Is the ever cunning Cassie Smith just using her "girlfriend" to get one last pop at the music industry which has burned her thrice?


A source for Culture Uncut said that Cassie has been using Katie Coyle to get one last shot at the industry

To anyone on the outside looking in, their relationship verges on the virtually perfect. Apparently wildly in love and completely into each other, two of music's most prominent teenage girls are constantly showing their sweet side, and telling the whole of Twitter just what they mean to each other. However, is it all just too damn good to be true? According to one source who has contacted Culture Uncut, it certainly is for one half of the couple, with our insider painting a pretty clear picture of a sham designed simply to prey upon the fame of her fragile and overly-trusting significant other.

According to our source, who asked to not be named in order to protect her identity, but described herself as a friend of Cassie Smith, the 18-year old columnist, blogger and former singer has gotten herself involved with Katie Coyle for no other reason than to grab just one last chance at the music industry and giving herself the fame that could help boost a new album or single. In the last two years, the popular outspoken celeb has had many attempts at being a legitimate singer, with Cosmic Beauty Contest, Big Light Show and a short lived solo career all dropping short of successful. It seems though that the starlet has decided that it is not yet time to give up on that dream, and is using her older female counterpart, a superstar with numerous number one singles and two multi-platinum albums, as a way to promote herself and catapult herself into the mainstream, using the sway of her sham relationship with a big star to get what she wants.

"Cassie is not a stupid girl," our source told us during an early morning phone call. "She knows that it is a hard nut to crack getting into the music industry legitimately, and she highlighted a weakness in the form of Katie Coyle. It was simple for her to get in there. All she had to do was flutter her eyelashes and Katie was like putty in her hands."

Cassie's friend continued, telling us of how the singer had no real feelings for her alleged girlfriend: "Cassie isn't even gay. I should know. I've known the girl for years. No, she doesn't like Katie. That's always been the case. Did no one think it was weird how she suddenly came to be her best friend and then girlfriend? Cassie still hates Katie, and that will never change. She just knows that all she has to do is sleep with her for a few months and she'll have enough fame to get rid of her and then build her career again."

It seems that the relationship then is purely and utterly fake, with Cassie merely interested in herself, not caring about Katie in the slightest. If our source is to be believed, then there really is no relationship at all...just one clever young girl manipulating someone and using herself as a decoy to help get her place in the music industry back.

Culture Uncut called Cassie Smith herself to ask about the rumours, and at first she refused to comment, before bursting out laughing and adding: "Haha, no way. I'm not going to fucking marry her!" All very dodgy, and damning evidence against the 18-year old rocker.

The news will come as a blow to Katie Coyle. The Take The Blame songstress must have thought that all her dreams had come true when Cassie came into her life just weeks after her high-profile break up from Julia Volkova, and she has often stated how much the younger girl means to her on Twitter and other websites. One can only hope that the 19-year old singer realises that she is better than this, and picks herself right back up again after this terrible terrible news.
