Alec comes back into the living room with two wine glasses and a bottle, setting all three down on the coffee table in front of them. "I'll just have the chicken fried rice. I'm not that hungry. I'll probably eat half of it tonight and the other half for lunch tomorrow," he tells her as he begins to pour the wine. He had picked some of the more expensive wine anyway, even though he didn't think Honor would notice. He enjoyed surreptitiously spoiling her.

"Okay." Honor smiled a little as she places the order on her phone and then sits back as he pours the wine. "I think I'm gonn head to Vegas this weekens and grab the rest of the stuff to get settled in. I have so much to pack, ugh." She grabs her glass and takes a sip of her wine. Alec picks up his glass of wine and puts one arm around Honor, kissing the top of her head lightly before taking a sip of wine. "Yeah? You want me to come out there as well? Help you out?" He asks, getting comfortable on the couch. "Yeah, it's not. I thought we could splurge a little." He winks and grins at her.

Alec laughs. "I'll come out and help, just to be safe." He gives a little smirk and then a sigh. Alec
looks at the wine in his glass, spinning it around a little. "Addicted to wine? I believe there's a name for that..." He says softly, trying to sound like he was joking, but a little worried that Honor might be hinting at the fact that she thinks he's an alcoholic.

Alec smirks a little and shakes his head, trying to pretend that he wasn't a little worried about becoming an alcoholic. "If I were going to be an alcoholic, I'd prefer to be an alcoholic with you. You know, lit up on some rooftop terrace in Paris, smoking cigarette and drinking all day. There they don't care if you're an alcoholic. You're just normal if you're an alcoholic there." "What's more beautiful than two people living a life fully dedicated to giving into their vices?" Alec asks softly, with a small laugh. It sounded like he was being facetious, but he was actually being completely serious. He loved that future for them. He sighs a little when Honor asks what's been up with him. A few opportunities had come up for him, but he never really talked about them with Honor. The opportunities didn't seem like Honor's idea of fun, and he didn't want her to think he was boring. Or even more boring than she already did. "I was offered a teaching position at UCLA," he tells her with a shrug. "Not sure if I'm going to take it yet."

"Oh, I thought being naked the entire time was implied," Alec says back with a grin, leaning over to her and giving her a long, soft kiss. He lets out a small chuckle and takes another sip of his wine. "Yeah, you'd be sleeping with a teacher. That's kind of why I didn't tell you." He chuckles a little bit more, this time the laugh seeming a bit more forced. "I'm sure a college professor boyfriend is exactly what ever model wants, right?" His voice is dripping with sarcasm as he finishes the glass of wine and then pours himself another one. "It'd be nice, but that means that it would probably take me even longer to finish the degree that I'm working on now. I'll just have to weigh my options for a little bit. See what else comes up."

She could tell that Alec was obviously insecure about his life as compared to Honor, which she felt he didn't need to be. Honor didn't care what type of job he had or if he was in school, that didn't matter to her. She was dating him, not what he liked. "Alec, you don't need to be some...celebrity or anything to impress me. You're doing something meaningful with your life. You're in school, you have the chance to be a teacher, that's incredible. You shouldn't try to stack yourself up against me. I'd still be with you if you worked at McDonald's." She kissed his cheek. "Well, it's your choice in the end but don't let it be because you think I wouldn't approve." |

Sammy pulls up outside Melva's place and turns off the engine to his car. He quickly ruffles his ginger hair and gets out of his car.
He walks to the front door and knocks loudly before stepping back and shivering. |

He smiles as she opens the door, he moves forward and gives her a quick kiss before moving into the warmth of her home.
"I'm sorry I'm so late, been doing all my packing. I'm off to Australia tomorrow night! I can't belie how quick it's come around!"
After she's closed the door he goes and gives her a big hug. "I'm sorry I've not been able to see you much recently darling. How are you?" |
