Kai had just gotten back to London after a little promo tour to LA, during which he had been visiting friends, one of whom was Serenity Scott. He was tired after a long flight, so he decided to forego the pub and just head to his apartment when he got off the plane. As the taxi pulls up out front, he looks out at the rain. "Good to be home..." he mutters before climbing out and running to the door. When he gets inside, he yawns and puts his bag down, stretching himself out and falling onto the couch. He takes a crumpled pack of cigs from his pocket and lights one before laying back and blowing a puff of smoke into the dark and quite depressing apartment.

With jetlag seemingly catching up on him very quickly, Kai is on his couch starting to doze off, despite the fact he still has a cigarette hanging out of his mouth. He was glad to be home, where there was less drama, less worry and less of the sticky warm weather that really wasn't winter at all. He's just starting to fall into a sleep when he hears a soft voice calling out his name. Thinking it's in his dream, he smiles a little which causes the cig to fall onto him and burn his shoulder. "Fucker!" he yells as he sits up like a bolt. "Shit..." he says as he stamps the cig out on the carpet. When he hears the voice again, he groans and rubs his eyes, standing and walking like a zombie to the door. When he opens it, he is surprised to see Faith. The soft voice sounded nothing like her at all. He smiles. "Browdy! nice to see you babe. What's up?" He leans forward and kisses her before stepping aside to let her come in.

Kai immediately notices something weird about the way Faith greets him. Why did she jump? He shakes his head and dismisses it as she comes in. He closes the door and walks behind her, thinking all is well. He was glad Faith was here again. The visit to the USA had brought up some weird feelings with Serenity, and he was happy to have his girl here again. The only girl he loved. He was sure that her being here would make him see that she was the only one he loved. He follows her to the couch, stretching again before he sits down and reaches into the little chest fridge beside the couch, pulling out two beers. He hands her one and makes a funny face when she questions him. Was she doubting something? Clearly so, but why? He narrows his eyes. "Of course I meant it, love. Come on, I'm hardly the sort of guy to throw around the L word left right and centre." He sits up and kisses her again. "You know I love you, Browdy. You're my girl," he says with a smile, trying to dismiss the sensation he was getting that something was up.

Kai is just starting to take a drink of his beer when Faith drops the bombshell of a question. He never imagined that she would find out about his meeting with Serenity. Never imagined this sort of thing would catch up with him. He feels a jolt of fear in his stomach and he slowly brings the bottle down. "What?" He asks softly. "What are you even talking about?" Kai asks again. If nothing else, he wanted to buy himself some time to think.

Kai sees the look on Faith's face change immediately and he knows that she knows something. What she knows, he can't be sure, but clearly she knows he has been up to no good. He dips his head before taking another long drink from his bottle. When she moves away, his eyes follow her across the room. He blinks slowly and listens to her as she calls him out, now sounding more confident. He knew he was not going to get away with this. But this was Kai Rollins. There was no way he would give up. Not without a fight. He coughs and lights a cigarette. "Met her for a chat," he says with a dismissive shrug. "Why? Have you been spying on me or something?" Kai was clearly on the defensive now.

Drama. It was everything that Kai had always laughed at other people in relationships for in the past, yet here he was, really living it. Faith was starting to get more annoyed, and it was all his fault. What could he say though? Self preservation came naturally to guys like Kai, but this went deeper. He didn't want to lose Faith. "Oh really? Convenient," he says quietly. "And what did your waitress tell you then? What did I supposedly do, Browdy?" He shakes his head. When she starts to mention Honor, and then brings up Erica, he sits down again, putting his head in his hands. "Fuck Honor. Seriously, fuck her, she's nothing, Faith. I told you I loved you and I fucking mean that. Fuck that little Japanese cunt as well. She doesn't have a clue." He stands and starts to pace nervously. This was a new sensation to Kai - fear. "A replacement? No. Am I the sort of guy who needs replacements, Browdy? No. I'm the sort of guy who has what he wants. Always. And what do I want? I want you. If you can't see that then I don't know...it's just...it's the truth. I don't want you to be anyone but Faith."

As much as Faith was clearly very upset, Kai himself was also starting to get really frustrated. He wasn't used to this sort of issue. He had never really argued with someone he loved before. In his mind, he didn't see how Faith could doubt him, even if he had complimented Serenity. He looks at her crying and brings his hands to his own head, pressing his temples. "I have no right? No right for what? She sent me a message on Twitter. She was telling me stuff about how she was confused so I agreed to meet her to sort it." He starts to pace again. Suddenly he didn't know where to put his hands so he stuffed them in his pockets. "You know what? Yes, I complimented her. Ok? But for fuck's sake Faith, you think I would be with you if I really wanted anyone else? I had a choice of women, remember? Remember? And what did I do? I fucking chose you!" It was that simple to Kai. He didn't realise why she was upset. "I love you more than anyone ever. I love your body more than anyone else's. No one else is even close. No one compares to you at all. Don't you see that, Faith?"

Kai sighs and scratches his head. He exhales loudly and shakes his head. "She was confused because she and I nearly slept together just before I got with you. She thought I had wanted more from her." he starts to pace back and forth nervously, feeling sure faith is ready to leave him. That was the last thing he wanted. "Sure I could have told her on the phone, but she's...I just thought it would be clearer to meet her face to face." Kai nervously bites his lip. "Please Faith. Please believe me here. I don't want any other girl, babe. I only want you. That Kai is gone. Dead. This is YOUR Kai. I only want You." as she asks to read his phone, Kai feels a little nervous. But he holds his hands up. "If that's what it takes. If that's what you need." he never pictured Faith as the sort to want to read His DMs, but he understood why she did. He takes his phone from his jeans and places it on the table near to her. "There. Feel free," he says quietly before sitting back down.
