The Swedish born model/ turned singer, Suzie Stockholm rose to fame after releasing her debut single Love Feels Like Osama Bin Laden was met with a world wide reception full of controversy, and negative reviews, still the song catapulted Suzie to fame and ultametely launched her career. With her fathers millionaire pockets behind her, the lucky sex pot then released her debut album, Me Against The Industry that featured a paid off featurings as well as producers. Each producer had to live up to the ammount they were paid off and soon created a handful of production heavy pop songs that were good enough to make something of success. In everyone's eyes, it was the test to see whether or not if pop music just as bad as everyone makes of it, the big assumption in everyones mind was that Suzie would fail.

To everyone's surprise, Me Against The Industry sold 3,000,000 records and was named one one of the highest selling albums in 2011. With reviews looking better then expected. Suzie managed to actually earn a fan base and some celebrity friends. Her fans gave respect to her self centered, "I love my fans" nature. With it all starting out as a joke, Suzie began taking her career serious, and realized that she would never want to become a one hit wonder. New material was to soon come.

With her trashy reputation built behind her, with more catchy and sometimes terrible trashy songs behind her... Suzie then went on to team up with Girlspice singer 'Sophia' and still found herself in the tabloids even though the track was received critically mixed to well recived by the critics and by sales, becoming a top 5 hit. Since then took time out to get back into the studio, recording new material. That is when a new era was born

Rise Above is the sophomore album by the pop singer that will be released on August 5, 2012. The album takes a more synth pop fused with a dance vibe, that seems more appealing to the bland production of her then her previous release. The album has a span of 13 songs songs that flow through topics of Sex, Confidence, Love, Overcome, Glamour, the Riches and self appreciation. Suzie has many collaborations on the album. The collaborations are from a barrage of producers and features many popular figures who have put in some great efforts at making a good pop track for Suzie, opinions however, may vary. Suzie has song collaborations with Sophia (girlspice member), Aaron Marks, DJ Cloud, Sexy Star, Dominic Angel, Lashes and up and coming rapper, Parish. The title "Rise Above" was thought up by Suzie herself.. explaining that the album will make herself, and her fans rise above her haters and the negativity surrounding her.

The era for Rise Above began 4 months ago when Suzie released the artwork to her new single "Burn Away" after being involved with a controversy concerning her being one of the mistresses of Gia Rose-Hilton's husband, music mogul Scott R.H. "Burn Away", a track mixed with excellent production that ultimately elevated the track to #2 on the Digital Charts and #5 on the radio charts as well as the track managing to be certified platinum with sales of more then 1,300,000 downloads. Suzie performed the song on major promotional platforms including Total Annihilation, and The Chaos Awards, with the track becoming Suzie's most successful to date, even by passing Love Feels Like Osama Bin Laden.

Following the release of the single, Suzie was involved in another scandal after kissing multi platinum, selling recording artist, Katie Coyle on national television at the Chaos Awards as well as confirming that the album would be completely finished in mid July, as well as releasing new information about a new single to be released very soon.

The second single off of the album, named Steal Your Man was released and was met with a world wide reception following the vulgar lyrics of the song that spoke of stealing a persons loved one. The nasty lyrics got Suzie over, mixed with ace production by Paul Epworth and production duo No Evidence...the single surprisingly managed to peak at #5 on the Digital Charts and has so far sold 900,000 copies since it's release on Jun 17th, 2012. Aside from Are You Ready? which was suppose to be featured on the on hold duet album by Suzie and Sophia but instead is appearing on the album and named a promo single for Suzie's album(it is not known whether or not the track will feature on the duet album as well) Only Burn Away and Steal Your Man have been released so far from Rise Above as official singles, with Dance With The Queen featuring Dominic Brown slated as the albums next single.

Suzie's Word & Meaning
I mean.... look where I am. I'm releasing my second fucking album! When I walked into the studio some many months ago, I had one thing in mind, and that was my Suzie Nation. I knew that I had to go in there and put on my haters to shame because since the day i stepped into this industry people have trashed everything I've done. Every time people have doubted me I have prospered. I remember years ago...when I first debuted here and someone said I would have one lucky song and that would be the end. Really? Is that so? Well that's pretty funny because I'm at my second studio album full of amazing new songs. I came here and said I wasn't changing for anyone... and that's exactly what I'm still, not doing! Recording the album was alot of fun, especially when I hot the studio with all my amazing features. Freaking Dominic Brown is a great guy, he laid some amazing verses on the Dance With The Queen song, which is a personal favorite of mine. LASHES! Wow, some of them were really fun... well the only one I really remember is Natty. The others, well, were pretty annoying but they knew that they had better got in that studio and make a sexy fucking record, and we did that job. Get Out My Face, is a track everyone needs to listen on this album. Hehe... Umm... Parish, I know alot of people don't remember him but I needed a rapper who no one knew to feature on the album because the rappers I know now aren't around... lol and I didn't want to follow everyone and have the ultmitey Isaac Lovelocks to feature on my album. So we contacted Parish, who is still based in the UK and he came to my studio and rapped on my song "Swedish Hearts" which turned out to be a really good record. I also have some really cool collaborations with Sophia, Aaron marks, DJ Cloud, and Sexy Star (omg, love him and the track we recorded!)

People can say what they want but I'll say one thing, no ones going to break me down. I'm here done with my sophomore record and people are dreading my success, my following, my Suzie Nation... and guess what? To all those girls wishing I won't make it... then well...you can jump off a bridge..

I'm really excited to release this album because it addresses alot of topics that my writers and I have come up with. If girls want a really hot track to love their man to, it's on Rise Above. If girls are tired of having so many damn haters and you need that song to pick you up and ready to slay those tramps, It's on Rise Above. If you wanna hear a great album with great production numbers and what not, it's on Rise Above... and if you wan't an album that will show why I'm the head bitch in charge, it's on Rise Above!! It's a defining moment for my SuzieNation. We will prosper. We will...RISE ABOVE.

