Katie looks around the rather trendy surroundings and smiles. "Renting? It's just as well you're rich. I imagine this would set you back a bit." She ruffles her own hair with her fingertips. "Yeah I know what you mean. I don't even really like our house. But Hayden loves it. Boys and their expensive things, huh?" She smiles and shakes her head before narrowing her eyes a little. Perhaps she shouldn't have mentioned wedding planning in front of Nadia. "Yeah...I guess, so," she says apologetically. Katie walks into the living room and waits for Nadia. "Wine it is then," she says with a little chuckle. "Just as long as we don't end up in bed like last time." She smiles when Nadia comes back. "Lucas? Oh, he's doing great. He's getting so big now. Ah just ignore Hayden. He's...suspicious or whatever. I don't know why." She shrugs. "Don't worry about him though.

"I'm just glad he doesn't have some insane fast car to go off and kill himself in," Katie says, rolling her eyes and lifting the wine from the table. Katie smiles a little at Nadia. It was hard not to fee excited about her wedding, but she made a mental note not to mention it today, not when Nadia needed her help. She tries to suppress her laugh at the thought of them on the bus, but she can't help but laugh out loud. "Yeah.....I was pretty mad that he wrote that about you. I mean...he could have spoken to me about it. I don't even know what he's worried about." She meant it as well. Katie trusted Nadia 100% straight away, and she couldn't grasp why anyone else wouldn't. "He'll be fine though. I'll talk you up," she says with a wink, smiling wryly over her glass. "Awwww, you're sweet Nads. Thank you." She takes a drink and pauses for a moment, aware that one of them was going to have to address the elephant in the room. "So....how are you?" she asks nervously.

"Ugh, don't you go putting any ideas in his head," Katie says, rolling her eyes, jokingly. "That's all I need, a dead Merjos on my hands." She giggles and then sighs a little. It was difficult to have her best friend and her fiancee at loggerheads, especially when she wanted Nadia as her maid of honour. She had no idea how Hayden would react to that. "I'll talk to him, Nads. I want to. The least he could do is be civil to my secret lover," she giggles, referencing the nickname she used to call Nadia. "Yeah, I trust you totally. People have fights all the time. The important thing is that we worked it all out and I have my best friend again," she says with an honest and happy smile. She really loved having Nadia back in her life. She had always been important to her. When Nadia starts to talk, Katie sits forward in her seat to listen intently. When she hears Izzy's name, she smiles a little, making a mental note that the three should hang out soon. But her smile quickly fades when she hears the whole story. She shakes her head, scarcely able to believe what she's hearing. "Little fucking bitch," she says involuntarily before bringing her hand to her mouth. "What the hell? Surely...Izzy did that? Are you sure, Nads?"

"Well if he's getting a fast car, he better believe he's wearing a damn helmet!" Katie laughs, shrieking when Nadia pokes her. She nods. She wanted things to work out so Nadia and Hayden could be friends, but she knew Hayden better than anyone, and that didn't seem likely. "He has to change his mind. I have my ways," she giggles, budging Nadia playfully. "I just want him to like you." Katie smiles when Nadia mentions their tour. "Yeah those were fun days. Sometimes I wake up and I miss being on a bed that's rocking back and forward on the open road." She chuckles. "We had some real fun though. I learned so much from you too!" She smiles softly. That tour had also been where it all went wrong between Nadia and she, and Katie had never quite worked out why, but she didn't want to bring it up now. She was just happy to have her friend around again. It made her smile. She shakes her head as she listens to Nadia tell her story. She couldn't believe someone seemingly sweet like Izzy would be such a bitch to Nadia. "That's....that's just fucking horrible. I thought she was your friend! I mean... I thought she was a nice girl as well. Guess not...What sort of person dates their friend's ex? She's sick in the head. Did you hit her?"

