Name: 7. Little Heaven (Escape) Ft. Aaron Marks
Length: 4:02
Written By: Jade Clark, Aaron Marks, Mia Clark
Description
A pounding bass line with keyboards and synths start you off on the beginning of this song. Joining the mix is an electric guitar with the sound of some vocalizing in the background from Jade and Mia. Jade begins to sing the first half of the verse. Her voice is in a low soprano like voice with a synth being heard in the background. Her voice takes a higher tone when she sings the last line, making the music take a shift and being more upbeat. Mia sings the next part of the verse, while Jade sings the Ooh's for the first and third lines of the verse. The keyboards and bass line come back in as they sing the chorus together. The bass really comes in more when Jade sings the line No, No, No!, she ends the last No in a soprano voice and the guitar plays at the end while going to the second verse. Aaron then sings the next verse as the tempo returns back to normal.
Mia's Comments
“I loved this song, it’s like a music infusion with Synths, Bass, Keyboards and Electric Guitar. Then Jade came up with the idea to have a guy sing on this track with us which was great and we somehow managed to get Aaron Marks to feature on the song which is kinda insane considering how he’s pretty much became the best male musician out there right now. It was really great to work with him on this track and the lyrics fit pretty perfectly, my sister really did an amazing job with the lyrics on this, I think it’s the best song from us so far and I hope everyone else enjoys it as much as we do”.
Jade's Comments
"This song is a perfect blend of voices and everyone fits right in with each other. I think what's unique about this song is it's sound, really haven't heard anything out now like this so I'm glad we got to distinguish our own sound. Aaron was nice enough to want to do the song with us and I love him for it because he really did a great job. I don't think anyone else could have taken his place so it's a match made in heaven. (Laughs) Me and Aaron wrote the song and basically the theme is about sometimes using someone just to escape from your own problems, almost like leading the other person on. I'm just really grateful for this opportunity to work with someone like Aaron."
Lyrics
Jade = Dark Red
Mia = Purple
Aaron Marks = Red
Together = Black
Must have heard it half a dozen times
It's getting hard to tell the truths from lies
I promise not to make you scared
Always doing what you've never dared
(Ooh) Tell the people that I have come
Let them see me in the rising sun
(Ooh) Trying hard to make it last forever
Combination of our love together
So come on baby
Let's just close our eyes
Let the life that you've been living
Never pass you by
No, No, No!
Just take me to that perfect place
It can be our little heaven
Or maybe it's your escape
It can be our little heaven
Or maybe it's just your escape
I don’t want to have to make things right
But don’t want to regret tonight
Easy to say that I don’t take chances
Never left you alone at late night dances
(Ooh) Tell the people that I have come
Let them see me in the rising sun
(Ooh) Trying hard to make it last forever
Combination of our love together
So come on baby
Let's just close our eyes
Let the life that you've been living
Never pass you by
No, No, No!
Just take me to that perfect place
It can be our little heaven
Or maybe it's your escape
It can be our little heaven
Or maybe it's just your escape
Take a ride, Take a ride
Journey in hand
Take my life, Take my life
The story begins
Hold on Tight, Hold on Tight
Don't let me down
Make it Right, Make it Right
No worry found
No worry found
No worry found
So come on baby
Let's just close our eyes
Let the life that you've been living
Never pass you by
No, No, No!
Just take me to that perfect place
It can be our little heaven
Or maybe it's your escape
(It's your escape)
So come on baby
Let's just close our eyes (Close your eyes)
Let the life that you've been living
Never pass you by
No, No, No!
Just take me to that perfect place
(No, No, No!)
Just take me to that perfect place
(Whoooa, Whooa!)
Just take me to that perfect place
It can be our little heaven
Or maybe it's your escape
It can be our little heaven
Name: 8. Contradiction
Length: 3: 44
Written By: Jade Clark, Paul Epworth, Phil N.
Description
Starting off with a light piano and Jade's light vocals, Contradiction is a very mellow, relaxed song. With it's slow tempo and low mood, Jade manages to capture the listener's attention and keeps it throughout the song. This is one of Jade's strong points, writing soft, delicate, emotional songs that really touch the listener. She hits all the notes perfectly and captivates with her beautiful voice. Going into the chorus, the tempo changes a little, picking up more. She then does a solo in between each verse before going into the next one. The second singing of the chorus, speeds the tempo up more, the full band kicking in. A various mix of drums, guitars, and Jade's piano playing give the song a more rock feel. She ends the song with a long, high note, the music and tempo slowing down.