Suzie, full name Suzie Stockholm arose to stardom last year. Instead of working her way up the bar, this Swedish pop tart showed that the arts of T&A, money and strategic excellence could be key to success. Starting out her career as a joke after some what becoming a famous socialite in Sweden after her father, already a businessman at the time, won the biggest jackpot lottery in the history of Sweden in 2005 that measured up to SEK300 Million and since winning instead of sitting back and relaxing with the huge fortune, the money hungry father of Suzie's invested in the money and soon turned it into billions, as her father, has reached the top 5 in the Swedish Forbes since 2007.

With a socialite status in Sweden, the young wildcat Suzie deemed "Daddy's Little Girl", was seemingly bored with her modeling career in her country so what did she want to do next? Music. Virtually unknown in the United States, Europe and many other countries, Suzie started her own music campaign, the totally dominate the music industry. But where's the talent? In Suzie's case.... she didn't need any.

In 2011, after contacting legendary female icon, Stephanie Fierce and literally buying her onto a featured track (a rumored 3.5 MILLION DOLLARS) which also samples one of Fierce's song "Love Feels Like Grenades", Suzie released "Love Feels Like Osama Bin Laden ft. Stephanie Fierce. The song, became a historic track, that was either loved or hated. The track was trashed by almost every critic known, despite calling out Stephanie Fierce's brilliant rap verse, the song was also lit by not only the media but the general public as well with the Parent Council protesting the track and Suzie herself, calling her a serious threat to the youth. The debut single by Suzie, which was not able to be heard on the internet and the only way to listen was to buy it for 1.99 on itunes, quickly soared up the charts and hit #2 on the Digital Outlit market making it one of the highest charting debut's in history.

Suzie continued her reign of terror after the track, when she paid each (numbers reaching up to a million) to team up with Buzz&Hype and Matty to release another track "Born Ready". The track, which was heavily auto tuned, but much more lightly received by the critics then her debut, also reached within the top ten of the charts at #5, hit after hit for the Swedish tart.

She then released her debut album, Me Against The Industry that featured a cluster of paid featured singers and producers that were given the proposition to make this a successful album full of hits, and with Suzie's status already as one of the most hated and loved singers of our time, would she flop?

The answer is no, as by the end of 2011, Me Against The Industry sold 3,000,000 records and became one of the highest selling albums in 2011 as with these songs, some actually better then expected. Suzie managed to steal the hearts of fans who respected her straight forward bitchy attitude, and even some of her songs.. By this time however, Suzie was already taking her music career actually serious.

Months pass and still known as the trashy poptart, Suzie went onto release a single with legendary Girlspice singer 'Sophia' and still found herself in the tabloids even though the track was received critically mixed to well recived by the critics and by sales, becoming a top 5 hit. Since then however Suzie has been quite quiet, too quiet actually. Quiet because she has been hard at work on delivering another album, an album that she says will be "one of the best to come" as she's taking things much more seriously this time around, do you think Suzie can do it?

Burn Away is the first single off of Suzie's soon to be titled sophomore album.

We bet you were expecting a title much more raunchy, something that would put Suzie in a wrestling ring, where the media and Parent council would began to bash her like they always do. But not this time around. The title makes you think, what about burning away? The tracks starts off with a rigid aggressive pounding beat that moves through the beginning of the song for a few seconds that then makes a helicopter like, rising sound, following that Suzie's over confident, edgy vocals are heard slicked with some light auto-tune, not much needed as she's quick paced "singing" behind this brilliant production number; Judgers judge| Haters hate| In this fickle world| We make our own fate Suzie coos out as she continues to bring on her next lines. This time with the same strong and confident delivery of the lines before, this time a bit more sexier by the time she gets to the already "stuck in my head" worthy lines: Judgers judge| Haters hate| In this fickle world| We make our own fate as she's saying those lines strongly but however, the song sounds as if it's rising behind Suzie's vocals, we were right as the song breaks into a euphoric pop liftoff that sounds massively futuristic with lilting synths and digital processing that compliments Suzie's voice vibrantly and makes it sound ultimately...good for someone who is always ripped for bad vocals. Not saying she is doing anything vocally like Katie Coyle, but with top notch production and studio equipment, Suzie brings it behind this potent production. With the futuristic backing beat sailing across the track and Suzie nasally singing the very memorable chorus The haters wish I’d burn away|But I gotta to tell you that I’m here to stay|The haters wish I’d burn so fast|They thought this success wouldn’t last|I’ve proved you wrong|No matter what you’d say|There’s no chance|That I’ll ever burn away, she says the last line strongly as she sneers the words without singing so it stands out to the listener that there is no way she will burn away. Let's be honest, the song has a sweet chorus. The chorus then slowly slips away and returns to that aggressive backing beat that was heard at the beginning of the track, as Suzie returns to the next verse of the track. She has this light auto-tune to her voice that quite compliments the brash cockiness and whispery tone of voice, as it is quite obvious that Suzie has mastered her bleak vocals and seems to know what she's doing it it. The tracks unrelenting beat, breaks down for the next chorus once again, showing that futuristic, euphoric beat that might just become your guilty pleasure and grow on you as she sings the chorus once again however, once the chorus begins to fade out again, it doesn't exactly fade, the track sounds like it rising again with this unorthodoxed beat as Suzie says the lines once again There’s no chance| That I’ll ever burn away. Following that, the track breaks into a surprising dubstep break down, which may totally take you by surprise but may have you feeling its beat as Suzie blares out Burn, burn, burn away| Don’t you realize, I’m here to stay| Burn, burn, burn away| Burn, burn, burn away|Don’t you realize, I’m here to stay| as she sings it sexily with even more digital backup but there's no doubt the breakout sounds brilliant and takes you off god, after saying "stay" and the word being repeated massively with light synths, the dub breakdown fades away as the synths take over, bringing us to the chorus as the tempo is cracked a bit higher as Suzie sings her way throughout the last chorus that incorporates some euro rave synths that may have you bopping your head as the song rides out and comes to an halting end of this jam that has Suzie certifying herself as someone here to stay, despite what anyone has to say about her. Has Suzie impressed you? CHECK IT OUT FOR YOURSELF!

