VERSE #1 Laurence sings the first verse slowly and with warm vocals that only his husky voice could give. I met you during the war When I didn't know where to go You just knocked on my door And you came in to show I could have so much more PRE-CHORUS When Laurence ends his verse, Den sings the pre-chorus, giving some deeper and lower vocals that are faster for the first three lines, but slowlier at the end where some instruments stop playing holding the climax back a little. You show me how to fly over the moon How to feel the summer not only in June How to feel free like a balloon But it's only you Only you CHORUS As Den almost whispers the last line, Martina and Tanya scream together making the perfect harmony for the chorus which sounds soft and yet very powerful. [Martina & Tanya] Only you I want right now You're the only one Who can always make me go like wow Even when nothing you have done And still I don't know how But I, yes I Want nobody but you VERSE #2 When the chorus ends, some smooth synths begin to play making up a percussion and Joey sings the new verse fitting with the rhythm of the synths. You always know how to brigthen my day Even when out there is raining What I'm feeling is love they say And I like what they are saying Because everything is changing to white from grey PRE-CHORUS At the end of Joey's verse, another pre-chorus sung by Den comes with the new added percussion of synths. You show me how to fly over the moon How to feel the summer not only in June How to feel free like a balloon But it's only you Only you CHORUS The chorus is repeated with the percussion and becomes even more emotional and powerful than before. [Martina & Tanya] Only you I want right now You're the only one Who can always make me go like wow Even when nothing you have done And still I don't know how But I, yes I Want nobody but you BRIDGE At the end of the chorus, the song goes through a long instrumental where some synth violins and bells play new leading melodies that grow the emotion of the song. CHORUS At the end of the instrumental, the chorus is repeated in an even stronger way as all the Titans sing together and Tanya even does some ad-libs, proving once again her powerful vocals. Only you I want right now You're the only one Who can always make me go like wow Even when nothing you have done And still I don't know how But I, yes I Want nobody but you Only you I want right now (Only you) You're the only one Who can always make me go like wow (Like now) Even when nothing you have done And still I don't know how (I don't know, I don't know) But I, yes I Want nobody but you (I want nobody but you) ENDING After Tanya's last ad-lib, only the piano that plays in the intro can be heard and Martina sings two last lines that close the song. Yes I Want nobody but you SOUNDS LIKE: COMMENTARY: Martina: This is the song of the album that I wrote and produced all by myself and it is very personal for me. It means a lot and it is basically about falling in love. Den: ...And feeling the love! Martina: Yes. I wrote it when I fell in love with my current boyfriend Nate and I loved it so much I decided to keep it for a Teen Titans' album instead of my solo one. Den: Yeah, when she showed me the lyrics I was like "Wow, it would be amazing if we all sang this song!" And when she told me she decided to use this as a song for the new album of the group, I was just thrilled! Tanya: (Frowning a little embarassed) I cried a bit when I heard the full song. I love this track, it's one of my favorite tracks. I think this album overrall is dope, it's so hip, urban and dance. It's more of this movement of free, bright and just pure music. VERSE #1 Martina then sings the first verse with a smooth and enigmatic voice. You said you would always be there But you never came back Life is never meant to be fair It can always attack And I had to be ready PRE-CHORUS When the verse ends, the beat intensity increases with other pads and arps and Tanya sings the pre-chorus with louder vocals. Now it's been so long, I've tried to be strong So far on a star Is where you must be But I can hold it back no more A lot of tears I have to pour CHORUS Tanya ends with a scream and as all the instruments suddenly play a measure of their melody in reverse making an interesting new sound, the chorus begins. It's sung by all the Titans together on the 'R I P' parts with loud vocals and each of the solo lines fit with catchy tune. R I P Can you come back to me Can you set me free If I count from one to three And you R I P Return if possible VERSE #2 The beat keeps going strong with all the arps and the synths after the end of the chorus and Joey is the one who sings the new verse with an enigmatic voice, using a creepier tone of voice than Martina. With me is where you need to be Come back to me, come back to me Let me sing R I P Come back to me Just come back That is all Return if possible CHORUS When Laurence sings the last line, the chorus immediately starts. R I P Can you come back to me Can you set me free If I count from one to three And you R I P Return if possible ENDING After the last chorus, the three letters 'R I P' are repeated by the Titans and the instruments keep playing until the song ends fading. SOUNDS LIKE: COMMENTARY: Tanya: Ooh, 'RIP' - the song that's supposed to be about death but it's not exactly about it. I love it. Den: (Laughs) Me too! Martina: It is actually meant to be about death, about losing someone you love because they are passed away. Or at least this was the idea of the song at the beginning, when it still had a lot of words related to the dark theme of the death, which was honestly a bit too much and so we decided to change the lyrics to something that everyone could have related to more easily, like losing someone you love and missing this person. Den: Yeah, you know like an ex or a relative that you miss or even a friend who disappointed you. VERSE #1 Then Den sings the first verse with low and deep vocals, while the beat keeps playing the same way. As the night is over, I see the light Another day is gone, but it doesn't feel right And there's still so much left to do But maybe now all I really need is you PRE-CHORUS After the last line of the verse, the beat slows down with pads and arps joining the instrumentation. Tanya sings the pre-chorus with the other four doing the harmonies on some lines. I mean, when we were about to finish the recordings of the album, we had this idea to write an actual song that ended the album talking about the dawn and you know, the beginning of a new day.
