"Why do you like her more than me?!" She cries out, her voice slightly muffled by her knees. The fresh cuts on her arms sting as she holds them against herself.

He stands and moves to hug her,but stops. He looks at the floor. "So...is straight edge what you want? You want me to quit? Fine. It's done." He looks at Ada. " I guess we both have our escapes. The blood is smeared on your pants..you broke your promise to me." He shoves his hands in his pockets.
