OOC: Sorry, fell asleep last night :P

Kai was suddenly acutely aware that something had taken a real change in his mindset right now. For him, the attitude had always been that if something was hard, it wasn't worth it. But this was worth it. This time he wanted to fight - for the first time in his life he was scared he would lose someone he loved. He bows his head when she says she can't trust him. "Faith.....there was something between she and I, and I guess part of the reason I wanted to meet her was to try and figure out where my mind was. And you know what I realised? You are the only one I have feelings for. Not her. That's all in the past. Fuck, Faith, I love you so fucking much I can barely believe it." He feels a few tears welling up in his eyes. Was he really going to lose her? When she sits down and then folds her arms across her chest, he paces again and listens to her. He's surprised to see her shove the phone away without reading it. Her crying cuts through Kai like a knife. He never wanted to cause her any pain - another way he had changed since meeting her. When she questions him, he nods and kneels in front of her, taking Faith's hands gently in his and looking up at her as she sits on the couch. "I promise. On my life. I will never cheat on you. Let me prove it to you. I'll prove it no matter what it takes. I'll give you a key, I'll give you a ring, no matter what it takes, I just fucking love you and I need you, Faith. I promise I won't ever cheat on you."

He nods when she asks if he knew how it would hurt her. "I know. I know, Faith. I'm a horrible person and I never intended for it to hurt you, I swear. I just wanted to sort it so I could move on from the stupid crap with her. I should have told you, though." He takes a deep breath as he tries to compose himself. "I'm sorry." That was it. The first time Kai had apologised to anyone in his adult life. It was hard enough for him to admit that he was wrong, but to apologise? This was a different animal altogether, and it sounded alien even to him. But he meant it. He really was sorry for hurting her. He bows his head. The thought of losing Faith had never occurred to him until today, but now that it was a threat, a real danger, it terrified him and he realised just how much he really did love her. As he holds her hands, he nods slowly, staring into her eyes. "No more secrets," he repeats, drawing a cross over his heart with his finger. "I promise. I won't keep anything from you again. I just....I just love you so fucking much, Faith." He bows his head again, allowing it to rest on her knee as he squeezes her hand, afraid to let her go.

Kai allows himself to sink into Faith's arms when she sits on the floor with him. He wraps his arms tightly around her, almost like he was scared if he didn't hold her she might just get up and leave. He was truly, for the first time in his entire life, in love with someone, and even though he thought that left him open and vulnerable, he trusted Faith with his heart. He plants a gentle kiss on her neck as they hold each other tightly. He smiles a little when she says she loves him. "I meant it, the apology," he says softly. "I'm glad we're gonna be ok, babe. Fuck knows what I would do if you weren't around anymore." He pulls her a little closer. "I know I fuck up sometimes, but thank you for sticking with me. I don't want to ever let you go."

Kai relaxes a little as Faith does, when she starts to light her cigarette and sits back against the couch, he scratches his head and shakes it a little. "Honestly? I don't think I would be okay without you. Things are different now. I always thought I was untouchable and totally free of feelings. Turns out I'm not. If I didn't have you, I'd be lost." He shrugs. It was the truth. He takes the cig from her mouth and takes a long drag before he puts it back between her lips with a little smile. "I know. I love you too. More than even I knew until today." He nods and smiles at her. "I won't hurt you, babe. I won't. I promise."

Kai smiles at Faith. He was glad things were better now, even if he wasn't sure she 100 per cent believed him yet. He couldn't blame her really. It was natural for her to have issues trusting him after all of the things he had done to her in the past. But he was determined this time to prove himself to her. When she lays her head on his shoulder, he kisses her neck gently. "No. There won't be any secrets. Not with you having friends all over the place," he teases. "Seriously, I won't keep anything from you, babe." He holds her close.

Kai smiles. "I guess I underestimated the world's top secret agent girlfriend," Kai jokes with her, kissing her on the forehead. When she moves closer, he relaxes a little. For the first time, he felt like everything might be ok between them and that she wouldn't leave after all. "It's ok. Once I realised what I did was wrong, I thought I owed it to you to tell you the truth," he nods. "I don't want to be an ass all the time, after all." He takes a beer from her and tries to open it with his teeth. "Fail again," he chuckles. "Hanukkah? I never knew you were Jewish. What does a person get for Hannukah? We don't really celebrate it in the UK/I don't know any Jewish people."

"Are you sure that's Batman, Browdy? That sounds like the Pink Panther to me," he jokes, winking at her. "Yeah sure you can be Batman. Does that make me Robin?" he laughs. "We should stop before this turns into some weird kinky sex game." Kai nods and smiles a little. "I am partial to a bit of being an ass. I'll keep it Browdy free in the future though." he laughs. "I'll just be an ass to people like....Erica. What a Cunt." Kai takes a cigarette from her and lights it. "See now the problem is I don't know if you're being serious about being Jewish or not, love," he laughs. "What's a sufga....suf...that word? I'll buy you 8 presents and take part though. You never know, one of those 8 presents might be that ring I promised," he jokes.

Kai laughs and looks across at her with one eyebrow raised. "I think I'd rather be your manservant," he says with a wink. "I feel like you'd be much more comfortable in control." He laughs and pretends to spank himself on the ass. When she shoves him, he grabs her and playfully tackles her so they're both laid on the floor. "You know....I do give off that impression. I'm not racist though. Just the two Japanese women I happen to know just turned out to be wankers." He laughs. "Cheers, love. Free cigs always taste better," he says with a little wink. "I'll take your word for being Jewish then. If you're not, I'll feel betrayed," Kai jokes. "What would be awkward abiut being proposed to in Hanukkah? Is it not the done thing?" He didn't really intend on proposing to her, so he didn't know why he was joking about it. He puts his hands behind his head and blows a large puff of smoke into the air. "Relaxing down here, innit?"

"Too right. I've lost count of the number of times you've left me quivering in the corner with a sore arse," he jokes. When she straddles him, Kai looks up at her and sees a familiar look in her eyes. "I like when you pull that face," he winks. "Normally means something good." He puts his arms around her waist. He was glad they were able to be like this with each other again, given that earlier he thought she would rather tear his face off than look at him. "Really? Invite them over," he says jokingly. "Is Mario the one with the big nose? The one you fucked? The Erica one is just...I don't know. She's just creepy." He smiles at her and pulls her down for a kiss. "That's true. It would be like fuckin' Eastenders. Bad shit always happens on The Square at Christmas. I guess a proposal would be one of those bad things," he laughs. "I'll wait til January," he winks, patting her ass.

Kai smiles at her. "Be as violent as you want love. But I have to draw the line at putting anything in my arse. That is just not happening." He winks. He imagined that Faith could be quite angry in the bedroom if she wanted to be. Not that he thought she would try to hurt him, just that she would try her best to get her frustrations ironed out. He closes his eyes when she kisses him and then shakes his head when she climbs off him, immediately recognising this game. "It's like that is it?" he jokes, propping himself up on the edge of the couch. "I'll remember that one, Browdy," he teases her. It was nice to have someone he was so comfortable around. Kai had never had that in the past. "I know yeah. It's not a Japanese nose at all. I suppose she might be hot in the right light. Pitch black I mean." He cackles to himself and lights another cigarette, yawning. "Yeah, right, Browdy. I see your game. If I take you up there, you'll just leap off when I propose. You ain't getting out of this that easy, love." He laughs and takes a long slow drag.
