Scott nods. "Yeah I seriously live here. Its pretty cool. I get used to the size and stuff. I haven't ever gotten lost in the last year." He puts the towel around his neck.

"Do you want a drink or anything?"

Scott shakes his head. "Nah we dont have servants. We like to manage on our own to keep some level of reality." He smiles. "You sure you don't want a coffee or anything?" He stretches a little as if to show off his muscles, partly trying to impress her.

"Yeah it was just us. I mean we often had visitors. Like your friend Cassie when her husband left her or Sophie's...I mean...your friend Andrea." He smiles.

Scott nods and sighs. "Sorry I forgot. I'm really tired." He comes into the living room. "Yeah those were two of your best friends. Aside from Layla. Although she never stayed here. You stayed with her for a while though...well...never mind about that..." He looks a little guilty.

Scott feels his stomach drop. "Ah...well something happened and for a few weeks you wanted to get away from me. It all worked out in the end though."

Scott shakes his head. "Its not as important as you would think." Sophie then starts to wake up and cries a little. "Daddy..." She says sleepily from the other side of the room.
Scott gets up and goes over to lift her out of the stroller, holding her against his shoulder so she can't see Gia and get upset. He sits back down as Sophie starts to drift back to sleep.

"So...were you thinking of finding a hotel in NY or...what?"

Scott holds Sophie for a while, rubbing her back as she drifts back off to sleep. He then gently lays her on the sofa next to him where she immediately curls up into a little ball and sleeps soundly. Scott smiles and then looks back at Gia. She hadn't even mentioned the kids yet, and he had a feeling that this was going to be the hardest part of life for her to accept. He wasn't even sure she could. He shrugs a little.

"Obviously I understand if you want to get a hotel. Its fine. There's like 7 spare rooms in this house though. So if you want your own room I'll just find one of the others to sleep in."

Scott slowly nods and then smiles a little at her. "I guess that would work yeah. You can have your own room then and I'll just move to the other side of the house." He nods and then thinks about her question about Sophie. "Well..." He says, "I guess if you're ever gonna remember you need all the truth." He clears his throat. "Sophie doesn't look like us because she's adopted. Her mum Andrea....your friend...couldn't cope so she gave them up. We were at the hospital visiting and you said you couldn't leave her there."

He stands up and walks back to the stroller. "This little one though...she looks exactly like us." He lifts Bailey carefully and walks back to sit on the sofa.

Scott smiles. "If there was one thing no one would ever say about is its that we're boring. Always something happening with Scott and Gia." Bailey stares at Gia for a while before she smiles and reaches out to her. Scott smiles and pushes Baileys arms down gently and she cuddles into him.

Scott nods. "Yeah. She looks a lot like you. Everyone always says it.." He smiles and kisses Bailey on the top of the head as she continues to stare at Gia. "She's probably wondering where youve been the last little while."

Scott thinks for a few seconds. One thing he had vowed in his mind was to make sure the girls weren't confused by someone coming into their lives and going out again. But Gia seemed like she was really trying to remember, and he couldn't hold that against her. Eventually he nods and kisses Baileys head again before lifting her and handing her over to Gia carefully as if unsure she knows how to hold a baby. "Sure. If she gets cranky, just rock her slowly. It always helps when I do that."

Scott shakes his head. "I don't think either of them know whats going on really. Sophie gets restless at nights because she misses...her mum...but she goes to sleep eventually." He watches how Bailey immediately cuddles into Gia and falls asleep. "Baileys always been peaceful. She hardly ever cries except when i wake her up. She seems to be happy to see you though. She looks comfy." He nods as he looks over to check on Sophie.
