Written By: Isabel Merjos, Katriel 'Kato' Comyns Produced By: Giovanni Rose-Hilton, Sunny Monroe Length: 3:41 Genre: Electronic Pop, Dance-Pop Song Description:Seems like an odd pairing after the latest stints by these two young artists, but Izzy and Kato have done it anyway. The two decided to group up and collaborate for both Izzy's album and Kato's future album. The budding friendship between them has left many people to wonder if they are truly friends or more, and Izzy seeks to answer questions with this track. The slow but dance pop tune features the beautiful vocals of Izzy at her best and Kato, who later joins in at the chorus and next verse, with his newly deep and soft vocals to mix. The pounding drums and synthesizers more than assist with the dreamy feeling one also gets with this track. Take My Time is a mid-tempo, electronic and dance-pop power ballad that features some background vocals from Sunny Monroe, although uncredited, and production from super producer, Giovanni Rose-Hilton and Sunny Monroe. The two combined to make what seems like an amazing song that fits perfectly with the two as if they were made to sing the song together. The two sing about almost being frustrated by the rumors and paparazzi spreading lies about their relationship which they each say is strictly platonic. Gia describes the song as 'slow but monstrous with a lot of meaning to it.' Involving such a catchy beat and chorus also keeps the listener attracted to the perfectly matched vocalists who are belting out their words.Quote:"The song itself is a message to people. If me and Kato can work together, despite the nasty rumors, then we're obviously fine. We're friends, we're not dating or secretly dating at all. I asked him to do the song with me for the sole purpose of proving that we're not enemies or anything. The song is about how we've gotten frustrated of the rumors and trying to convince everyone that we're friends but we're not gonna stress over it anymore and instead we're gonna kind of let it sink in to people. We're not gonna let it bother us anymore and we're gonna just live our lives the way we have before. If you can't convince someone of something then there's no point in continuing it if their mind's already made up. So many people already think we're going to get back together or just hate each other but we're not and it's almost like an anthem for people who can't get through to other people and they just grow tired of all the crap they have to put up with.
Kato and I each wrote our own verses and came up with the chorus together. We didn't wanna seem like we were mad at anyone or frustrated but more understanding. The point of the song wasn't to be like 'Well screw you guys if you don't believe us!' and 'Blah Blah Blah' you know? We wanted to do it a calm manner which I think we managed to do. We already talked about working together and the song seemed like the perfect opportunity to do it. He was a little mad about the song I wrote for him but it's all good (Laughs) We each made our points and moved on. I think we write good music together and work well as a team so I wouldn't be surprised if there were more chances for us to work together, I have much love for Katriel."
Lyrics[Verse 1] They tried to break us hard, thought we'd fall apart, don't even know how we started And through the ups and downs, I see you standing now, with your heart guarded They won't understand, a woman and a man, nothing more nothing less But the rumors swirl, can't escape this world, it's so easy to get stressed I guess that I can't complain Because I knew what this life would obtain But I'm human too, I make mistakes And so do you
[Chorus] When the good times started to fall, through the bad times you'd never show Felt like I was fighting alone, and it doesn't bother me now I know there's obstacles in my way, I know there's mountains for me to climb But there's no point in rushing it, so starting now I will take my time (Not gonna stress anymore) I'll take my time (Living's become a chore) I'll take my time They don't know, they won't understand our life Won't rush it, I'll just take my time
[Verse 2] When is the ending now? It's like we took a vow, it's like we're not allowed You're always there for me, when I'm not on t.v., everyone's asking how? They won't understand, a woman and a man, nothing more nothing less But the rumors swirl, can't escape this world, it's so easy to get stressed I guess that I can't complain Because I knew what this life would obtain But I'm human too, I make mistakes And so do you
[Chorus] When the good times started to fall, through the bad times you'd never show Felt like I was fighting alone, and it doesn't bother me now I know there's obstacles in my way, I know there's mountains for me to climb But there's no point in rushing it, so starting now I will take my time (Not gonna stress anymore) I'll take my time (Living's become a chore) I'll take my time They don't know, they won't understand our life Won't rush it, I'll just take my time
Oh, Ohh, Ohhh Ohhhh-whoooaaaa
[Chorus] (But I'll take my time) When the good times started to fall, through the bad times you'd never show Felt like I was fighting alone, and it doesn't bother me now I know there's obstacles in my way, I know there's mountains for me to climb But there's no point in rushing it, so starting now I will take my time (Not gonna stress anymore) I'll take my time (Living's become a chore) I'll take my time They don't know, they won't understand our life Won't rush it, I'll just take my time
