The Final Chapter

Death metal icons and veterans Blood of Wecz have released details of their final tour before splitting up. The now two-piece outfit consisting of long term best friends Mark Talley and Scott Rose Hilton released In Renatum, the band's fifteenth studio album later this year, before revealing they would be doing one last world tour before they decided to call it a day. Starting on November 20th, the tour will span just over a month, with the band going out on a high by playing some of the largest stadiums and open spaces to be found anywhere in the world. Each show will consist of a greatest hits show from the band as they round off one of the most eventful and colourful - not to mention controversial - music careers of all time.

The tour will kick off with a concert in the adopted homeland of Blood of Wecz at New York's MetLife Stadium on November 20th, before sweeping quickly across America and Canada. Afterwards, it will take in parts of the eastern world, including Japan and Australia, before coming to a close in the most successful territory for Blood of Wecz throughout their lengthy career - Europe. The tour will culminate in 2 massive 120,000 capacity shows in London's Hyde Park, before a farewell to the country of Scott's birth, Scotland, at Edinburgh Castle on December 29th. Finally, the tour will draw into the 200 capacity Cave at Leeds University. This, the setting of the first ever Blood of Wecz live show in 1998, will book end the career of one of metal's biggest bands perfectly, allowing Mark Talley to set off on his growing solo career, and Scott to retire into fatherhood.

Tickets for all shows go on sale on Friday, and are expected to sell fast, so get there early!

Throughout November and December, death metal's icons will be joined by goth rock hero LILY ABBOTT, a long-term friend of Scott Rose Hilton. The band are also delighted to announce that main support throughout the tour will be provided by the hottest band in the world - the up and coming legends of tomorrow PURE.

Scott Rose Hilton said: "Having Lily come out with us is top top class. I've known the girl for a number of years, and she is one of the best rock artists around. She's been a great friend to me over the years as well. To have her out with us on our last ever run will be nice. It's been too long that we have collaborated and worked together without ever having been on the same tour, so it's definitely time to rectify that. I look forward to it, it'll be great fun, and I know Lily - she will bring it every night. Make sure you get there early to see that girl tear up the stage.

Mark Talley said: I think if someone said we would have an act like PURE on this tour, I'd have told them to fuck off. I mean, they are like easily the fastest rising act in the world right now. Their album is the best album of this entire year for me, and one of my favourites of all time. I know they are going to deliver every night, and if we're not careful, they might even steal the show! Most importantly though, I'm sure we'll have fun with those guys. I did my solo tour with them in March this year and they are a bunch of top top blokes. I can't wait to get the chance to hang with them again and just chill and swap ideas. This is going to be an amazing tour, and I am so fucking stoked to have PURE on it. Seriously, this is the best.

Nadia: Blood of Wecz, Lily and Pure? Amazing! It's a shame to see such a well known and respected band call it a day, but this tour's gonna be a great celebration of all your years together. I shall try my best to come to as many shows as possible, cause you know, I'm hardcore like that. You can catch me in the middle of all the mosh pits. ;)

Kimberly: I'M COMING TO EVERY DATE.

Scott: I feel old. With Talley and that boy from PURE on the same tour, we basically have the 2 coolest guys in music. And I'm some rusty old bastard jammed in the corner. But hey, we're gonna have some fuckin' fun!

Mark: Isn't it just? I'm on it and I'm astounded by how good that lineup is ;) two acts that could headline themselves....and then some fuckin pensioners up at the top eh? ;) and yeah, it's sad that we're done, but this just opens more doors and gives us way more opportunities as individuals. It's a time to smile and not be sad ;) Remember to throw that one back in my face when I'm bawling on stage in Leeds next month. Looking forward to seeing you there, Nads. Of course :P

Oh and Kim, COME TO EVERY DATE! Haha!

Scott: Bring the whole clan. We can get Logan some little ear protectors. It'll be fun. Not for me, I'll be in tears from November to 2014, but it'll be fun for everyone else ;)

Scott: Sadly, yeah we had to call it. I'm going to go off and write my diaries or some shit to keep me busy in my retirement. My little suave partner in crime Talley will still be a rock star though. He's not ready to quit. Get yourself down to a show though for sure. You'll love it ;)

Sonyae: Cool! I hope you'll still do things behind-the-scenes. Like produce, become a businessman or something. Lol, Mark will still be a rockstar and you still will remain a rockstar too silly! :P I'm sure am gonna come. This is like a ONCE IN LIFETIME event for me since this is like your last few shows! D:

I'm probably going to write a book. No more business or production. Nothing to do with music. I've had my fill of that garbage now. Mark is going to be a much bigger rock star than I have ever been. That kid is going places. Awesome, well I guess we'll all see you there then! Cheers.