Judgers judge
Haters hate
In this fickle world
We make our own fate

The dirty looks and negativity
Have become too common
It’s no surprise to me

Judgers will judge
Haters will hate
In this fickle world
We make our own fate

The haters wish I’d burn away
But I gotta to tell you that I’m here to stay
The haters wish I’d burn so fast
They thought this success wouldn’t last
I’ve proved you wrong
No matter what you’d say
There’s no chance
That I’ll ever burn away

I ain’t going nowhere
No matter what gets said
No matter how much hate comes my way
I ain’t hanging from a thread

Just say what you want
Do what you please
I ain’t going nowhere
You won’t bring me to my knees

The haters wish I’d burn away
But I gotta to tell you that I’m here to stay
The haters wish I’d burn so fast
They thought this success wouldn’t last
I’ve proved you wrong
No matter what you’d say
There’s no chance
That I’ll ever burn away

Burn, burn, burn away
Don’t you realize, I’m here to stay
Burn, burn, burn away
Burn, burn, burn away
Don’t you realize, I’m here to stay

The haters wish I’d burn away
But I gotta to tell you that I’m here to stay
The haters wish I’d burn so fast
They thought this success wouldn’t last
I’ve proved you wrong
No matter what you’d say
There’s no chance
That I’ll ever burn away
(2x)

Sounds like

As 2012 rages on, and many acts have been making they're way up the ranks of music, and others maintaining their steady title of the leaders of music, some remain more interesting then others. Lets be honest, in our crazy world of music and entertainment we often come across interesting stars or personalities, shall I say. I could sit here and give a list of names and each will make a light bulb will escalate to the top of the brain and you can call out what's so interesting (or not) about the star. But I won't sit here and do such a thing, instead we will bring you to a very "interesting" figure to the plate. Suzie.

Instead of working her way up the bar, this Swedish pop tart showed that the arts of T&A, money and strategic excellence could be key to success and although this has been said before, are we wrong? Suzie continuously makes her way into the tabloids on countless, and countless times, each of them being very interesting and spontaneous since this Jezebel could be so unpredictable. She always finds her way at the tip of our tongue since she is so careless to what the media, parent council, and quite frankly, what we have to say.

Becoming a very historic member on twitter, seemingly blasting a whole barrage of celebrities including Nadia Berry, Serenity Scott, Stephanie Fierce, Andrea Mason, Gia Rose-Hilton, Ryan Ross Hernandez and the list goes on and on with each being a very interesting "blow for blow" on twitter, gaining Suzie's followers by a rapid amount over the past year . Not to mention the rumors of her sleeping with RRH, Scott R.H, and Jason Smith (all of which were deemed untrue) and yet and still Suzie still has her head on her shoulders.

Maybe it's her "SuzieNation" a group of thousands and thousands of fans(many from her home country of Sweden along with Europe and in the U.S who follow behind) who are responsible for all these hits, a double platinum album. Maybe that's what it is...that keeps her so confident. They interestingly support Suzie as she continues her reign of terror, which in our forecasts (OR HERS) is in no view to stop. Maybe its the money? The spoilt-ness? Her looks? What is it? We don't know, and over time it has made Suzie a very entertaining figure in the entire industry. Are you for Suzie, or against her?

Before I ramble on about the star (yes guys, she's accomplished) We are here to know about her new single.

Over a month ago as Suzie continued being Suzie, coming off of her big controversy concerning her being one of the mistresses of Gia Rose-Hilton's husband, music mogul Scott R.H, she released the first single of her soon to be titled sophomore effort, "Burn Away", a track mixed with excellent production that ultimately elevated the track to #2 on the Digital Charts.

Now, she comes back with a vengeance in the ultimate "Eff You" single to her nay Sayers with "Steal Your Man".

Automatically, you began to think about Suzie threatening different females about their loyalty when it came to a chance with Suzie, but we didn't think she would throw it so rapidly, in our faces. This is shown throughout the track that is produced mainly by Paul Epworth who was reportedly paid a disclosed amount of money to produce this track with the help of underground production duo "No Evidence".

This unapologetic second single starts off quickly with a very unorthodoxed, underground feel to it that would automatically get you moving your body, the "flickering" backing beat is aided with deep burping like instrumentals that pulsate across the few seconds of the song. Synths are then added to the already pounding beat that is then enhanced with crackling cymbals taps, that screams excellent production. Suzie then bursts out in a confident and cocky tone, with less autotune then the usual Suzie song, although it's still strongly present. Suzie murmurs "All these chicks be hatin on hatin on me, cause their not| But there men be droolin on droolin on me, cause I'm hot-|-And I Keep Wondering| How Would I Make You Feel |If I. Stole. Your. Man| I. Stole. Your. Man| I. Stole. Your. Man| I. Stole. Your. Man. When Suzie says "If I Stole Your Man" very clearly, behind the beat, out of no where the cymbals find's it way back to the pounding tune slapping rigorously that mixes very well with the pulsating backing beat which goes on for a few seconds before Suzie brings the repulsiveness back as she snares I Got Hits|I Got Ass|I Got Money|Fuck CLASS| And if your man, is free| I Might Pick.Him.Up.For.Me. The lyrical content, very limited as the cymbals roars one more time this time sounding louder than before with the heavy dance beat soaring bigger once more this time adding in sirens. When it slows down, Suzie brings back the beginning lines of: All these chicks be hatin on hatin on me, cause their not| But there men be droolin on droolin on me, cause I'm hot-|-And I Keep Wondering| How Would I Make You Feel |If I. Stole. Your. Man| I. Stole. Your. Man| I. Stole. Your. Man| I. Stole. Your. Man followed by the cymbals one more time, she then goes on to snare out |S|U|Z|I|E|N|A|T|I|O|N|. Each letter one by one, when it slows down once more. After a chant of her "Suzie Nation" she continues with carelessly saying |Scream It Loud| Cause We're The Best| ...|Say It Proud|F*Ck the rest| behind mixing beats and rising beats. The quite offensive track doesn't stop there however. After repeating the opening lines and second verse over, with the instruments still staying in place, Suzie yells out And If you Want Me To| You just gotta the clue...|I'll Steal Your Man|Yeah I'll Steal Your Man|Yeah I'll Steal Your Man|Yeah I'll Steal Your Man|Yeah I'll Steal Your Man| numerous times with mixing beats, and cymbals, not to mention the pulsating backing beat blaring behind her voice with the very enjoyable, yet very different production. The extremely promiscuous track about being a homewrecker rails on with the Suzie repeating the lines with the arising electroclash atmosphere that might just have a listener bobbing their head to the very catchy tune and unpredictability of the lyrics. Or holding their face scrunched up very offended. The track rides out when Suzie finishes repeating "Steal Your Man" as the mixing beats rides out the entire track with one more set cymbal poundings heard one more time as the track finally comes to the end.

