I really need some help in writing English songs, I have no trouble in Spanish but In English I do. Any tips?

Think of a theme, then a rhythm, and then think of a few words that rhyme, and bam! Works for me.

I do that, but I need tips how to make your lyrics mean something I mean. What kind of strong words that could be used when writing music in English I know many in Spanish but the translation just sounds weird.

Well think of a theme, then think a strong word relating to that theme, like war=hate or survival, romance-love, or broken (if it's a break up song).

I'm an amateur, but I love writing music. I'm not the greatest at it, but my piano teacher went over some book with me about proper songwriting because my parents couldn't keep their mouths shut about my hobby. Still, my teacher did help me a hell load.

It's harder because in Spanish I can express myself more artistically than I can in English. I'm also used to writing songs in Spanish, and now that I'm trying to write many songs in English I just have trouble finding strong words. Like I have a couple of themes and stuff. I have brainstormed many things and tried to fit them together but I just don't know which strong words to put to make my lyrics a little more complex.

"Our love feels like walking on Broken glass" that is stronger and that's more complex than saying "our love hurts".

You know what I mean, HELP PLEASE! :)

When I write songs, I just randomly sit down and come up with a good tune and add words to it. Then if I can be arsed I write it down, and then if I REALLY like it I might go as far as editing it. Words dont have to be complicated to be meaningful.

It means like, AMAZING. As a prefix anyway.

But seriously, not a usual consideration :P

And my lyrical prowess stems from abusing words bigger than 7 letters and rhyming words which people wouldn't think of, hahah.