"I have to. We didn't get any life insurance policies yet," Katie jokes, winking at Nadia. She smiles and looks across at her friend as she thinks over the whole Hayden fiasco and trying to get those two to be nice to each other. She couldn't really see any way Hayden would drop his beef with Nadia, but it was worth trying. "I can try," she says softly, not hopefully. "Really? I always felt like it was much more relaxing to be rocked to sleep by the motorway. Lucas slept so well on the bus as well," she smiles. "Not like now when he's always up and wandering around the house." Katie giggles. As she tries to take in the whole of the story, Katie keeps going to speak and then shaking her head. Izzy had always been so sweet to her, and that she would do something like this just seemed so evil. "You don't....think she had it planned all along...no...that's crazy, right?" she almost didn't want to believe Izzy might have had some ulterior motive all along, but she couldn't shake the thought. Katie mirrors Nadia and takes a drink. "You really should have hit her. Was she sorry? Or was she like trying to make herself feel better by "coming clean"? I know that type." She shakes her head and then seems to get really annoyed. "Seriously...what a little fucking slut."

Katie smiles when Nadia pours her more wine. She wasn't much of a drinker these days. Not since the times when she had gone a bit crazy in her younger days, but she didn't mind a glass or two when relaxing like this. Besides, she knew Nadia would always look after her and never steer her wrong. She always saw her as a protective sister almost, as well as a true friend. She shakes her head. "He was not. He was making little digs on Twitter. I believe the kids call it 'dropping shade' these days." Katie laughs. She was still only 21, but she had never been 'cool' or up with current trends. "But he'll be fine. Can't stay mad at me forever." She smirks. "Same here. I could never stay on the road that long. I start to go a bit...." she raises her eyes and indicates the way she went a bit crazy in the past on tour. It had always been her biggest weakness, and only Nadia and Hayden had helped her through the last one with her sanity. She thinks about Izzy again and sighs, shaking her head. "If she did that...seriously what a bitch." She laughs at her "good intentions". "Oh yeah. I'm sure she was sorry. Not sorry enough not to go out with him though right? Not sorry enough to say "no, my friend is more important to me." I have half a mind to go tell her what I think when I get back west." Katie looks really mad at Izzy for a moment, until she hears the sad tone in Nadia's voice. She looks up and puts her hand on Nadia's arm. "Hey...don't worry Nads. You don't need assholes like her and Ryan in your life. I'm sure you'll find someone much better for yourself soon enough." She gently rubs her arm as if to reassure her.

"Just ignore him. I'll have a word with him when I get home. I don't know what his issue is sometimes." She shakes her head, a little embarrassed at Hayden's attitude and the way he had treated Nadia. "Yeah. He's normally so bold with his opinions as well. Feel free to call him out," Katie says, sticking her tongue out at Nadia and giggling. It was nice to have someone like Nadia around, who Katie could be totally herself and at ease with. She had missed it when they had been not talking. She smiles softly and nods. "Yeah, I guess we both had those little moments earlier in our careers, huh? We overcame them though, Nads." She smiles. "To strong women!" she calls, holding her glass up for a toast. Katie laughs a little when Nadia mentions Hayden again. She hadn't even really thought about that connection between her and Isabel. "Oh God....I bet he takes her side as well. I won't care. She's a little slutbag and she deserves it," Katie says with a shrug that gives her an air of Mean Girls never seen in Katie before. She looks over and gives Nadia a reassuring smile. It was at times like this she was really glad they had found each other again, and that she could help Nadia. "You've not been stupid at all. She has. She lost you, and that's her loss, not yours." She seems quite taken aback at Nadia's surprise though. Katie very rarely surfed the web with how busy she had been lately, so she had no idea what Nadia meant. "Mark...? No. Who's Mark?" she asks with a little chuckle, taking a drink of her wine.

