Eilidh nods.

"OK. I will do searches on the internet to find out how I can keep her from getting it." She smiles.

"What do you mean? What did you plan?"

Eilidh smiles.

"Oh yeah. That thing. You like that thing too," she giggles.

Eilidh smiles and comes into the room.

"how comes sometimes we use....our mouths. They never said to do that in those sex ed classes in school."

Eilidh thinks hard for a moment..

"Yeah, but....aren't you supposed to do what your told at school?" She comes over and lays down beside Oscar.

"My school liked us to have fun. That's why it had a climbing frame and some soccer balls."

Eilidh relaxes and hugs Oscar. Sometimes she didn't know what he meant by stuff, and sometimes she was scared that he would want someone cleverer than her. But there was one thing she could never doubt.

"I love you, Oscar," she says quietly.

Eilidh cuddles into Oscar. She would never admit it, but although she wanted to feel their relationship was equal, Eilidh thought Oscar was worth way more to her than she was to him. He looked after her and always made sure she was safe. She started to cry softly, trying not to let him hear it. They weren't sad tears, just tears for how lucky she was to have found someone who overlooked the side of Eilidh people had used against her since she was born and loved her for who she was.

She shakes her head.

"No I'm just happy. I'm so lucky to have you. You always look after me." She wipes her tears.

Eilidh nods and holds her arms around him.

"It was just because I was happy. But sad too....because you're smart and sometimes you must be sad to live with someone who is dumb."

Eilidh shakes her head and puts it on his chest. "But I am dumb. I don't even know any stuff."

Eilidh looks up at him. "Are you cross with me now?" She asks. She was always scared Oscar would get fed up of her some day. It was something she feared often.
