She quickly came to the realization that Alec was extremely different from any other guy she had been with, physically, mentally, and emotionally. She just felt different with him. |

Alec smirks and nods. "There's nothing basic about religion, but yeah, sure... Basic enough..." He smiles, taking it that now it was his turn. "I have a... complex relationship with God. You don't really grow up in Ireland without the idea of God being shoved down your throat 24/7. I'd say I believe in him, but he's not the same God that my parents believed in."

"It's... complicated. Sometimes I think that there's no way God could exist because if he does, he would never let all these horrible things to happen to people... Other times I think he does exist, but he's a total bastard that shouldn't be worshiped. And then other times, the idea of having some greater master of the world who has a plan for everybody and everything is too comforting to ignore..." Alec says back and then sighs. "My parents were very god-fearing, though. If I did anything that went against what the Bible said, my mother would immediately drag me to confession... I don't believe that God is like that. I believe that God just sits up in his little sky castle and watches us... I don't think he really cares if we do anything bad or not. If he did, he wouldn't have created us with flaws. Or he's just a dick..." He shrugs, and chuckles apologetically for his long-winded response.

Alec smiles. Even though they pissed him off sometimes, like all families did occasionally, he loved his family. "I have two sisters, Alannah and Caera. They're twenty-six and twenty-five... or something around there. I never really remember. Both of them are married and have kids, and are constantly asking me when I'm going to do the same..." He rolls his eyes, but is still smiling. "Alannah is an artist... in the loosest sense of the word. Her husband is pretty wealthy, so she can do whatever she wants. Caera is pretty down-to-earth, though. Both of them are good people. Used to be my best friends..." He chuckles, realizing that he just went on and on about his sisters. He was proud of them. "My father left when I was seven or eight. I didn't know him very well. And my mother died a couple years ago..." He sighs and then shakes his head. "Alright, your turn. Your family."

Honor smiles as he talks about his family. She saw that he seemed to love them a lot. When he asked about her family she sighed a little. "Ahh...well....my mom died when I was really young, I don't really remember her, just what everyone tells me about her. I have 2 brothers, Roscoe and Marshall, who you got the awesome burger from." She laughs a little. "They're good guys, really sweet and I'm very protective of them, always have been. Neither have children, they better not, or are married. I have two step-sisters from my dad's new wife...They are 23 and....20, Milly and Katrina. I really, really hate them. We've never gotten along and I have no interest in being their friends. My dad...." She pauses a little, having a blank stare on her face. "I always say after my mom died, he stopped being my father. He cared more about his art, he's an art dealer, and his new wife and new daughters than us. We rarely talk anymore and....I guess that's it." |

Alec wraps her arms around Honor and pulls her closer to him. "Sounds like a regular 21st-century nuclear family..." He says with a small laugh. He kisses her softly. "I am sorry about your parents... When you lose one, it's very easy to lose the other one as well."