Sounds Like: Written By: Isabel Merjos Produced By: Giovanni Rose-Hilton Length: 3:34 Genre: Dance-Pop, R&B, Synthpop Song Description:With bubblegum synth grooves banging in the back, Izzy's sweet and sassy vocals, and the bouncing electro-pop beat, I Love You (And You Too) takes us back to the Izzy we all know and love. The catchy chorus and hook prepares us for her signature pop songs that are too catchy to ignore. As soon as you hear the beginning with Izzy's cute giggles, you are instantly drawn in and now there's no turning back. Izzy attempts to sing about how a girl's mind works when it comes to boys, how they are quick to fall in love and then just as quick to fall out of it and move on. Izzy somewhat has a playful attitude in this song as if she were shaking her head at the girls she was talking about. The upbeat song makes for a great party record or when you want your spirits cheered up, Izzy's bright and beautiful voice would put a smile on anyone. The song, being one of only a few, was written solely by Isabel and features what seem traces of R&B in it along with the Pop. Some critics say the song can be compared to Miley Cyrus's smash hit Party In the U.S.A with it's characteristics and addictive lyrics.Quote:"Absolutely one of the funnest and silliest songs on the album. I love this song dearly and it was just something I thought about while I was writing for the album. There's been tons of talk about it but I thought it would be fun to make a song about it. I'm not taking a jab at anyone but it's mostly directed for young girls. It's nothing new to hear a girl say she's in love with someone after like a few months of dating or even maybe a few weeks so I was talking about it with Gia and this idea popped into my head, to do a song about it. It's talking about how girls change their minds so quick and can be easily persuaded sometimes to fall in love with someone for the wrong reasons then move on to someone new the next week or month. We've all done it before, I know I have. It's really just a fun record and I hope no one takes it seriously or anything, it's just meant to make people laugh and feel silly.
I wrote it all on my own and I think I did alright. It's just like addictive, I couldn't stop singing it after I recorded it and I got annoyed at myself, it was stuck in my head for like 2 weeks. I'm annoyed at my whole album now, it's all stuck in my head! Hopefully people will love it that much and go buy it (Laughs) I definitely didn't mind going back to making fun songs because it's apart of who I am. I'm just a really silly person who loves to have fun and enjoy life. I'm not trying to tell people how to love or who to love but I do enjoy poking fun at love. It's the most controversial topic I can think of, love. There's a lot of love songs but not nearly enough songs making fun of love which essentially people do anyways. I just hope everyone enjoys the track as much as I did. Again, I re state this song is not about anyone or intended for anyone in particular."
Lyrics [Verse 1] Change, all they ever do is complain About the way they have things, sometimes it gets insane, sane, sane, Boys, we think you see us as toys Always just playing games, thinking you're all the same, same, same And then we'll meet a guy who can change our thoughts No matter how we're distraught And then we'll meet a guy who change our thoughts You'll think that he's the one for you Missing all the obvious clues That he's just not that into you He's got you crazy like this
[Chorus] Now we go crazy thinking that he likes us Few weeks later we have no more trust It's like I love you too, I love you too I love you, and you too (Ha!) Deep inside thinkin' bout what could be Convincing yourselves that it's not likely It's like I love you too, I love you too I love you, and you too (Ha!)
[Verse 2] Please, someone explain to me How we're caught in jealousy, feeling like it's turned to three, three, three Now she know this won't end well But all she can see is male, someone for her fairytale, tale, tale And then we'll meet a guy who can change our thoughts No matter how we're distraught And then we'll meet a guy who change our thoughts You'll think that he's the one for you Missing all the obvious clues That he's just not that into you He's got you crazy like this
[Chorus] Now we go crazy thinking that he likes us Few weeks later we have no more trust It's like I love you too, I love you too I love you, and you too (Ha!) Deep inside thinkin' bout what could be Convincing yourselves that it's not likely It's like I love you too, I love you too I love you, and you too (Ha!)
Oooh, oooh, what happened to your pride? Just push that guy aside, Oh yeah, Oh yeah Oooh, oooh, And now you're feeling hurt He's thrown you to the dirt, Oh yeah, Oh yeah
And then we'll meet a guy who can change our thoughts No matter how we're distraught And then we'll meet a guy who change our thoughts You'll think that he's the one for you (Ha!)
[Chorus] (Ohhhh) Now we go crazy thinking that he likes us Few weeks later we have no more trust It's like I love you too, I love you too I love you, and you too (Ha!) Deep inside thinkin' bout what could be Convincing yourselves that it's not likely It's like I love you too, I love you too I love you, and you too (I love you too) I love you!