Jade's Comments
"I feel that this song is one of my favorites on the album. It was really easy for me to write as a songwriter and the simple message is reachable to anyone. It's about instead of going forward, a person moves backwards and they are contradicting themselves when they say they will go forward but only take the steps to go back. It's something that I'm guilty of doing because I've wanted to move on from things but didn't do what I needed to do to go forward."
Lyrics
Jade = Dark Red
Mia = Purple
Together = Black
Everyday I see a fantasy of you and me
I get frightened
Unknown destiny
I used to dream about the stars
Until they got too far, away
I'll never live the same again
No regrets and no fear
Now I am running back
To that same place as before
A contradiction to my claim
Now I am running back
To that same place as before again
A contradiction to my claim
Never again will I spend my time
Wanting you
Feels like a crime
That ship has sailed too far, away
I'll never live the same again
No regrets and no fear
Now I am running back
To that same place as before
A contradiction to my claim
Now I am running back
To that same place as before again
A contradiction to my claim
Do you remember all those lies from the past?
A newly growing one of how long we'd last
But now you know
Now I am running back
To that same place as before
A contradiction to my claim
Now I am running back
To that same place as before again
A contradiction to my claim

Description
An uptempo, electro-pop song is how the next track starts for Pretty Little Freaks. Jade's soft and delicate voice starts off singing the first verse. She sings in a low, soft voice which gets higher by the end of the verse, into the pre-chorus. Her voice becomes edgy and hard, leading into the chorus where her sister Mia joins in. The two voices complementing each other very well, making each voice stand out at their due times. Mia's edgy voice blends in with the music behind her. The pre-chorus for her sounds a bit different from when Jade sang it but nonetheless it sounds like a true rocker. The two join again for the chorus and the pre-chorus where Jade sets out to be different from Mia, getting the higher note and almost overshadowing Mia in the part. They then both again sing the chorus, as the song fades out with the music.
Jade's Comments
"I wrote this song about 4 months ago and it was a poem that I had wrote while I was in school and I never finished it which is why I turned it into a song. The song is basically talking about being unleashed in a sense. It's about that adrenaline rush you get whenever you were with someone who seemed bad or dangerous. It really ignites a spark in yourself which you feel like you want forever and you don't want the feeling to go away. It makes sense because, again, I've experienced this and there's just something mesmerizing about someone that you shouldn't be with or you can't have. I guess once you get hooked on something it's hard to go back to normal."

Lyrics
Jade = Dark Red
Mia = Purple
Together = Black
In your arms, In your arms
I will stay
Forever dreaming of
That day
Possible words that
Can be said
Possible moments running
Through my head
Light my fire tonight
Give me that passion I've always wanted
Let's remember every hug
Take a picture of every kiss
Cus I don't wanna forget a moment like this
Tell the world all about our love
When my heart starts healing
Baby I don't wanna lose that feeling
But at night, But at night
You'll soon not see
All the time I was right
Epiphany
Possible things I could say
Right to you
All the crazy assumptions
That we drew
Light my fire tonight
Give me that passion that I've always wanted
Let's remember every hug
Take a picture of every kiss
Cus I don't wanna forget a moment like this
Tell the world all about our love
When my heart starts healing
Baby I don't wanna lose that feeling
Light my fire tonight (And always)
Give me that passion that I've always wanted
Let's remember every hug
Take a picture of every kiss
Cus I don't wanna forget a moment like this
Tell the world all about our love
When my heart starts healing
Baby I don't wanna lose that feeling
Let's remember every hug
Take a picture of every kiss
Cus I don't wanna forget a moment like this
Tell the world all about our love
When my heart starts healing
Baby I don't wanna lose that feeling
Name: 10. Farewell
Length: 4:45
Written By: Jade Clark
Description
An uptempo, acoustic inspired song starts the track for Farewell. Written solely by Jade Clark, it's simple sound gives it a complex meaning. Starting off with what sounds like Jade humming, it goes straight into the singing where Jade's soft voice comes into play. She sings with a bit more meaning and feeling in this song which almost sounds like a blues inspiration in her voice. With the 3 guitar solos throughout the song, this gives us a chance to hear just how well Jade is with her own guitar skills. She jumps back into singing with a heavenly voice that sounds almost similar to a young Joss Stone's but with a little lesser soulfulness and more giddiness. Almost sounding like a happy, comforting song, Jade gives more insight on the meaning of the lyrics.
