"You don't care?" Those words hit Scott hard and he shakes his head a little. "Yes I know. I don't know what to tell you though. I wish I had a way that I could help you remember." He sighs a little and looks up to see her taking out her IV. "Stop it Gia, just stay there. They need go make sure you're fine. Where are you going to go anyway?"

Scott watches Gia. He shakes his head and stands up. "You can lay there and do nothing because the doctors have told you to. You might be far more ill than you think. You can't tell. No one can yet. I mean for fucks sake Gia you hit your head so hard you knocked the last seven fucking years out of it. That must tell you something." He shakes his head again.
"Oh....they're just my kids are they?" He sighs and scratches his head. That hurt him more than anything else. She was essentially just rejecting their kids right in front of him and it killed Scott to hear that.

Scott listens to Gia for a while. He shakes his head consistently. "You know, it's not just about memory Gia. There's a physical reason why you've forgotten everything, and I don't know what that is, and you sure as hell don't know what that is either. Lying here will not get your memory back, no, but what if you walk out of here and you've got a brain injury. You want to just drop down in the street? I sure as hell think that would do no one any good!" He sighs. "You know what, I'm sorry, but this is just frustrating for me as well. You are my wife, no matter if you are now someone completely different, and I still care about you and I still want you to get better. The last thing I want is to see you get even more unwell than you are now."

He listens to her describe how she can't remember the kids or anything about them again, and Scott feels a little sick. He stands there and looks at the floor for a while. It seems to him that Gia is not ready for any of this. She isn't ready for a family or a husband, and definitely not for kids. He feels tears welling up behind his eyes and he nods. "Ok. Well I hope you find what you're looking for." He turns and walks out of the room before Gia can see him crying again, quickly wiping his tears before Layla and Mark see them.

Scott walks over to where the 3 are sat and lifts Sophie from Layla. Sophie smiles at him and then points to the door. "Mommy," she says. "Daddy....mommy," she points at the door again and Scott cuddles her. "Mommy isn't well Soph. We can't go in to see her right now." Sophie looks confused. "Mommy..." she repeats and Scott shakes his head as he tries to comfort her as he stands in front of Mark and Layla.

Scott looked at Layla and went to talk when Gia came storming out of the room and down the corridor. As soon as Sophie sees her, her face lights up and she reaches her arms out. "Mommy! Mommy! See Sophie!" She shouts, her cries falling on deaf ears as Gia walks towards the door. Sophie looks at Scott and then Scott looks at Layla and sighs.

"That's how she is." Scott says to Layla. "She doesn't know us, and she isn't going to just put on an apron and get on with life the way I know it." He shrugs and sits down with Sophie, whose eyes are still transfixed on the door she just saw Gia disappear through. Scott shakes his head and hugs Sophie. "She doesn't even know where she is, but she won't even listen to a word I say. Of course she won't. I'm just some guy off the TV and stuff to her now. Nothing I've done in my life has any significance in her eyes apart from as a musician."

He sighs and kisses Sophie on the head. "Try to get some sleep, Princess," he whispers.

Sophie looks up at Layla. She points to the door. "My mommy," she says quietly and then her bottom lip begins to tremble a little. Scott rubs her back softly.

Scott smiles at Layla a little. "Yeah, I guess that would be good. She might not be all that happy with you either though, so be prepared for that one. She seemed mad that you had decided to get married." He sighs and laughs a little out of frustration and disbelief. "I just hope it comes back. I can't force someone who doesnt know me to love me."

Scott shakes his head. "I'm not giving up her Layla. Not at all. Just...its hard. I can see how frustrating it is for her and I can't imagine how it feels to be told you have a family you don't even know anything about...but its hard for me too. Its killing me that the girl I've been sleeping next to for the last year now doesn't even know me...the girl I love more than anything."

Mark nods and smiles a little at Layla. "Yeah babe let's go."

Scott looks up at them both. "Thanks to you both. You don't know how much your support and help means to me. Really I mean that." He nods. "I'm gonna go find Gia."

After having found a nurse to look after Sophie and Bailey and giving each of them a kiss, Scott heads out of the hospital after Gia in the same direction.

He walks for a while before eventually seeing her sitting on a park bench looking sad. In the colder weather, she looks to be shivering a little. Scott walks up behind her and waits a second. He takes his thick jacket off and puts it over her shoulders before walking around the bench and sitting next to her. He doesn't say anything at first, just smiles a little and then sits beside her looking ahead at the autumn trees.

Scott stays quiet for a while as they sit there in silence not even looking at each other. It was cutting him up bad inside that it had come to this after all they had gone through. He smiled a little at her and then rubs his stubble.

"Well theres like 2 days left on the hotel we were on vacation at. You could have that reservation. I'm gonna take the kids back to New York later anyway so you'll have the room to yourself. Its a nice place."

Scott looked over at Gia and then shrugged a little. "You know I just assumed you were looking for some time or something to feel better. I never thought of it as leaving you. I just need to get the kids home."

He looks up and then at the floor before rubbing his arm. He nods. "Sure I'm sure there will be seats on the flight still. And there must be a lot of hotels in New York." He looks at the ground intently for a while.