At this point...I have so much to say, but I won't.... I have said enough. What do you think about the track however? That shockingly finds itself in stores this Sunday. Leave A Comment Below!|The END!

Jason: I'm sorry, but uhhh... this is, uhhh... pretty atrocious, really. Just... vapid, bland, sexualised pop music. Calling it music's a bit of a stretch, really. Yeah. Sorry.

SUZIE TALKS "RISE ABOVE"

UserPostedImage

How was the initial recording process of "Rise Above"
It was fun! I really had a lot of fun recording this album because I've had a countless amount of faith in myself to deliver a good album to my fans and to my haters. So yeah, it was a lot of fun for the most part. Staying up for hours and recording and stuff, its really overwhelming but I know it pays off. Aside from things being fun, its was so freaking tiring at times...all those hours and of recording drains you! But as long as you know its for a good purpose, and obviously mine was.. Then you just keep pushing forward.. That's if your not lazy and don't want to keep pushing your album date back..

Some critics may say you were feeling a lot of pressure while recording the album, do you agree?
Not at all! Who cares about critics anyway? I don't *laughs*. I mean, I haven't lost a bit of the confidence that I had on the last album ... Then the confidence on this album. I probably believe in myself more then the last album. So I don't agree at all. I only had an urge to live up to the expectations of the SuzieNation, and I know they will all love it so much. I love them as much as they love me.. So pressure while recording the album? No.

What mind set did you have when you first start recording, to the mind set that you have now that you've finished the album, has it changed?
The mind set to win and show people why I'm still here. You know, a lot of people try and trash me and break me down... Like to pick out the worse in me and what not so when I started recording the album I just had all this confidence and it hasn't gone anywhere. I've believed in myself since day one.. And I still have faith in everything I do.

What made you choose "Burn Away" as the first single? It proved to be a good decision, it did sell over a million downloads and reached the top 5 on the radio charts.
Because its a hot track! Its certainly like, one of my main favorites from Rise Above. My vocals are on point and my delivery.. amazing. The production was another plus ..but I really loved was the message in the track... People wish I'd burn away but I'm not going anywhere.. Its so empowering! And when my team and daddy listened to the possible singles they told me they thought it was best for the first single, and I agreed... And look *smiles*

Steal Your Man, was the next release, did it hurt you that it was over exposed to media scrutiny due to its artwork and lyrics? Do you think that contributed to the sales and popularity of the song?
No! The media doesn't hurt me and that's something that people fail to understand! I'm from Sweden, we have the strongest hearts and thick skin! So the media? *flicks hand and laughs*. I think the artwork fit the single very well...its hot..but in terms of sales, neh. I think just because Steal Your Man is such a kickass track is the reason why it became so popular! People still think I'm a newbie or something? *laughs*

Is this album any different from "Me Against the Industry?
Its much better. The first album was okay..I liked it. But this is just two times better.... Me Against The Industry was just all over the place and didn't really have direction. This time we took things slow *winks and laughs*. But seriously, everything is just better on this album! I'm proud of it.

How was it working with the different features on Rise Above?
Everyone was really amazing to work with. They all were really excited to get in the studio and each feature liked their part on the song and the song itself. I really liked working with Parish, he's hilarious and a really good rapper and his piece on Swedish Hearts was really good, I loved it. Dominic Brown was another one, Dance With the Queen, aceeee. He knows what he's doing in that studio and we had a lot of chemistry in the studio. Sexy Star was a lot of fun and he's a sexy bitch! He's sooo fierce and we made a fierce track, like are you surprised? Lashes was fun because Natty D was there and totallly did her thing, those other bitches had to follow orders but their feature on Get Out My Face was amazing, so I thank them for that. And Aaron, he was the first person I recorded with for the album.. He's so young and cute ! *laughs* he'd be more fun if he wasn't so intimidated by me for some reason!

Do you have any album jitters?
Nope. I don't feel the need to be nervous. I plan on doing this for a while and I don't need to be nervous..no matter what happens, ill still be here. People keep asking me if I'm nervous and I'm freaking excited! Its my second album, I'm happy to have come this far..through everything. I feel so accomplished .. Its great.

Out of all the people you have collaborated with for "Rise Above" is was your favorite to work with?
Hmmmmm... I'd say Dominic Brown just because he's so damn talented and we made such a great track ... It's honestly probably one of the best on Rise Above. "Dance With The Queen" *smiles*. It will be premiering this week and you'll know why I love it so much *winks*

Some people have already been slamming the album, including the artwork and song titles. How does that make you feel? Do you have anything to say to them?
Eat me? *Laughs*. People can slam me all they want, it won't take away any of the confidence or the love that I have for myself or the album. Artwork? The artwork is beautiful, song titles? Let's get real. All people want to do is slam people, oh well, its life...

