going to air whatever the problem was without further prompting. After waiting a while, the starlet walked over to her friend, who was frantically packing, and placed a gentle hand reassuringly on her shoulder. "Please Nad...what is it?" She asked softly.

As Nadia continued to messily pack everything by simply throwing it into the suitcase, she eventually cleared her wardrobe and zipped up her suitcase with some effort, finding it hard to close with all the stuff inside of it. It was as if she was trying to run from this hotel, like it was some bad luck charm and the longer she stayed in it, the more bad things would happen. Of course, she had managed to keep her cool throughout the conversation with Katie, but it was all a little too much for her now.

She panicked as Katie walked closer and continued to question her, scared to say it. She had a serious tone to her voice, "Not now, Katie, I can't tell you right now." She grabbed her suitcase and placed it on the floor, pulling the handle up, before gathering all of Boots' things together. "Please don't ask me again, I can't tell you right now. Not anyone. I can't, I'm not ready." From the sound of her voice, it sounded like she was close to bursting into tears.

She took a deep breath once she got everything together, the rest of the room looked like a mess, it was easy to tell she had a rough few days. "Shall we go?"

Katie continues to stand behind Nadia, watching her friend frantically pack. When Nadia doesn't react too kindly to the friendly hand on the shoulder, Katie feels a little worried. What could it possibly be that Nadia could not talk to Katie about? She continued to stare at the back of her friend's head, as if trying to draw the information out through some form of telekinesis. She spoke softly again after Nadia scolded her for asking.

"Nadia...whatever it is, you can tell me...I don't judge." She looked at her friend again. Although Nadia looked and sounded stern with Katie, she was sure that she was more scared than she was angry. Katie tried to smile at her, but failed to catch her eye at any point. She stuffed her hands into her pockets, a resilient look spreading over her face. She could tell it was eating away at Nadia, and she would feel like a bad friend if she didn't reach out.

As Nadia asked to go, Katie slowly shook her head. In a mirroring of Nadia's own actions from just minutes before, Katie dropped onto the sofa, patting the cushion next to her to ask Nadia to sit down.

Nadia wheeled her suitcase to the door with one hand, she then puts Boots in her dog bag and picked that up with her other. She looked around at Katie who was seen on the sofa, she huffed and rolled her eyes, all she wanted to do right now was get out of the hotel as quickly as possible. She of course appreciated Katie's concern, but she was scared to tell her what it was, afraid that she'd burst into tears, something she was tired of.

She felt her eyes water again as she pleaded, "Katie, please don't make me tell you. Not yet." She turned around to wipe her eyes, and then she faced her again as she stood in the doorway, "Come on, get up, let's go."

Katie sat on the sofa and waited as she saw Nadia continue to pack her stuff. She sighed and stared at the back of her friend's head as she packed boots away and picked the dog up. Katie patted the sofa again when Nadia turned, trying to do her best to be a good friend. She gave a little smile that told Nadia that it would be alright, that she could confide in her. She watched Nadia roll her eyes at her and her heart sank ever so slightly. She didnt understand. All she wanted to do was help out with whatever was bothering someone she cared about.

When Nadia spoke again, Katie felt a little upset. Did Nadia not trust her? Perhaps they werent as close as she thought. Maybe their friendship had been damaged more than she thought. But she had to respect Nadia's privacy. With some degree of disappointment, she drew herself to her feet after a.while. she just nodded and walked behind Nadia, looking down a little. "Ok Nadia," she whispered almost. Katie feared that Nadia couldnt trust her anymore, so as she walked towards the door, she felt a tear escape again.

Nadia's front of keeping calm and acting as if nothing was wrong earlier was certainly not put on display now, she was acting completely different compared to when Katie first arrived. Whatever this was, it was certainly killing Nadia inside, because as soon as her and Katie made up, she suddenly couldn't keep up with acting like everything was okay. The only difference this time was that this problem didn't involve Katie, she was happy that they were friends again, and it wasn't that she didn't trust her, but it was more as if she was in a state of shock. She couldn't bring herself to speak of the matter, because it would make everything all the more real.

