Eva gives Jimmy a funny look and laughs. "Music with guitars and drums. Alright, that narrows it down a bit." She smirks. "Come on, really. Like, punk rock? Or... pop? I don't know."

Eva turns and smiles at him. "I like punk rock, too. Something I can really sink my teeth into, you know what I mean?" She bares her teeth like a growling dog and then laughs.

Eva grins. "I'm in a band. Did I already mention that? We play, like... dance punk." She laughs at how ridiculous it sounds when she says it outloud. "We sound better than it seems like we would, I promise."

Eva shakes her head, laughing a little. "Ah, no. We've just done performances so far. We're not... that cool..." She says back, slowly becoming more and more embarrassed by telling him that. "It's whatever." She walks into the store, holding the door open for Jimmy to follow in behind.

He flicked his cigarette out before he walked into the office. The band and himself had shopped around labels for years to try to find a decent one. But none of them ever seemed to hold his interest for long. So they had done rather successfully on their own as a completely independent DIY artist. Johnny was a big fan of independent labels and that's why they appealed to him. He would adjust his hat as he was let into her office. Not dressed to fancy. Leather jacket, tee shirt, jeans, and sneakers. Then he stretched his legs and got comfortable for a minute. "I guess you got my letter about wanting a contract? You know my band and I have only been on one label since we started. We've done just about everything ourselves. Including funding our own records with a self supporting label. But your label stuck out. Basically because I don't want to be on a corporate organization label. I don't like how they work."

Jimmy enters the store behind Eva, "Well, dance-punk is still pretty popular these days, At least you don't have one of those cliche basement recordings."

Jimmy chuckles awkwardly along with her. Fuck, he didn't think far enough ahead to create a fake occupation for himself. If he introduced himself as the true punk rocker, especially under the title he used, she might be a bit more hostile to him. "Oh, insurance investigation." He answered curtly.

"Oh yeah, it's totally fun." He says as he follows her over to the vinyl section, his hands flipping over old Blood of Wecz and Ryan Ross Hernandez LPs. "In a completely nosy sort of way."

The question almost sent flashbacks to his online argument with the band's frontman almost half a year ago. "Nah, that Scott guy is a bit of a dick."

Jimmy continues flipping, laughing at Eva's joke, "Yeah, heard they've got a new album out though. Still haven't given it a listen."
