Y How many kids have you got Steph? :) Sorry, but I think Sav's parents no more about parenting than either your or me, as neither of us have ever been in that situation (well, I'm guessing you aren't a parent). I am not a parent but I had to babysit almost 24/7 growing up which basically I was taking responsibilities of a parent. In college I have learned many things about parenting, and all the info that I am telling you is from what I learned in college mixing in some of my opinion. While I don't want to belittle what you've done, babysitting is entirely different from the actual parenting. |

Y but when i say "friend", i mean metaphorically speaking. of course you won't be hanging out with your dad and go and smoke some weed with him. i mean you of course have to be respectful to them, but also have a good relationship so you won't need to find what your parents can't give you emotionally and psychologically in other places, like i said before. i have respect for my parents, but i can't talk to them like they were my friends, with the add that they lived a lot more than me and know much about a lot of things that i don't. so sometimes is better ask for my parents' word that a friend's word. Then your using the wrong term, you should be using the term "Parent". The whole you talk to your parents like they are your friends is crap. If you had sex with someone your willing to be more detailed with your friend than your parent (if you do tell them that stuff, which by the way Is weird). firstly, i don't usually give details of my sexual life because is something between me and my girlfriend. but, yes, my parents know it because i told them. so what? do you have a problem with it? i don't think it's weird at all. i think is actually better than be unable to tell your parents about it. telling them gets my parents talking me about their experiences and teaching me on what i have to do or what i don't have to do. and don't say again that what i say is a "lie" or "crap", because it offends me, and i can offend you with harder stuff. please apologise to me. |

Listen tittle boy, I had to change diapers, Cook meals, and wash clothes and make sure Genesis and Jennifer followed the rules. That's pretty much being like a parent ok! There were a lot of years where my mom worked two jobs one at the hotel and one at Ross (clothing store) so she can at least let us have a simple Christmas. It was hard and I had to suck it up and deal with it. I hated it but now I thank my mom because now I can understand single mothers more.

Steph. Shut up. You come in here acting like you're omnipotent and you really aren't. Cam is MUCH smarter than you and maybe if you shut your ignorant mouth and listened to him for once, you'd learn something. |

There is no debate with you, because if someone has a different opinion than yours you go crazy on them and tell them they're lying. |

Like I said, wasn't trying to belittle you, just saying that's different. Yeah, a parent has to do all of that. But there's so much more to it. Being a parent isn't just about discipline for example. There's not one correct way to be a parent, many different things work for many different families. |

I did do more than half of what a parent had to do and that's good enough. For example, many times I couldn't be a kid or a teen because I had to baby sit. Music was the only thing that helped.