Nadia didn't notice that she had upset Katie as she tried to hurry her out of the room. She walked ahead of her without looking back, too lost in her own world for now to pay attention to anything or anyone else. Deep down, Nadia knew she couldn't keep this secret for long, it wasn't a secret about herself, so she assumed someone was probably going to find out sooner or later and leak it to the press. She turned around and said softly, "I'll tell you when we're back at the bus, okay?"

As she stepped out of the room, Katie pulled the door closed behind her, not bothering to look up at Nadia at all. She felt slightly upset that they had gotten to a point where she thought they were very close, yet Nadia could not tell her the simplest thing about what was worrying her. After all, what else were friends for if you couldn't tell them what was worrying you. She shot a glance at the back of Nadia's head again as she walked slowly, her Converse-clad feet sinking ever so slightly into the carpet of the hotel hallway as she deliberately stayed a good few steps behind Nadia. As they neared reception, she wondered what could possibly be bothering Nadia. A few things passed through her mind, all of which she quickly dismissed, failing to see the point if Nadia was just going to try to ignore it anyway.

Katie wondered for a while if there was anything she could learn about herself that she wouldn't be able to tell Nadia. After a few minutes, she came to the conclusion that there wasn't, which only served to leave her feeling a little more hurt that Nadia felt there were things that couldn't be shared between them. After a couple of minutes though, Nadia turned and spoke to her, and Katie's heart melted yet again. She could see the pain in Nadia's eyes, and it made her feel so sad that she was basically powerless to help her. "Ok Nads..." she said, trying to raise a little smile

Katie stood outside in the baking heat of an early Chinese summer feeling decidedly nervous. She looked over to the side of her, looking into the eyes of Cassie Smith and letting her lips curl up in a smile that did little to dispell the idea that she was very much terrified of the reaction she was going to get here tonight. She looked up, her eyes casting over the shiny black surface of the tour bus she and Nadia Berry had been sharing for the last weeks, and then turned to see the car which she and Cassie had just been dropped off in speeding off into the distance. She had given her driver some time off so that they had peace to all get to know each other.

Finally, Katie looked down to her right hand side, seeing her hand being held by another dainty little hand. She saw their fingers intertwined and locked, and let a smile escape for real this time. She looked up again at the eyes of Cassie, the eyes which had left her so hopelessly entranced and squeezed her hand slightly tighter, feeling her companion reciprocate.

"Relax, Kat," said the hushed American tones of Cassie Smith. She tried to sound bold and unfazed by the whole occasion, but truthfully she was incredibly nervous. Katie was her first ever girlfriend.Sure, she had slept with other girls in the past, but she had never gotten into a relationship...not like this. She sighed slowly, brushing back her highlighted brown hair, feeling desperate to be good and gain Nadia's approval.

After a few moments of hushed contemplation, Katie decided she had to act. Taking a deep breath, she swept her long curls back out of her face and stepped forward. She was about to open the door, when she thought about the courtesy of all of this. She was bringing a guest to the bus...maybe she should knock; just to be polite. Clearing her throat and standing tall, Katie smiled at Cassie. "Be good Cass, I want Nads to like you." She knocked the door gently and quietly waited.

The tour bus had been a lot less hectic recently, Nadia was often there alone as Katie was spending more and more time with Cassie. Nadia didn't blame her, she was just happy that Katie was. Especially with all of the drama the two had experienced so early on in the tour, it was nice that things had gone back to normal and there was nothing else to worry about.

Nadia heard a light knock on the door of the tour bus, she peaked out of the blinds and saw Katie and Cassie standing there. Her eyes widened slightly, she knew Katie wanted her to meet Cassie properly, but she didn't know she meant this soon. Nadia's early thoughts weren't so great of Cassie, but the more and more she saw of her these past few weeks, the more she came to accept that Cassie wasn't so bad after all, and at least Katie seemed a lot more cheerful with her around.

