"Well, I mean every word of it. I feel like a very lucky man right now." he smiles. "Thank you, Veronica. I had to make sure I looked my best. Especially seeing as I'm going with you, I don't wanna make you look like your standards are low or anything." he laughs. "And also, I was trying to be the best looking one on this date but I believe I've failed on that one." he smiles as she's grabs his hand. He looks down at their hands and softly rubs her hand with his thumb. He knew she liked him in the same way as he likes her, which increased his confidence a great deal. Though he never understood why she still gave him the time of day after he behaved so badly towards her while he was with Suzie, but he appreciated her forgiveness more than anything.

"Well, I guess I just don't wanna mess anything up. I want us to both look back at today and remember it for all the right reasons." he smiles at her as they approach the front door, unlocking the door before opening it. He moves out of the doorway to let her out first. "After you, beautiful."

"You being here at all has made up for it, I've missed you a lot. Skype doesn't compare to seeing you in person, although I get a few cheeky glances at your backside when we're on Skype." he winks and laughs. "You know, this might be the first time I've ever had a date with someone hotter than me. But together... Oh my God, someone needs to keep a fire extinguisher on them. Us together must be hot enough to start a fire." he pokes his tongue out at her again and laughs, starting to feel more at ease with her the more he joked around, keeping her entertained. As she squeezes his hand, he feels secure with her and gives a gentle squeeze back. Knowing she was not gonna be staying with him much longer as she had work commitments, he was desperate to seal the deal and start a relationship with her before the day ends as he didn't want to wait longer for the chance he's wanted for ages.

"I hope so, I still feel as if I haven't fully made up for everything that happened before." he follows her outside, locking the door after they left it. "There's a nice fancy restaurant down the road from the hotel. Apparently it's one of the nicest in the area, and someone like you deserves only the best, right?" he smirks and puts his arm around her as they walk downstairs to the hotel lobby.

"Well, I had drinking buddies while I was waiting for you to come back, but none of them even compare to you. You're a way better drinking buddy." he smiles, before grinning as she teases him. "Oh really, huh? You're such a tease, I love it." he laughs. "Well, to me you're just perfection. You're beautiful, stunning, hot, sexy... The list goes on and on. And aswell as how you look, you're sweet, funny, kind, forgiving and a bit of a tease." he laughs and pokes his tongue out at her. "If anyone asked me to describe my dream woman, all I'd have to say is Veronica Carter." he chuckles and smiles. He felt different around Veronica, as if his ego doesn't matter and he could just be himself. He knew how to make her feel good and he knew the right thing to say at the right time. "I'm so glad you're here. I've never wanted to be with someone as much as I've wanted to be with you."

"I will never be that guy again, I've learnt from my mistakes and I'm gonna be a better person to you." he smiles as she walks closer to him, keeping his arm around her. "Of course we do." he smiles.

"You're hot when you're sober too." he laughs. "I just enjoy your company more than most others." he smiles and winks. "I'm used to it, I just can't get enough of it." he laughs. "Well, you're as close to perfect as they come. You're amazing and I just can't get enough of you. But I agree, we make a nice match together. If I'm honest, there's nothing I want more than for us to be more than friends. I haven't felt such a good connection with a woman in my life, honestly. I'm so happy that I'm getting this chance. The way I treated you before was the biggest mistake of my life, and today I'm gonna make up for it."

"Yeah, but you're the person who I changed for, so hopefully you like me like this now." he smiles, going red as she kisses his cheek.

"Just take the compliment, woman." he laughs and pokes his tongue out at her. "I thought you women love compliments." he laughs. "On the first leg, I was desperate to go back to the UK, but once I got back I was desperate to get back into the US to see you. I just can't get enough of you, all I want when I'm not around you is to be around you." he smiles. "A mess? Not likely. Messes aren't beautiful and amazing as you are." he realizes that she meant what she said about being a mess, but tries to make her feel like she's not. "That'd make this birthday the best birthday ever if we took this relationship to that extra step."

"I heard that you liked talking about me." he laughs and smiles. "Izzy told me that you talk about me all the time, she wouldn't tell me what you said though, but she said there was nothing bad said, which was a relief." he grins as they arrive at the restaurant, entering the building with his arm around her.

"Well, is there such thing as too many compliments?" he laughs. "Well, if I wasn't around you then all I'd wanna do is talk to you some other way. And also, you may say you're not special, but I know that's not true. You're a very special woman and you're incredibly special to me." he smiles. "I like everything about you, there's nothing not to like about you." he chuckles. "Awww, why not? Why is everyone allowed to know how you feel about me except for me?" he laughs as he searches for a table with her. Upon finding a table, he pulls a chair out from under the table for Veronica to sit, before making his way to his own chair, sitting down aswell.

"Well, the only reason for that is because other guys must be too shy. I'm not afraid to tell you how amazing you are." he smiles, before laughing at the stalker joke. "Well, I wouldn't say stalker... Just a guy who likes you a whole lot." he winks at her, sitting down. "Well, as long as you see what you wanna see in me then I don't care what other people think of me. I only care about the opinions of people I care about." he smiles. "I can't order for you, I don't know what you like. The date will be ruined if I pick the wrong thing for you." he laughs.

"Well, if any guy doesn't think that way, I think I may have to question their sexuality." he laughs and smiles at her. "Well, stalker sounds a bit too much, but I'll be whatever you want me to be." he pokes his tongue out at her and reads through the menu. "How about we both have some spaghetti? It's been a while since I've had some." he looks at her, hoping that he made a good choice as the slightest mistake scared Rory incase it became a big deal.

"A man with incredible taste, huh? Sounds good to me." he chuckles. "Yeah, sure. You can have whatever you want." he smiles at her, placing his hands down on the table. "I'm just gonna have a vanilla coke or something, I'm not going for alcohol tonight, I wanna remember this day for a long time. So I'm not gonna get drunk." he smiles as the waiter approaches their table.

"Are you ready for me to take your orders?" the waiter asks, with a smile.

"Yeah, mate. Can we have two spaghetti's please with Parmesan cheese, a glass of water and a glass of vanilla coke please?" Rory replies, looking to Veronica incase she changed her mind on anything. "Want anything else, gorgeous?"

"Well, what can I say? I'd be an idiot not to at least try, right?" he chuckles. "I think we should go the whole night sober too, just incase I have a reason to wanna remember that too." he winks at her and laughs, jokingly. "I'm only kidding... possibly." he pokes his tongue out at her. He then nods back and smiles when she nods to him, before turning to the waiter. "That should be all then, thank you."

"Okay, your food should arrive shortly." the waiter replies, before heading to the kitchen to confirm his order.

Rory looks back to Veronica, smiling. "So, how's things been with you and Ansley while I've been gone?"
