The nurse looks at Ada and then looks at Erich. He seems genuinely upset when he says, "We have to take her now. She has to get stitched up now..." He says as he takes her into her room and puts an IV in her of morphine.

utterly defeated,erich's shoulder slump and he watches them take ada away. for a second,he considers making good on his offer to get himself committed.it'd be a simple matter of holding his pistol to his head,but he reconsiders.that might hurt more than help. erich aimlessly sits in a waiting room chair and stares at the ceiling. |

OOC: Fast forward two hours. WOOOOOSH. By the way, I'm making my boyfriend watch Ghost World for the first time. It's hilarious how painfully accurate Enid and Scarlett Johanson's dialogue is to my best friend and I's.
The doctor comes to the lobby and looks around until he spots Erich. "Mr. Hess, correct? Mrs. von Wannemaker's husband?

OOC: Seymour was my ex-husband. And Ghost World was his favorite movie/graphic novel. Literally our life for the longest time was sitting in our shitty apartment, getting drunk, and listening to Neutral Milk Hotel records and argueing the legitimacy of james kochalka's writing. Also, he was twice my age. Lol
The doctor sighs. "We had to knock her out. She was absolutely delirious when you brought her in. She had lost a lot a blood... But we have her under control now. Can you tell me how she got the marks on her arms?"

Erich listens to the doctor. So far relieved to not hear anything about keeping her. He considers lying to the doctor,but does what is best for Ada. He looks back toward the door she went through. " well...she did it to herself. I assume with her fingernails. " erich says,slightly grimacing. He imagines that had to be incredibly painful for Ada. |

OOC: He is a good guy, really. We got a divorce because he got deported, and then just kind of gave up on life. Since I'm not a natural US citizen, him getting his green card from marrying me wasn't exactly as easy as we thought it would be... I guess he's back now, and avoiding me because he knows I'm in a happy relationship now.
The doctor nods. "That's what we thought. We st-- I'm sorry, can I just say that I'm a huge Atomic War Bride fan?-- stitch her arm up in several crescent shaped cuts, so we assumed that they were from her nails. The only other times we see cuts like that, besides self-induced, are when two girls get into fights with each other... This is the less sexy scenario..." He sighs. "We're going to keep her over night for observation, as we do with anybody with self-inflicted injuries, and then we'll give her a choice between being released, or going into the psychiatric part of the facility. Her choice... and yours."

Ooc : hmm. I never knew. I always assumed a citizen was a citizen no matter what. Now I know. Also,the word "wig" as opposed to "toupee", has me picturing a man with Farrah fawcett hair.
Erich nods along with the doctor,then looks puzzled when he is recognized. It rarely happens. " oh...well I am pleased to meet you,then."erich says,relishing the surreal nature of the situation. " so she hasn't bled to death? Whew...I will talk to her tomorrow about what she wants to do,I think she will want to come home." Erich says to the doctor. |

OOC: Oh no, sweetie. It was a wig. And I think it might have actually been a female wig.
"I thought as much, especially after her last stent in the psychiatric ward," The doctor says back, and then looks embarrassed by the fact that he's kept up with celebrity news that much. "You can go see her. She in the room at the end of the hallway." He points down the hallway for Erich and then walks back to the nurse's desk.

Erich thanks the doctor and walls back towards Ada's room. He knocks lightly on th door frame before sticking his head in. " um, Ada?" He quietly calls. |

" what if I didn't make it here in time? You could have died Ada. ...died." He says looking out the window,trying to keep his air of toughness about him. |