Do you have any personal favorites on the album?
I really couldn't say because I like the album as a whole .. Its up to my fans what they like but my personal favorite would have to be "Burn Away" for the reasons I said earlier. I love that song.

You performed on quite a few major platforms during this era including Total Annihilation and Chaos records, do you plan on performing at any other main stages?
Of course. I love to perform so if an opportunity comes my way I will most likely accept it. Total Annihilation was really fun to perform at and so was it to perform at the Chaos Awards.. I get this crazy adrenaline through my body while I'm on stage, I just perform my ass off, that adrenaline rush is a good feeling and is probably why I love performing so much ...that reason and just because I know my fans are watching and of course, the haters. *laughs*

Do you plan on headlining your first tour after the album
I'm in talks to do a few things. I won't confirm now or will I deny. My daddy thinks its time to tour though, but when I say it happens.. It'll happen *laughs*. We'll see how it goes. Maybe, maybe not.

Any last words?
To go out in stores and pick up Rise Above.. And to my fans, never let anyone break you down, if you know your sexy..or hot.. Even if your not.. Embrace it and don't let any of these people get you down. Remember its Suzie Nation or die *laughs*. Rise Above, August 5th.

ARE YOU READY? (with Sophia)

UserPostedImage
Produced By: No Evidence, William Grach
Length: 3:30
Genre: Dance-Pop

In the start of this Suzie infused expedition, we are met with a duet named "Are You Ready?" with GIRLSPICE member Sophia, which was released as a promotional single for the duo, and now finds it way as the first track on Suzie's "Rise Above". The song starts off with a weird pounding that hits onto the empty track that has no backing beat yet and then another pounding that sounds harder then the one before appears. After the beats go "back and forth" a slick backing beat is aided with these throbbing rythm giving us a retro mashup. Out of no where Suzie blasts out onto the tracks with her whispery sex pot, yet vocally aided vocals that is then aided with unorthodox computer generated riffs sizzling throughout the track as she sings quick and fast paced with the already relentless beat that would, despite the the amount of pitch correction Suzie is adorning, may already be bobbing your head as the controversial mistress promiscuously summons a man to the dance floor, and openly asserts her dominance as a party queen singing "And I just want another sip on this drink to forget about it all, Running head over heels to the dance floor, I'll dance until I fall. Up at the bar, I'll be drinking until there's a brawl. And I won't be leaving until I have to crawl". And if you already thought the song was quite catchy the dance heavy chorus brings us to new heights as the the already swift upbeat pulsating picks two notches up in speed and becomes a dance floor crazed, and unrelenting harmony with each pulsating beat we already hear being layered to create a mixture of bizarre yet enjoyable ringing with Suzie beginning off the chorus about living nocturnally followed by the first appearance of Sophia, who's soft, and cute tone as they make it obvious that they want things to get hot and steamy as they go back and forth yelling out "Are you ready? Are you ready? R-r-ready?" Over the throbbing beats and ringing. The overwhelming chorus then slows down giving us a sizzling beat that brings the chorus back down to where it started it, as it picks up its beat once more with the back and forth beats of the beginning and backing beat we are now familiar with. That's when the simpleton Sophia looms out with her perky voice as she unleashes some slick lyrical yet maneating content, she murmurs "And I can't help it, I'm such an addict, But the nightlife has everything I need, It's just like something scientific, My hunger for the bass is past skin deep. Trying to be optimistic, I want you to give me a treat, But all the talk, is cheap and most guys in here are creeps, So are you ready to come and step it up to me?" brilliantly daring any man to step up to her. Listening to the track you may wonder, who the hell wrote this track, as Sophia probably does not know what many of the words mean but she pulls them off well with her girly yet enjoyable voice. Following the words, Suzie comes out of no where bringing out her libretto where she apologetically lets loose with her confident oversexed lyrics I'm a cold blooded bitch, So cold I make the ice in my drink freeze, Think I need a hot b-b-body, To heat me up, come and press it up on me, Let's go and, flip the switch, Always get what I want, don't have to say please, If you think you're red, hot enough for me, Then give it up, baby, let's just live it up! And out of no where the songs quickly slips back into the majestic chorus where both divas team up and go back and forth asking the listener, or the man on the dance floor if they are ready behind the incredibly catchy, pulsating and ringing chorus.

Throughout the rest of the track the duo continue to bring out their inner sexy with flirtatious vocals by Sophia, and vocally aided and super sexy lyrics by Suzie as well. The bridge of the song may be considered a highlight with its quick and echo-y drum breakdown that also features the ringing from the chorus and generated riffs from the beginning of the song followed by massive tenor drums booming throughout the bridge, followed by even more generated riffs. And then everything stops. A second passes by and the chorus re-emerges for the last time giving us thee unrelenting harmony with each pulsating beat being layered to create a mixture of bizarre yet enjoyable ringing which we heard from the beginning until the song comes to a haunting stop where it echoes out.