Jade's Comments
"Farewell is a storytelling song. I wrote it after reading some old war books and watching war movies for some reason. It really inspired me to write a story using those sources. It's about a soldier going off to war, the unraveling of it. It starts off with them being happy and loving each other and it's not until the lines We smell the raindrops about to hit, that it goes into the process of him having to leave and leave her behind. They try to not show their true feelings, their fear but it inevitably shows. The last line is referring to him leaving her and he dies but she never got to say farewell to him because she thought he would come back so she just didn't say anything at all."
Lyrics
Jade = Dark Red
Come hold my hand, take a ride with me
I'll show you wonders you've never seen
Under the ocean, around the way
Into the park where children play
Let me love you, till the sun goes down
Turn that sad face the other way 'round
Under the ocean, around the way
Into the park where children play
We smell the raindrops about to hit
No bad times will not exist
Under then ocean, around the way
Into the park where children play
Ahh, Ahh
Ahh, Ahh
The fire's burning in our eyes
We've learned that sadness can be disguised
Under the ocean, around the way
Into the park where children play
Your time has ended, time to say goodbye
You tell me when I'm lonely look at the sky
Those last few moments, for me, are now hell
You said goodbye but I never got to say
Farewell
Name: 11. Hold On Tight
Length: 4:55
Written By: Jade Clark
Description
Electric guitars, bass, keyboard, synth, drums, what else does this song not have? Starting the last track of the album, Pretty Little Freaks leaves us with a very uptempo, anthem like song for all girls. Starting with Jade's edgy, almost raspy-like voice, the song is clearly not the soft, delicate tone that we're used to her singing. This rock, electro song really raises the spirits of the often moody and depressive state the girls sing in. If you want a song that really spotlights Mia and Jade's vocals, Hold On Tight is the perfect one. Their mixture of pop and rock gives them the boost they need in proving themselves to the industry. The two colliding for the chorus really sends chills down ones spine with the amount of passion the two sing with. Mia also impresses with her verse, giving the dangerous edge she's always had. When the two separate for the bridge, the music is paused while hand claps are heard and a tambourine being played. A choir heard singing the Hold on tight while the other two bounce off each other singing back and forth which then leads back into the band playing again. The two keep singing with the choir and the song fades out.
Jade's Comments
"This is my second favorite song on the album. It's a really aggressive yet fun song. It's mostly about being in a bad relationship with someone and not having to put up with their crap and getting revenge because in the words of fellow rocker Lily, 'Revenge is sweeter than making up'. It's really a sort of anthem for not taking just anything a guy gives you when they feed you those sweet lines and say how they love you. It's really for girls and or women to stand up for themselves, something that I personally struggle with, but it's telling the guy to hold on tight because we're going to give them a run for their money and not them get off easy with what they do."
Lyrics
Jade = Dark Red
Mia = Purple
Together = Black
When you wake up, up I hope that you remember me
When you get up, up I hope you hear the words I speak
The fun's just begun and it's gonna be a bumpy ride
So you better
When you look up, up I hope that it's me you see
When you screw up, up I hope she'll be ready to compete
And the fun's just begun and it's gonna be a bumpy ride
So you better hold on tight
Hold on tight
Yeah it's gonna be a bumpy ride so you better
Hold on tight, Hold on tight
Don't you worry about a thing I'll make sure
That you're well looken after
Don't you worry about a thing I'll make sure
You get what you deserve
When we made love, love you said that I was the one
When we broke up, up you said that we were done
The fun's just begun and it's gonna be a bumpy ride
So you better
When we last touched, touched you said that it was better than
When we screwed up, up and you threw me in the lions den
And the fun's just begun and it's gonna be a bumpy ride
So you better hold on tight
Hold on tight
Yeah it's gonna be a bumpy ride so you better
Hold on tight, Hold on tight
Don't you worry about a thing I'll make sure
That you're well looken after
Don't you worry about a thing I'll make sure
You get what you deserve
Oh-h-h, Just say it isn't so-o-o-o
And now you're begging on your knees
(Crocodile tears and meaningless pleas)
Oh-h-h, Just wanted you to kno-o-ow
The fun's just begun and it's gonna be
(A bumpy ri-i-i-de)
So you better (Hold on tight)
Hold on tight
Yeah you better (Hold on tight)
Hold on tight
Hold on tight
So you better hold on tight
Hold on tight
Yeah it's gonna be a bumpy ride so you better
Hold on tight, Hold on tight
Don't you worry about a thing I'll make sure
That you're well looken after
Don't you worry about a thing I'll make sure
You get what you deserve
Hold on tight
Yeah it's gonna be a bumpy ride so you better
Hold on tight, Hold on tight
