Katie shakes her head. "A religious nut and some guy who was a hippy...and in the Beatles? I don't think either would be a good influence Hay."

Katie laughs and kisses his cheek. "You know I'm only kidding. The point was, neither of them would be as good a father figure as the one that he has in his life right now."

Katie smiled and held him. "Awww that's sweet. I'm sure you will be Hay. Would you want to be like that for Lucas?"

Katie smiles widely and nods. "That's very special for me to hear that Hay, and I appreciate it. I know Lucas will too. He deserves to have a good guy like you in his life. I would have brought him up with just a mum if I had to, but it will be so great for him to have us both."

Katie laughs. "If only I could do that. Sadly you don't have the milk machines that he always wants during the night." She chuckles. "And it's been great for us to have you too. So great."

Katie laughs and takes his hand. "We were Hay." She looks down at Lucas. "Night night baby. Have a good sleep. Mummy loves you," she says to him, lifting the baby monitor to take it with her.

Katie put the baby monitor on the bedside cabinet and yawned. She took off her shirt and her pants to leave her in her bra and panties, before she climbed into bed, cuddling up to Hayden. She smiled. "I love you Hay," she whispered.

Rory stands infront of a mirror in his hotel room, applying hair spray and doing the buttons of his shirt up. He'd been desperate to go on a date with Veronica and try to fix any doubt she may have ever had about him after the whole relationship with Suzie. He was feeling a little nervous but still made an effort to come across as confident, which is how he usually is around Veronica. He finished sorting his hair and waited in the doorway for Veronica, wearing a checkered blue and white shirt and jeans. He looks across the room to the bathroom door where she was getting ready.

"You ready yet, Veronica?"

"Alright. No rush." he chuckles to himself as he headed into the kitchen, pouring himself a little whiskey for dutch courage to control his nerves, he was desperate not to mess things up again as he knew this was his one last chance. He knew that if he made a mess of things today, he wouldn't get another chance again, which scared him. Being used to being calm and collected around women he never really cared about had become the norm to him, which throws him a bit considering how much he cares about Veronica, more than he'd ever cared about one single woman who wasn't his mother. He downed his glass of whiskey and sat up on the counter.

Rory smiles as he sees her, observing how she looked. She was so beautiful, and it dawned on him what he'd be missing if he made a single mistake today, making him feel a little bit more nervous. Although despite his nerves he tried to play it cool. "Perfection would be jealous of you right now, and all the guys in the restaurant are gonna be jealous of me for being there with you." he laughs and smiles, getting off of the kitchen counter and walking over to her. "You look stunning, Veronica."

He chuckles a little as she mentions the drink, looking back at the empty glass that once contained the whiskey. "Yeah, just needed a bit of Dutch courage. I've been a little nervous." he smiles and heads to the dinner table and grabs his wallet before heading over to the door with her. "Ready to go then, gorgeous?"