She walked over to the door slowly and turned the handle to open it, "Oh, hey!" she said, pretending to act surprised as if she had absolutely no idea that Katie and Cassie were there. "I just cleaned the whole bus, so you caught me at a good time," she said with a slight giggle, before moving out of the doorway to let them in.

Katie and Cassie stood outside waiting for Nadia to answer the door. This was a big moment for Katie, because it meant a lot to her to know what Nadia would make of Cassie. She knew that they had fought earlier in the tour, but Katie was also aware that they had become a lot closer at the same time. It took a lot for her to let people in, but with Nadia, she felt safe, and she almost considered her to be more of a family member than just a friend. For that reason alone, it was important that Nadia like Cassie, and Katie was nervous. It had only been a few weeks since the two had mocked the pint-sized star for her formerly aggressive tendencies, and Katie prayed that Nadia could change her mind.

Cassie was equally, if not more, nervous than Katie. For her, impressing people had been a task she had long since abandoned, often preferring to lash out and anger them. She knew it was a defence mechanism, she had employed it on many occasions, but now...well now she had let Katie in, and she knew that it meant a whole lot to Katie that she make an impression on the people close to her. She sighed a little, nervously rubbing her hand on her bare thigh. She felt almost exposed here. The sun had led her to believe that the tiny denim shorts she was wearing were a good idea, but now it only contributed to the feeling that she was naked and alone. Turning, she smiled weakly at Katie, when the door swung open.

"Hey Nads," Katie said almost taking Cassie by surprise with her cool and calm demeanour. Katie leaned forward and hugged Nadia, before re-gripping Cassie's hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze, and stepping onto the bottom step of the bus. As she passed Nadia, Cassie gave out an apologetic little smile and quickly scurried up the stairs. She was unaware if she had ever said anything in her blog that would be hurtful to Nadia, so she just stood quietly next to Katie looking at the carpet.

Katie smiled at Nadia. "Wow...it is clean!" She chuckled. "Well you know that won't last with me around Nad. By tomorrow it's likely to be a mess again," she laughed, but she could feel the nerves bubbling up inside. What if the two hated each other? What if Nadia disapproved of Cassie? What if?

Nadia hugged Katie as she stepped up to the door, giving a small smile back to Cassie as she followed behind. Nadia was more than aware of Cassie's blogs, she couldn't remember if she was ever mentioned in them, but she was pretty sure she was. Either way, she was willing to let that be in the past, she too wasn't exactly so quiet and polite early in her career, so she could relate to Cassie in a way. With everything that had happened since those days, Nadia was certainly brought back down to earth, realising such an attitude was never going to get her anywhere.

"I'm a pretty good cleaner when I wanna be," she smiled, shutting the door behind them both as they made their way in. It was a good job that Nadia had spent a lot of the day cleaning, otherwise she would have been just slightly embarrassed having a dirty tour bus with Cassie there. Nadia liked to make a good impression, so she was glad things were going well so far.

An excitable Boots leapt up onto Cassie when she entered the bus, Nadia gasped and quickly picked her up, worried if Cassie wasn't much of a dog fan. "Sorry about that, she gets a bit excited with other people around," she let out a gentle laugh, before putting Boots back on her dog bed.

Nadia stepped into the kitchen and washed her hands, before turning back around to Katie and Cassie. "Does anyone want a tea? Coffee?"

Cassie stood there in the middle of the floor, feeling more awkward by the second. A niggling thought told her that GirlSpice had been mentioned at least once on her blog, and given that Nadia was the main focal point of that band, she was sure she must have said something. It was all she could do not to run away right now. Despite the tough exterior she threw put to everyone, she was actually a very timid person, and she used anger as a way to hide her fears, and to get her out of awkward conversations and difficult moments in her life. But this was time for change. She knew that. She knew she had to do it for Katie, the beautiful girl who had accepted her with open arms, and now stood by her holding her hand tightly. She breathed slowly.

