Title: Never Really Mattered Label: Five Pesky Kids Genre: Pop, synthpop Length: 3:25 Writers: Dana McGuire, Michael Black, Alexis Grey Producer: Michael Black Released: 11th Febraury 2013 Never Really Mattered is the 3rd single from pop girl group SYNCO after releasing Treat Your Girl Right which was written and produced by Nevaeh Martinez as their first single and Rock The Night as their second single the girls have said this will be the last single until the full album comes out they performed this track for the first time at the Chaos Awards VII where they were also nominated for best newcomer and the youngest of the group Layla Sanchez was a co-host the girls performance was called magical and compared to the mad hatters tea party in Alice in the Wonderland the song was written by professional writers Dana McGuire and Michael Black and also by group member Alexis Grey who also wrote on the groups second single "Rock The Night" the girls have worked with pretty big names in the music industry already and they've accomplished quite a lot for being so new and only knowing each other for a few months it's safe to say these girls have a very bright future ahead of them the song has a very different sound to it than the previous two singles as their debut was pop with a bit of R&B in it their second single was more of a pop-dance track and this one has a very unique sound to it it has these airy sort of synths in it and this really nice beat to it that goes well with the girls voices which is surprising since the girls haven't done anything like this before yet the song is started out with the girls harmonizing amazingly as they sing the "Oh's" in this odd but great harmony after they finish harmonizing together the eldest of the girls Nicole comes in singing in her more theatrical voice which people didn't always love however she sounded rather good as she continued singing her part after she finished the lead vocalist of the group and co-writer of the song Alex Grey came in she had a very rich and mature voice that people usually fell in love with easily she was easily the best singer in the group everyone loved how she had power in her voice and she could control it unlike Jamie who was the powerhouse but would lose control of her voice at certain times her voice wasn't as unique as Layla's but just as likeable maybe even more the girls then come back in and harmonize with Alex as they sang "but I guess my best wasn't enough" together sounding amazing they had a sort of unique harmony together that sounded really good Alex then finished her verse and it went over to Layla who sang the pre-chorus she had an amazingly unique voice, look and personality that really drew people into her more Alex may have been the lead vocalist but it was safe to say Layla is the most popular of the girls having more followers on Twitter and people have listed her as their favorite as well Layla's voice is very unique she's amazing at riffs and runs and tends to them at any chance given however her voice may just come off as a bit annoying to some after Layla finished up the pre-chorus the girls all come in with that unique harmony that sounded really amazing as they sang "It never really mattered" over and over again it then went to the "Oh's" which they seemed to do amazing live and recorded after the chorus was finished it went to Naomi who took the whole second verse she had a pretty good voice maybe not the most powerful or unique but her voice is pretty good and she adds a lot to the harmonies which probably wouldn't sound the same without her she sings in that sort of laid back blousy voice that we're use to as the girls all harmonize and back her up with the "Woah-oh-oh-oh's" after she finishes her part it goes back to the pre-chorus where Layla takes over once again singing in her unique voice but adding more power to it this time around they sang the chorus once again the same with those unique and beautiful harmonies after the chorus finished it went over to Jamie who easily had the most powerful voice of the group the only problem with her was the lack of control over it however she's only the second youngest in the group and has plenty time to work on that she sang her part amazingly going higher and higher with each "Anything" until she finally reached the last one she held it for quite some time as well in a really high pitch her voice and personality were quite different from each other she had the most powerful and loud voice of the girls but was also the shyest of them after Jamie finished her part Layla came in and the beat sounded almost like people clapping and a drum repeating over and over again which sounded good she sang "I'm not sorry" over and over again with that unique voice until she reached "And I'm gonna be alright" when she had sang that part she showed off a little more of the power in her voice the girls all came back in again singing the "Oh's" this time instead of starting the other way they harmonized amazingly not perfectly but still amazingly until they had finished the song and it came to an end Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh ,oh, oh Oh, oh, oh, oh ,oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, ah Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh ,oh, oh Oh, oh, oh, oh ,oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, ahBrought to me knees reality is a killer Covered my eyes I didn't want to see itI'd rather live in a lie I tried my best I really did I mean it but I guess my best wasn't enoughI've given my all but it was always unevenBut I found out, oh But I found out that It never really mattered, it never really mattered It never really mattered, it never really mattered, it never really
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh ,oh, oh Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, ah After awhile all the crying was over ( Woah-oh-oh-oh, woah-oh-oh-oh) I finally had stopped thinking about you ( Woah-oh-oh-oh) Letting it all go I've let go of the memories they're all under the water ( Woah-oh-oh-oh) I didn't need you, oh I was finally through It never really mattered, it never really mattered It never really mattered, it never really mattered, it never really
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh ,oh, oh Oh, oh, oh, oh ,oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, ahBaby I would have gave you everything, I would have gave you anything yeah I would have gave you anythingI'm not sorry, no I'm not sorry, I'm not sorry, I'm not sorry I'm not sorry, I'm not sorry, No I'm not sorry, I'm not sorry And I'm gonna be alrightOh, oh, oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh ,oh, oh Oh, oh, oh, oh ,oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, ah But I found out, oh But I found out that It never really mattered, it never really mattered It never really mattered, it never really mattered, it never really Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, ahSounds like
