i love this pic of me.my skin looks fantastic! i am in canada! this is my first voyage outside the boundaries of my home country and i am very excited. i took my first breath of canadian air at 8:43pm. oddly,it tasted much like american air. i chalk this up to canadian air drifting over the border. in any case.here i am,canadians!
i was lucky enough to be selected to join shadowmachine as the touring keyboardist. finally, all those piano lessons are coming in handy. up until now,my keyboard skills were limited to bedroom covers of europe's "the final countdown". i am totally embarrassed to say,i rock that song! look for it soon at a venue near you.holding up lighters will be optional, but heavily encouraged.
trent, the brains behind shadowmachine, seems like a very cool man. i am making this voyage to meet him before the tour. i think it will help get a feel for what he wants.shadowmachine is his baby, and i dont want to give his baby a black eye. handing me some music and saying "here, play this." would work. but i think getting a feel for what he is all about, will bring an organic feel to shadowmachine's tour. its like everyone knows a guitarist that can play "purple haze" note for note, but it lacks....emotion. that is what i am going to canada for.i am so looking forward to the tour with trent and whomever else he finds to play for him. it'll be my first time touring with a real band,so i am stoked and nervous and scared, and about to bust with excitement.
on my own music front...not much as been going on. i've been doing loads of shows around baltimore. chances are,if you toured baltimore in the past week,i've opened for you. the gigs are steady,so i cant complain...actually i can,but it wont do any good! TC