Katie smiles a little, feeling sad that Hayden had treated Nadia in such a way that she would feel like giving up. Her wedding wouldn't be the same if her husband and best friend weren't talking, but she knew how stubborn Hayden could be over things like this. "I guess he'll need to learn to like you anyway," Katie shrugs. "Can't have the groom and the maid of honour fighting on the big day!" she giggles a little. She didn't really know how to ask Nadia, so slipping it in like that seemed like the most logical step to her. "You're right. I think it always helped to have someone who knew what I was going through." She smiles and nods in agreement. "Me too. When we were on that bus and not talking....god, that was awful. Even Lucas was sad. He missed aunt Nads." Katie takes a drink and then almost chokes laughing when Nadia calls Izzy a slut. "I guess so....ugh. We'll buy all the male guests pepper spray to stop her humping them," Katie giggles. "No problem. I always got your back, Nadia. You wouldn't believe the number of people who tried to get me to say things against you in the last year. Relentless, they were." She shakes her head. The media attention around their falling out had been almost scary to Katie, who was largely a private person. When Nadia mentions Mark Talley, Katie's eyebrows raise and a smile breaks out across her face. She had no clue Nadia was even dating. "Oh wow! Really? you kept that one quiet! How's it going? How long? Oh God, I have so many questions." She claps her hands excitedly.

Katie nods a little and laughs. "I don't know why, but now I have this image in my head of you two sitting at a little table and enjoying a little tea party or something." She laughs and then sighs. It seemed unlikely they would see eye-to-eye, but Katie was still an eternal optimist. "I'll keep my fingers crossed, Nads," she smiles. When Nadia reacts to her request, Katie's heart sinks a little. She didn't want anything to stop Nadia from being beside her at her wedding. She sighs and looks Nadia in the eyes. "Please. I know...I know it wouldn't be easy if she was there, but there is no one else in the world I would want stood up there with me. You mean the world to me Nadia, and I love you and I would love that more than anything." She pouts a little and gives Nadia the puppy dog eyes. She laughs when she calls Isabel a filthy creature. Katie shakes her head slowly. "I'm honestly still in shock about that. I can't believe for a second she thought that would even be slightly ok." She nods in agreement and takes a long drink. "I know. I just told them it was between you and I and that they wouldn't be able to get anything out of me." She smiles. "They don't give up easily though. Notice how they're not so keen to know how we made up though. Arseholes," she giggles. "Damn...we could have been the next Gaga and Kelly Osbourne," Katie laughs. "Oh you did? I think that proves how bad I am with technology once and for all, huh? God, I'm sorry Nads, I didn't even hear a thing about it." She smiles widely when Nadia talks about her new relationship. "Sounds amazing! I never met him....but he's gorgeous," Katie winks. "I never expected you to go for a toy boy though Nads. such a player!" she jokes.

Katie giggles a little and shakes her head. "I can imagine Nads. I reckon it would be five minutes of niceties followed by an hour of you two hiding behind chairs and throwing chocolate digestives at each other." She sighs. "I wish it wasn't like that though. You two are my favourite people in the world. And Lucas." She smiles. Katie listens to Nadia's reasoning over the maid of honour decision. She knew it wasn't going to be easy for her to be there with the way both Hayden and Isabel felt about Nadia, but Katie could not think of a single person she would have there that would even come close to being as important as Nadia. "Ok, Nads. Please, though, please know that you would be totally welcome and that I would love for you to be there more than anything in the world." Katie shakes her head again when they mention Izzy. "I guess she had us all fooled. She's obviously not the person that any of us thought. If anyone was going to do that to their friend, she'd be like the last person I would think of." part of katie wanted to phone Izzy and just ask her why, but she knew if Nadia hadn't got any answers there was no way she would. She allows a wry smile when Nadia mentions her wedding again, nodding a little, but not wanting to rub the wedding in her face. "Yeah...it's a stress, I can tell you." She beams again at the mention of Mark. "And he's a lucky guy! How did you even meet. I never would have put you with someone like him. He seems too quiet for one of pop's biggest stars." Katie winks and then growls at the word cougar. "That's you nads. Always on the prowl," she jokes, sticking her tongue out. "I'm so glad you're happy. You deserve more than anyone to have someone that respects you and treats you well." She smiles.
