erich winces slightly.he knew a mistep in this emotional minefield was bound to happen. erich looks at ada for a second. "ada,have i ever gave you that impression? " he asks,before thinking it sneaky to answer a question with a question. "i have no physical "type"."

Hearing Ada's voice,erich pokes his shaving soap covered face out the bathroom door . " you ok,my little red capped one?"

Erich looks Around the room in search of hidden snipers that must be to blame for Ada's ailment. Finding none,he wipes his face off and sits beside his wife. " some excedrine? Coffee,blood letting ? What do you need?" He asks very quietly.

Erich nods and ninja stalks it out of the room and into the infirmary. Several minutes later he comes back with armfuls of medicine. Legal illegal,horribly outdated ,he brings it all.
" ok here's some stuff for migranes some other stuff for normal headaches,and some ether and laudanum." He shrugs. " I think you need the first one. But I flunked out of med school."

Erich goes to get her a glass of water to wash down her medication. He lightly kisses her cheek and nods. " I had potentiental once." He laughs. " then I kinda did the downward spiral thing and here I am today....I thinkit worked out for the best." He says with a small smile.

Erich smiles when her head touches his shoulder,he gives it a light touch. " I am the classic " jack of all trades,master of none " sort of man." He says with a laugh,fiddling with a bottle of paregoric. " I am....slightly older than Erica. " he says evasively.

"Your giggle could pry the secrets out of the most hardened secret agent. I'm 30 years of age,Erica is 27 or 28.,I honestly don't remember anymore." Erich smirks. " I better start applying for aaarp,huh?" He chuckles.

Erich understands "cradle" out of that. " um..why,how old are you?" He asks cautiously,realizing he never has given any thought to Ada's age. He just assumes everyone is his age.

"Oh." Erich says.." Suddenly I feel quite dirty..the kind of dirt that doesn't wash off." Not knowing if it will help or not,erich lightly rubs Ada's temples. " perhaps we should say goodnight with firm handshakes instead of kisses now?" He says in light of the new knowledge.
