Katie smiles. "Yeah. Total vag block." She smiles and laughs. "I'll be back in a minute." She goes out the room, and comes back a few minutes later. "He was just fed up on his own. He wanted to come and see his friend." She puts Lucas on the floor and he crawls around picking stuff up.

Katie smiles and sits and looks down at Lucas, smiling. She puts her hand on Hayden's leg. Lucas looks up when Hayden speaks and laughs. He starts to coo and points at Hayden, before crawling closer.

Lucas smiles and claps when Hayden picks him up. He laughs up at Hayden and hands him a toy. Katie laughs. "He likes you Hay." Katie looks at Lucas and claps her hands. "Luke...Luke...can you say mummy? Say mummy Luke."

Katie smiles at Hayden. "We say mummy where I come from." She looks back at Lucas. "Say mummy Luke. Say "mummy"." She smiles. Lucas looks at her and laughs and then looks up at Hayden.

Katie laughs and leans over and kisses Hayden. "So you'd rather he talked like you than me, huh?" She laughs and kisses him again. Watching them closely, Lucas narrows his eyes. When Katie pulls away, he holds a toy up to Hayden. As Hayden reaches out to take it from him, Lucas, still staring up at him, says clearly and loudly "Daddy."

The second he says it, Katie feels a freezing lurch in the pit of her stomach. She turns towards Lucas and Hayden, shock in her eyes and her mouth open. She can't even speak as fear grips her, and a dread washes through her body. She feels her lip tremble.

At first, Katie laughs as Hayden says that Lucas will pull a lot of chicks with his accent. When he calls Hayden his daddy though, she is frozen for a few seconds, totally shocked, and terrified that she will lose Hayden. The silence in the room is deafening, before Hayden then speaks. Katie can feel the tears welling up in her eyes, and she stands up. She tries to speak, but finds there are no words.

As she starts to walk towards the door, Katie can feel that she is about to cry, so starts to run. She heads to the bathroom, where she locks the door and sits on the floor sobbing.

Katie sits propped up against the door in case anyone tries to come in. When she hears Hayden walk up the stairs, she clamps her hands over her ears and pushes back against the door. Lucas, confused at what happened, stares at Hayden. "Daddy" he says again, oblivious.

Katie hears Hayden knock on the door and shakes her head. "No." She whispers to herself, bringing her knees up to her chest. Lucas starts to cry "Daddy," he says through his tears. Katie cries harder and shakes her head. "He's ruined everything," she says through the door. Lucas hears Katie and stop crying. He hugs into Hayden. "Daddy."

Katie shakes her head. "NO...he's ruining everything. Make him stop!" At the sound of Katie shouting, Lucas starts to cry. He looks at Hayden, reaching out to him. He keeps saying it over and over: "Daddy....Daddy...Daddy."

"Lucas, please stop." He looks at him. "Please?" He then starts to sway a little. "Katie, it's not his fault, he doesn't know any better, no reason to be upset. What's ruined? I'm fine, but Lucas needs his mother. Katie stop acting like this." He sighs.
