Alec smirks. "What, the free food you get here isn't enough?" He asks with a grin, shaking his head. "All the food, none of the drama, and your sex isn't videotaped and shown on live TV. I'm telling you, you have it better than the people on this show. And most of the people in the world." Speaking of food, Alec was hungry, so he gets up and walks into the kitchen grabbing some grapes, and then coming back to the couch. He nods and shrugs. "Blogging is more of a hobbitunity for me, too. It just sounds better to tell people I'm a professional blogger than a professional student. 'Student' makes me feel like I'm living in a frat house filled with Pabst Blue Ribbon cans and a guy named T-Bone."

"My pasta is a gift from the gods. You'll realize that soon enough," Alec says back with a grin as he pops another grape into his mouth. "Oh, pet, you do like drama, no matter how much you try to deny it. It would just be even hated for you to deny liking it once you go on a reality show based around drama." He winks and sighs, leaning back. "Uh, no, I was not in a fraternity. I went to Juilliard. The people that attended there were a bit more high-class than that." Actually, some of the things that he did or witnessed while going to school there could put some of the frat guys at Penn State to shame, but Juilliard was based around a certain kind of upperclass people, and Alec would hate to be the one to tarnish their good name to the outside world.

Alec raises his eyebrow and then shakes his head. "Fine. You can cook for now on then," he says back simply, his grin becoming more smug than anything else. He pops another grape in his mouth and nods. He could think of several instances when Honor invited drama into her life with open arms, but he wasn't exactly ready to start that argument again. "I will admit that it's entertaining to watch somebody suffer from their poor choices, especially when they do it with little to no grace," he says back with a nod and a all smirk. "There's a difference between snobbery and classiness. A big difference. Some people there were just happy that they no longer had to share a bed with their siblings anymore. Juilliard wasn't the type of place that you could just buy an acceptance letter to - you had to earn it, and you had to be better than anybody else. I'm sorry that other people's successes piss you off so much that you have to label them as stuck up snobs." He rolls his eyes.

"Almost each night?" Alec says with a laugh. "Are you planning on doing a piss-poor job the other nights? Just to make sure you put me in my place?" He chuckles and winks. He shrugs as he watches Honor get up and leave, not even trying to cover the act that he was watching her behind as she walked. "Look, I'm just saying that if somebody chooses to make poor decisions and it comes back to bite them later, I don't exactly feel bad for them. I don't expect anybody to feel bad for me when my bad decisions kick my ass later," he calls to her from the living room and then watches her as she comes back. "No, I'm not angry. Sorry. I just don't think you should judge the unnamed amount of people that I'm friends with, you know what I mean? And you lumped me into your group of stuck-up snobs, and maybe I am a snob, but leave people you don't know out of this. The difference between your friends and my friends is that your friends are constantly in the tabloids and on Twitter, practically bragging about their coke addictions and random hookups, while my friends are ballet dancers and violinists for the New York Symphony. See, I know that my ballet dancer friend is bulimic, and I know that my violinist friend is an alcoholic, and I know that my friend who is an author is just out of rehab a sex addiction. But you would never know it just by meeting them. See, that's what class is, Honor. Having problems, but not letting them become who you are." He shakes his head.

Alec immediately feels awful about his rant. He would have preferred Honor argue with him than just seem to calmly accept what he had said. He knew that that didn't mean he won the argument - if there was any winning of it - but Alec was starting to wish that he had never said anything in the first place. He believed ever word of his rant, but that didn't mean that he had to say it to a woman that he cared about so callously. "I love you. I'm sorry. That was rude of me to say," he says softly, wrapping his arm around Honor and pulling her close to him. "I think it might bore you, pet. It's not exactly the most exciting topic to most people."

Alec gives Honor a small smile and kisses her back. "You're too good to me, pet," he says back with a little wink and a smirk. "Um... okay. In America and Canada and the UK, people are more open to psychotherapy and psychopharmacology, and anything linking to those subsets of psychology, like music therapy. Music therapy is used mainly for people who are highly emotionally disturbed, like people who are a high suicide risk, and who are suffering from PTSD, more speficially military figures who were in heavy combat. Music therapy 'soothes their demons,' to quote Plato, one of the leaders and founders in music therapy." He takes a breath. "Now, the only things that follow through every culture is food appreciation and music appreciation. My paper is the hypothetical study on if in cultures, like on China and India, where psychology and therapy is less accepted, would treatments like music therapy still be a viable option." He takes another breath and laughs a little. "See? Boring."

Alec laughs a little as well and nods. "It's a difficult paper, especially when I have absolutely no desire to travel to China or India to see if I have any basis to my claims. That's why it's a hypothetical study. I'm having to learn about a subsect of psychology that isn't very well researched to try to support a claim that has little to no substantial proof. In a court of law, my claims would never stand up. I guess I'm just glad that this is a paper for class and not something I presenting to a conference."

"Being a lawyer involves too much work and much more school. I can assure you that I have no desire at all to become a lawyer," Alec says back, shaking his head. He runs his fingers in and out of Honor's hair softly, listening to her. As much fun as he thought it would be to go traveling with Honor, he would feel intrusive watching her model, just like he would feel that she was being intrusive if she watched him write a paper or go to class or anything like that. "Yeah... yeah, maybe," he says back with a small smile and a nod.

Alec looks up at the screen and laughs a little. "Alright, I remember hearing about this season... When do those two chicks start hooking up? When does that happen?" He asks, seeming to be much more interesting in the show than before. "What? Ordering Chinese? No, pet, I do believe you promised me a dinner almost each night. You're going to give up to Chinese take out already?"

Alec grins a little and nods. "Fine then. Chinese and wine it is," he says as he gets up and goes to the kitchen, looking through his wine rack. "If we're doing Chinese takeout, it's going to be the cheap wine. White Zinfandel cheap. I'm not drinking any of the good stuff on overcooked fried rice," he call from the kitchen.
