erich shrugs. "i dont really know.i know they made enough to make the transition from black and white to color.then there was a spin off,where gomer joins the marines. i loved that show.." erich clams up. as a rule,spouting andy griffith show knowledge is the quickest way to unimpress a woman.

erich scoots in close to ada. "ok,you see the goofball who say's "shazam!"? that is gomer pyle. played by the very lovely jim nabors,who had the voice of an angel. nobody knew how this happened,but it did. " erich looks sort of confused that the show has held ada's interest for so long. "just wait till otis,the town drunk shows up. hilarity ensues."

"i would be telling a fib if otis wasnt an influence on me and my...habits." he says winking back at his wife. "old tv therapy?! i guess stranger things have happened. i think for the next headache,we''' watch bj and the bear." erich gestures wildly with his hands. "picture it,ada. a truck driver who solves crimes.....with a monkey! it is tv gold!" erich chuckles.

erich becomes very serious. "you are not a fan of monkeys?!" erich says this as if he refuses to believe the words even fit together. "ooh,that little bastard there is none other than ron howard. the less talented brother of clint howard. yes,that ron howard. the andy griffith show was the crux upon which post war america was built....this is just my theory,but i tend to think i'm right."

"but...but i love monkeys." erich stammers. thinking of a monkeyless future. he looks at his wife and takes a big breath. "well.....i suppose sacrifices must be made. no monkeys for us." erich says regretfully. he drowns his monkey sorrows in andy lore. "andy is opie's father. i think the mother was killed in a car accident or something. a lot of tv shows killed off the mother. i think because it let the father still be a swinging bachelor. now ron howard was also on the american staple,"happy days" as ritchie cunningham."

erich puts his hand on ada's "ok,no....primates for us. those little fuckers are right out of the question." he nods firmly,letting go of his monkey infatuation. "happy days is another old show about a bunch of kids in the late 50's / 60's. the main point of happy days was the fonz. he was the coolest person to ever live."

erich smiles and nods. "thats the chap...though he wasnt near as cute whilst doing it."

"you are so adorable,ada.you impressed me weeks ago" erich is interrupted by her kiss. erich holds her and kisses her far more passionately than he should,given her headache.

erich moves his head so ada can reach his neck better. "oh ada...."he trails off. "your lips are amazing."

erich gives a little yelp when bitten and runs his hands over her back. "i love you so much,ada. you are the sexiest woman i have ever met." he whispers quietly,