LYRICS PREVIEW
Heads back, stand up, I just want another glance of you
As our bodies touch, I just want another dance with you
And I just want another sip on this drink to forget about it all
Running head over heels to the dance floor, I'll dance until I fall
Up at the bar, I'll be drinking until there's a brawl
And I won't be leaving until I have to crawl

Chorus
As the rest of the world dreams, I'm living nocturnally
Before the end of this song, I'm gonna get it on
Feels like I could live like this for eternity
Tonight's the night, I'm taking over universally
Make you scream 911, emergency
Put your hands up, surrender to me
Are you ready? Are you ready? R-r-ready?
To come and step it up to me
Are you ready? Are you ready? R-r-ready?
Yeah, come and give it up to me

Quote:
Seriously....like one of my favorites on the album. Not because it features my babes Sophia, but because it's a freaking sick track. Sophia and I met up with No Evidence to get the main format of the track together. We wanted something that was strictly for the radio and the clubs and something that could make a women wanna demolish their man on the dance floor with... but aside from that we wanted a confident track. So when they got the ideas we had in mind for the song they whipped together some really good production for the track. Then we headed over to William Grach from the Wolverines in London and began recording the track. Sophia and I sound amazing and the outcome of the track was really beyond what I imagined....let me stop lying. I knew it would be an amazing track because we're both on it.. but it went beyond my expectations because it's so good. So when the tracklisting for Rise Above was being done, it's the perfect intro to bring you guys into such a great album. Enjoy it, love it, dance to it.

BURN AWAY
UserPostedImage
Produced By: Max Martin/William Grach/Dr Duke
Length: 3:15
Genre: Dance Pop
Chart Position: #2 - Digital Charts| #4 - Radio Charts

Following the high paced energy of "Burn Away" the next track doesn't give a break as the first single off of the album "Burn Away" comes burning its way onto the album. Right away, the title makes you think, what about burning away? The song starts off with a rigid aggressive pounding beat that moves through the beginning of the song for a few seconds that then makes a helicopter like, rising sound, following that Suzie's over confident, edgy vocals are heard slicked with some light auto-tune, not much needed as she's quick paced "singing" behind this brilliant production number; Judgers judge| Haters hate| In this fickle world| We make our own fate Suzie coos out as she continues to bring on her next lines.

LYRICS PREVIEW
Judgers will judge
Haters will hate
In this fickle world
We make our own fate

The haters wish I’d burn away
But I gotta to tell you that I’m here to stay
The haters wish I’d burn so fast
They thought this success wouldn’t last
I’ve proved you wrong
No matter what you’d say
There’s no chance
That I’ll ever burn away

I ain’t going nowhere
No matter what gets said
No matter how much hate comes my way
I ain’t hanging from a thread

Quote:
I've said it a million times. This is probably my favorite track on Rise Above! My vocals are on point and my delivery.. amazing. The production was another plus ..but I really loved was the message in the track... People wish I'd burn away but I'm not going anywhere.. Its so empowering! And when my team and daddy listened to the possible singles they told me they thought it was best for the first single, and I agreed. Girls who constantly get trashed because their reputation might not be the best...those girls gotta keep their head up and keep moving forward and doing what you gotta do. You know why? Because there's nothing better for a hater to see is for the person their hating on to fail or to "burn away". Keep your head up and and make it be known that no matter how much they may hate you, your not going no where. You won't give them that satisfaction. You keep your head high like I said and keep moving forward. I always say this is my favorite because I think I can relate to it the most. They wish I'd burn away but I'm not going anywhere.

POISON
UserPostedImage

Produced By: Diplo
Length: 3:09
Genre: R&B, Synth Pop

Following the fast paced nature of both the opening and second tracks of "Rise Above" the album takes a turn. It takes a step back from the confident, empowering tracks aside from the dirtier side of "Are You Ready?" and just turns to plain old, historic "dirty pop" Suzie. When you think of poison you think of something that his harmful to the body, something that could possibly kill a human and you might get that message when you hear this track. The track starts off with a loud powerful bass that is pounding, that slowly brings the track to a start. Following this, futuristic synths and instrumentals are heard as they coo through the beginning of this euphoric, R&B fused track gets ready to start. You may know when the track is about to start because a voice is heard saying |P-P-P-POISON, P-P-P-POISON. Right after that voice is heard, Suzie's whispery sex pot vocals are heard. Although with the ting of autotune, Suzie's sexy cat nasally vocals fit with the nature of the song as she starts singing about being Poison and draining a male figure that she is engaging with. As the mid tempo tune continues on Suzie murmurs Your under my spell|(Since you touched me)|Your losing yourself|(You can't control me)|You feeling the ecstasy? Getting across the fact that the man has touched her and has since touched her, and that she is poison. He automatically falls into a trance like state because this "poison" is allegedly, good. Through the pounding beat, Suzie continues on...questioning the power of her poison saying Give it a few seconds, and you'll see
And no don't call for a remedy| You been wanting this, now your gonna feel me. Suzie becomes the controller of this partner as she makes it known that he can't be saved now. He's completely under her control. The track stays at the midtempo nature as Suzie sexily sings the next lines shining in the sexual department of vocals, clearly getting across the nature of the song. You can't even function |Your so hypnotized|My poison, got you nice and tied| You might be hypnotized|But baby I'm so energized, want me to slow down? Suzie whispers out behind the production as the track builds up and bursts into a chorus that has the pounding backing beat pick up a few notches and the futuristic sings soaring louder as Suzie teases, demolishes and fulfills her victims deepest dreams. Just sit back relax, let this poison flow | Draining your body, loving your body| I doubt there will be another round |The feeling that it brings, it overtakes us (Poison)| It fulfills your deepest dreams (Poison). The sexy nature of the track continues on, even through the bridge that keeps the mid tempo pace of the song only adding more synths before slamming onto the chorus once more until the end of the song.

LYRICS PREVIEW

Your under my spell
(Since you touched me)
Your losing yourself
(You can't control me)
You feeling the ecstasy?
Give it a few seconds, and you'll see
And no don't call for a remedy
You been wanting this, now your gonna feel me

You can't even function
Your so hypnotized
My poison, got you nice and tied
You might be hypnotized
But baby I'm so energized, want me to slow down?

