Vara stood outside Trent's bus, taking a long smoke break from having to deal with Trent's slow detoxing. She was on edge and had said nasty things to Mariko. Not that she would ever apologize or admit that she had done those things, but deep down she knew that Mariko was not the true source of the problem. She shakes her head and takes a long drag. Like it or not, Mariko and Trent were friends, and that meant that Trent was going to be stuck in the middle of this. Vara had made a promise to Trent that she wouldn't start fights, but she would damn sure end them if Mariko tried to talk any shit like she did last night.

"Mariko..." Vara says back with a small nod, watching her. She looks briefly at her ass as she walks by, and then gives a little smirk. 'Mine is still better...' She thinks with a grin.

Vara blinks once and gives a small smile. "I'm fine, thank you," she says simply, and then looks away.

"Yeah, I've gotten really good at doing that," Vara says back, a bit of bitterness directed towards Mariko under her voice.

"I know you love to help, darling..." Vara says softly with a small, serene grin. "It's just a very difficult course. More difficult than I thought it would be."

Vara smirks and takes another drag of her cigarette. "Tell him that," she says as she nods towards their RV. "Darling, I hate to ask this, but you wouldn't happen to have any Tylenol or something like that on you, would you?"

"Grazie," Vara says as she dry-swallows (occ: heehehe...) the pills and sighs. "Don't get me wrong, I am glad that Trent is quitting drugs and all, but... That means I have to quit, too..."

"Umm..." Vara struggles for a response. "We both... like... Italian food..." She comes back with, wincing a little.

Vara eyes the peyote and giggles, knowing exactly what it is. "Yeah, sure... But only when Trent is done with this whole 'detoxing' shit he's going through right now..." She says back, throwing down her cigarette and stepping it out. "Then we can venture into hallucinogenics."

Vara lets out a quick, loud laugh. "Oh, sweetie. I'm not sober. I'm just tired of being intoxicated alone..." She reaches into her jacket and pulls out her flask. "Maybe my drinking isn't as glamorous as intense and constant drug use is, but we all have our vices, right, darling?"