Just then, Cassie's thoughts were interrupted by something against her leg. She looked down to see a small dog against her shin and froze a little. She didn't mind dogs, but she was always a little worried they would bite her, so she didn't want to put her hand out. Katie laughed, bending and stroking Boots, but never letting go of Cassie's hand. "Awwww what's wrong puppy?" she cooed at the dog. "Did you miss aunt Katie? She missed you too! Yes she did!" Katie laughed as Boots tail started to wag and she licked her hand. She turned back to Nadia. "Well you did a great job! Much more domesticated than me," she chuckled.

Katie smiled as Nadia made her way to the kitchen, urging Cassie to follow her with her vice-like grip. "I'll have a coffee please Nads! It's so warm today, I'm really thirsty!"Cassie was confused. Katie had seemed nervous outside, but now she was chirpy and happy and loud. Was she seeing here just how comfortable Katie was around her friend? It made her smile a little, and she was so deep in thought that she almost missed Katie asking if she wanted a drink. "Oh...ummm just a tea please," she said, her eyes darting between the two superstars.

Just then Katie had an idea. "OH!" she almost shouted. "Formal introductions time." She walked into the kitchen with Cassie and then grabbed Nadia's hand as well. "Cass, this is my best friend in the entire universe, and a girl who is like a sister to me, Nadia Berry." She smiled. "And Nads, this is my...well...I guess I can admit it out loud to you. this is my girlfriend, Cassie Smith." She smiled, looking from one to the other.

Nadia nodded her head, turning the kettle on as she then reached into a cupboard to get out two cups for the both of them. This whole situation seemed a little surreal to her, it was only a short while ago that what something Nadia had said leaked to the media, causing an argument between both her and Katie. Nadia wasn't completely sure at the time if something was going on between Katie and Cassie, but she was glad to know her instincts were right. It was funny how they had gone from that, to all three of them being in the same room together, nothing else to hide.

It was important to Nadia that her and Cassie got on, for Katie's sake at the least. She didn't want to cause any sort of tension, so she just painted on a smile and tried her best to make this work. Of course, it wasn't insanely difficult, Nadia already had said Cassie wasn't as bad as she thought when she first met her a few weeks ago.

She looked round to Cassie and smiled, "How many sugars do you take?" Her question sort of drifted off by the final word as Katie grabbed her hand, Nadia having a slight puzzled look on her face. "Gosh Katie, how awkward!" she laughed, she then tried to think of something that didn't sound too stupid, "I'm... happy for you both."

Katie smiled as she watched Nadia start to make the tea and then squeezed Cassie's hand again, as if to tell her that it was alright. She knew Cassie was nervous. Even if the stubborn little thing wouldn't admit it earlier, Katie had seen the change in her eyes when she said they were coming here, and she knew then that it meant as much to Cassie to get this right as it did to Katie. She smiled and leaned closer, whispering to Cassie gently. "Don't worry," she said. "You're doing great." In response, Cassie flashed her yet another nervous smile. Se had never tried this hard around anyone before. For a moment she wondered just what was happening to her. Katie's eyes had moved on though, and she sighed happily. Two weeks ago, she had been so hell bent on hiding this that she and Nadia had had a really big fight. She was just glad they were all here now. That everything was out in the open.

She smiled again as she saw Nadia look over, and tried not to make herself chuckle. She knew Nadia too well, and she was only too aware that her friend was trying her best to make a good impression too. She appreciated the effort that it was clear both girls were putting in, but she wanted them both to just relax and be themselves. After all, they were both pretty great in her eyes; even if she was a little biased. Cassie looked over at Nadia. Is this why she had been intimidated? Nadia seems lovely, yet Cassie knew that she really had to do her best to impress her. Pushing the hair from her eyes, she stands up tall, as if trying to impress a sergeant major.

Cassie had just start to answer, "One", when Katie grabbed them both for the introduction. Shocked at first, she then let out a little laugh as Katie hugged Nadia again. "Awww sorry Nads," Katie laughed, "I just wanted to do it right." She smiled. "Awwww are you really?"