Just sit back relax, let this poison flow
Draining your body, loving your body
I doubt there will be another round
The feeling that it brings, it overtakes us (Poison)
It fulfills your deepest dreams (Poison)

Quote:
Woooo! This track! I love "Poison" because its so hot. I mean, sometimes a girl feels a certain type of way... she wants to completely take over her man and make him know who the real boss in the relationship is. And there's no better way then showing him inside of the bedroom. You completely victimize him and show him exactly who's boss and Poison does the justice. I didn't want any production that was too over bearing so I just wanted Diplo to give me a nice and infectious R&B jam that is catchy, mid-tempoed and sexy. I had alot of fun recording this too because you really get in tuned with your inner fantasies when you record songs like this so recording "Poison" was really fun and intriguing for me. I'm pretty sure a girl would like to put this on while she's victimizing her boyfriend, this does the work for you. You don't gotta do anything!

TILL DEATH DO US PART ft. AARON MARKS
UserPostedImage
Produced By: Kenny Musikk
Length: 3:09
Genre: Dance Pop, Electro Pop

Following a track as sexy as "Posion" it is pretty interested to see where exactly the album takes us now. Will it be another sexy track pulled out from historic Suzie, or something more sensitive, or something empowering. It's an interesting wait. However, from the start off of the next track "Till Death Do Us Part" we already know which route the album takes and it's a much more soft, less sinister and quite intriguing pair between Suzie and Aaron Marks. Aaron Marks in a teen musician who's known for his debut album that became one of the most successful selling albums of 2011 as well as being able to hold his own when rapping in the Grime circuit so Suzie and Aaron doing a collaboration? Seems odd. The track Till Death Do Us Part is, exactly the title gives off. It's a typical love song that does however include some stellar, happy-go lucky, lyrics and production that will get a listener moving. From the start of the song where Suzie's high pitched vocals are hears with not much of a backing beat aside from a slow and swaying beat along with piano notes, as she sings Boy you know if I die| You would go for the ride| Tell me you wanna go, Oh YEaEaH| Tell me you wana go, Oh YEaEaH when she is finished the song quickly builds and steps up into a pounding electropop beat that has Aaron Marks rapping across the burping, sizzling production behind him. He quick paced raps about falling for a girl and even exchanges vows in his verse. Oh yeah that's right|You got my mind right| I don't know how you did it| When I fell this time, I fell harder then ever (I Admit it)|The fact that your still here, you still care |Just makes me have so much love, everywhere|Please tell me if we're here to stay Aaron raps behind the track continues on to rap out: For richer, For poorer|In sickness and in health |To love and to cherish |Even through marriage| Till death do us part exchanging vows for marriage and saying "Part" a hand full of times behind a now relentless behind that is behind him as he says "Part". From there, Suzie takes over once more with her vocals that the great production makes up for that has now slowed back down to the beginning backing beat. She sings her beginning lines with the rising back beat that is now rising and when she's finished Aaron, brings his voice back onto the track "T-T-Till Death Do Us Part" and from there, the song unleashes into an electronic break down chorus that soars loudly across the track. It sizzles for seconds to come until the song returns back to verse two that is occupied by Aaron once again. Suzie then returns for the hook again, followed by the bridge where she explains her love for the guy she's talking to and the track returns to the beginning beat where Suzie takes over with her pitched vocals followed by Aaron saying the final lines T-T-Till Death Do Us Part, where the song rushes into the breakdown. Bigger and louder then before as the song rides out to the ending. It's an interesting pairing that may have people oddly imagining the teenage Aaron, dating Suzie by the end of the song.

LYRICS PREVIEW
Boy you know if I die
You would go for the ride
Tell me you wanna go, Oh YEaEaH
Tell me you wana go, Oh YEaEaH

Oh yeah that's right
You got my mind right
I don't know how you did it
When I fell this time, I fell harder then ever (I Admit it)
The fact that your still here, you still care
Just makes me have so much love, everywhere
Please tell me if we're here to stay

For richer, For poorer
In sickness and in health
To love and to cherish
Even through marriage
Till death do us part
Part,
Part,
Part,
Part,

You would go for the ride
Tell me you wanna go, Oh YEaEaH
Tell me you wana go, Oh YEaEaH

I had too much fun recording this song here. I mean, it's really interesting when you take time out to try a different type of song out. I really haven't actually recorded a love song until this one here so this song will always be pretty special to me because it's trying something new. It's about a girl who really falls in love with a guy, the guy falls in love with her and they just want to spend time together all the time and eventually want to get married and die together. I know it's a mature topic but trust me, it can't be that mature when people as young as 14 are saying they want to get married to a girl that they love. So it's not all that mature. Aaron was really fun to record with, aside from him being intimidated by me for some reason. Maybe the nature of the song made him think that I was trying to get with him, but it was never like that. We needed a good male vocalist and his voice really worked for it. But when he got comfortable around me, I think me made quite the song together and it's a song that I can imagine a couple listening to that are completely dosed in love. I really enjoyed recording this song and then listening to it at the end, it's cute!

COTTON CANDY LIPS
UserPostedImage
Produced By: The Wolverines
Length: 3:20
Genre: Dance Pop, Electro Pop

