Joey looks at her, seeing that she looked upset. He put his arm around and brought his head in close to hers, so that they laid face to face. "You sure you're alright?" Joey was desperately trying to brighten the mood, he knew that his lungs were permanently going to be affected by the fire and the amount of smoke he had inhaled but the only thing on his mind was Izzy and her well-being. "I could lay here for hours with you, babe." He cuddles up with Izzy. "And don't worry, I'll stick around for as long as I can." he chuckles.

Joey lifts her chin, gently. "You've got priorities and commitments, babe. I'm not gonna get in the way of your career, I'll just be at home cheering you on through it all. I know it's not great on either of us that we haven't had much time together recently but you enjoy what you do, and I'm happy knowing that you're having fun. I have no obligations to work being the number one priority to you." he smiles.

"Nah, I don't want anything... Just you." He smiles and cuddles up to Izzy. "Stay the night here with me, Izzy... I don't wanna be alone tonight. I promise, when we get out of here, I'll arrange for us to go on holiday sometime again. We can have our Izzy and Joey time for the first time in a while. No work, no music, no responsibility. We'll just relax and have a fun time. You up for it?"

Joey smiles and kisses back. "Good, I don't wanna be stuck here on my own tonight." He chuckles. "Well, it was a suggestion, I just wanna have a bit of you to myself, you know? I understand how busy you've been lately, with the TV show and stuff like that though. I might have to buy a cat, just so I can certify my loneliness." He winks and laughs a little.

Joey was shocked that she got upset, before realising he'd said all the wrong words. He was trying to be a little bit funny when he said what he had said but realised what it made Izzy think of herself for not being there for him. "Izzy, Izzy... Don't cry..." He wipes the tears from her eyes and kisses her cheek. "Look, it's not your fault, babe. When we first started dating, I know that I'd be spending a lot of time on my own while you're busy. I knew what I was getting myself into and I don't regret any of it. You're the furthest thing from a terrible girlfriend and you're definitely not selfish."

"I'll be better before long... I wouldn't let myself miss Jody growing up, and I'm gonna enjoy you being there with me." Joey smiles. "Besides, I'm not staying here for too long. If worst comes the worst, I'll leave. I don't really wanna be in hospital for too long... Depends on whether I've got any serious damage done or not."

"Alright, Izzy. I promise I'll stay here as long as I need to. Hopefully I won't need to be here too long though. This place will drive me insane." He laughs a little.

"You can use my phone if you want to contact her, I'm sure she'll wanna know how you are." He smiles and grabs his phone from the bedside chair, handing it to Izzy. "Did your phone not make it out of the building then?"

"I'm not gonna lie... I didn't think we were gonna make it out of there alive... We're very lucky, babe." Joey smiles, holding her hand. "I think we'll both feel better after a rest, none of this has done either of us any good."

"I remember most of it... Not all of it though... I remember we were in our room, and like almost from nowhere there was smoke in our room that had come from downstairs. I woke you up and we tried to get out but we couldn't... And that's all I remember."