The next track which marks the 5th track in the sophomore album of pop singer Suzie. The track is called "Cotton Candy Lips" when you think of cotton candy, you think of the candy, you think of sweetness, and everything nice and sweet. But this track wouldn't exactly stick to the though of Cotton Candy, to be quite frank. The track which was produced by American production crew the Wolverines, starts off with relentless synths that bounce repeatedly off of the rising beat that doesn't exactly find it's place on the track for the first few seconds. As these synths are starting off the track, so is moaning like vocals of Suzie. She does these quick sounding moans that go back and forth quickly with the loud synths. The song then breaks into the actual backing beat, a catchy clapping backing beat mixed in with the synths, they together as Suzie starts singing, voice vocally aided with her massive cockiness and sex cat like vocals that roar over the backing beat. Suzie begins singing about a males lips, how attractive and "tasty" they are. And how much she misses she had the guy with the Cotton Candy Lips, clearly getting across the point that she just want his "Cotton Candy" lips, and bad. Behind the words that she is murmuring out, are those same synths and clapping beats. However out of no where, the song breaks into a quick paced electropop mixture, that has a bigger and louder backing instrumental. It tunes up the tracks speed and Suzie's starts belting out the chorus. She has a high pitched vocal structure as she yells out her addiction to this mans lips and she'd do anything to relive the moment she "kissed" those sweet and loveable cotton candy lips. The simple, but bitter sweet topic mixes in well with the "girly" production that sounds quite sweet. Within the chorus, Suzie's moans escalate throughout the song, going back and forth with the sins, identical to the start of the song off. This reminds us that this song may sound like it could be quite the PG song, but after listening you realize it's intention are totally on the other page. Following the chorus, the songs lips back down to it's next chorus, meaning the big and loud production of the chorus, takes a small backseat to the more calming synths and backing beat of the verse. Although it's calmed down, the beats a still very quick and sit comfortably within the dance pop and electropop jams that we hear today. When the moans stop, Suzie then sings the next verse. In this verse, she speaks about the relationship with the man who has the cotton candy lips. She sings as if they had the perfect relationship until he up because "I was acting scandalous" as the song lyrics say when listening to it, implying that the female who wants the males cotton candy lips, cheated on him and she at the end of the day she wants him back. After that is sung, the song once again breaks into the chorus consisting of the quick paced electropop mixture, that has a bigger and louder backing instrumental then the verses beat. Suzie once again, yells out her addiction to the cotton candy lips that she loved so much to kiss, that she lost in the end. Following the catchy chorus, the song breaks into the bridge that slows everything down with just loud synths. Suzie's cries out for the man to come back to her and kiss her yearning lips. A quick bridge quickly slips out onto the final chorus of the song that could have you bopping your head to. The signature pounding beats mixed with synth gives us a final run in the track as it speeds up harder then it did in the song, for the double chorus as Suzie, yells out for the cotton candy lips of the male who up and left who, the lips she never got again as the song comes to an end.

Quote:
This song is just too cute! I love it! It's so bittersweet. You ever had a guy or girl that you went out with that just had the best lips ever? Lips that you could marry if you could, but the relationship didn't work out...so you lose the person you had, and those lips! I had fun recording this song because it was funny singing a song strictly about wanting someones lips. But at the same time, why not? It gives something else to talk about rather then the typical love story in a song. Why not about someone's lips...it's happened to all of us. So I know a lot of people are going to listen to this song and think about that person they once had with those amazing lips that they can't even any more, and for the people who never had someone to call Cotton Candy Lips, they could just fantisize while listening to the song. Why not right?!

SWEDISH HEARTS FT. PARISH
UserPostedImage
Produced By: Diplo
Length: 2:58
Genre: R&B, Electro-Hop

The next track off of Rise Above is "Swedish Hearts". Following the fast tempo in "Cotton Candy Lips" it's very interesting to see what the album has in store for us next. In this track, Suzie gives us a down and dirty expedition of exactly what a Swedish Heart is. Are you thinking of Suzie's actual heart? Will this be a Swedish empowerment song? Will it be a love song? The track starts off with quite the interesting beginning. Very powerful and rising hoover synths mixed in with engine sounds makes it sounds as if two race cards are setting off to race. The interesting beat continues for a few seconds as a school bell is heard, as the bell sounds off, the hoover synth/engine combination continues this time is isn't rising but cooing throughout the beginning of the song. After the combo continues for a few more seconds the the synth/engine mixture stops and a a handclab beat mixed with a very catchy R&B driven instrumental soars throughout the track and Suzie wastes no time getting straight to the point. Suzie bringing out her whispery tone that sounds more sensual than ever, she begins. She murmurs : I just wanna tell you, baby (right now)|Don't stop, just move to the rhythm, c'mon, up and down | There's no way to stop it, baby (right now)| Push it, shove it, rub it, baby; making it very obvious that this song is now sweet song with it's provocative and sexually suggestive lyrics. Sounding very sensual Suzie continues with the backing beat behind her; You better make me feel like a lady (right now)| It's beating, it's alive, don't break it| It's better to embrace it (right now)| This Swedish heart is so tasty
Ain't it? As she playfully says "ain't it?" the backing beat continues onto the chorus where the handclaps continue but most notably the hoover synth/engine sounds are heard as they blare throughout the chorus. Suzie sounds very sultry singing: Ooooh It's so tasty | You're eyes rolling behind the back of you head| It's so racy | You know this Swedish heart, connects to yours| Beating in and out, to the break of dawn. You know you want it,
You know you want it |This Swedish H-e-e-e-a-a-r-r-t| Ooh baby you like it|My heart beating crazy and so psychotic| We're so excited| This Swedish H-e-e-e-a-a-r-r-t| H-e-e-e-a-a-r-r-t. Although a dirty song that contains multiple catchy metaphors, the production of the track is stellar. Rapper Parish also features on the song when the song reaches it's second verse. He gets on the second verse, blazing through 16 bars speaking on a very suggestive nature behind the blaring synths, and handclaps. After Parish is finished, the song breaks into it's next and final chorus until the song hits it's end. When the song is done, one may wonder, what exactly is this "Swedish Heart" Suzie is speaking of.

Probably HAS to be the freakiest song on the album. It's so hot and would honestly be the best song on the album to definitely have sex to. I mean, how else would you think of this song??? Other then it being absolutely amazing! Swedish Hearrrrrts? Bet you love eating Swedish Hearts ;)? I mean if you don't get it then you're obviously a virgin and should probably skip this song because it really isn't for you and could possibly traumatized you for life! LOL But if you're a Nymphomaniac then yes...this is your jam!!! I love this song and no I'm not a nympho, because this song has sick production from Diplo and I sound sexy as ever. Definitely a favorite of mine and will be for all the freaks out there ;) Parish also got in the studio and gave some killer bars on this track! He really gets out there, and makes this song even more hotter. He raps so fast!
