Born Free is the highly anticipated and long awaited album by Urban and Pop recording artist Chloe that will be released on March 16th, 2014 under Chloe's current label, Tric Jam Records. The album itself is a follow up to Chloe's debut album "Different Elements Of Chloe" that was released in 2011. Born Free, at first was named a different title but has gone through a series of changes as the singer/songwriter went on a journey to find herself musically and really create her niche in music. Different Elements of Chloe showed just how versatile Chloe was not only a rapper and a singer but a hip hop/grime artist and fully fledged pop artist on the other hand. The release of her debut album can be looked at as a gift and a curse if you will. Although Chloe's music was met with chart success, when it came to the directions of her followup album in 2012, there was a lot of confusion on where she wanted to go. Chloe didn't want to create an album that didn't have direction, which really took away from the quality of her debut and what she wanted to do was release a string of records in preparation for her sophomore record.

Earlier records like Grand Theft Auto, and Losing My Religion were released in preparation for the record but was met with a lukewarm reception from her fans, months later Chloe released successful #1 singles in Liberation, followed by another #1 single "24 Hrs" which features Sammy Griffin. Unfortunately, there was still confusion as to where the album was going to go, and with all the stress Chloe took time off to be with her family and really begin writing and recording for this album that her fans have been eager to hear for so long. While she was gone, she released quietly released the pop infused "Never Gonna Dance Again" as an official promotional release from the album, which was then tentatively titled "Born Free". Never Gonna Dance Again was a success as well peaking at #3 showing that although Chloe was still finding herself musically her fan base was still very much there. After "Never Gonna Dance Again" was released, Chloe then took some more time off to get the album together. At that point, people really didn't believe the album would see the light of day.

Chloe proved her nay sayers wrong when she returned with "Born Free" the lead single from "Born Free" the album. The record came as a shock to fans and a breath of fresh air as Chloe finally returned to her urban roots, which was something majority of her fans wanted to see happen on this new album, and Chloe clearly seen that. Born Free became a major success peaking at #1 on both the Airplay and Digital Charts with the song holding onto the Airplay #1 for two weeks. Born Free quickly became Chloe's most successful single to date. This put alot of anticipation back on the album and Chloe promised the album would be released as soon as its finished. She also promised that the album would be predominately urban influenced and felt massively inspired. Following Born Free [single] Chloe went onto release Started Out In England and Never Meant To Last which all were successes, peaking within the top 3 on the charts. Never Meant To Last showed a perfect concoction of urban pop and clearly proved Chloe to still be as versatile as she was when she first debuted in 2010 and that she is aware of her fans. After Never Meant To Last, Chloe went into the studio with Isaac Lovelock, Parish and Atlas. Together, it formed "Gods Of Thunder" a grime and vicious rap record released in December of 2013 that showed all four musicians at their best lyrically and was confirmed to be apart of Chloe's new album. The single was also a major success peaking at #1 on both charts respectively.

Born Free been in the works for quite a long time and has gone through some differences and changes to its track listing and such, but not once did Chloe stop believing in the album and its release. The record was named Born Free because through all of the trial and tribulation Chloe realized that she was Born Free to do what she wants musically and as a person and felt that there was no better title then to name the album "Born Free". The album title was chosen in late 2012 and has never been changed with Chloe loving the title from the day it was thought up. Throughout the record, Chloe raps and sings about different subjects that not only come from her heart but songs that she knows that her fans will be able to relate to and come into one with. Not all the records are meant to be serious and show Chloe's battles with insecurity and self doubt, but also shows Chloe as a women who identifies with herself in confident, fun tunes and relationship infused records as well. Chloe didn't want to make a one sided album, and although mainly urban it also drifts into other genre's that can clearly be heard on the listening journey that you take on the album.

"Wow, its been a long time coming. I know I've been doubted for a while but now its that time! My fans been waiting so long for this and I'm glad to finally have completed it in full. It's been a hell of a long time coming and I've been able to talk about things that I have never ever been comfortable talking about in the past with this album. It shows my growth as a musician and as a personal and the battles I've dealt with when the camera's weren't in my face, and what goes on behind closed doors. At the end of the day I was born Free, and I am who I am no matter what. There was a time when I didn't believe in myself and a time when I thought about quitting this album, but I've regathered myself. Became hungrier then ever, more inspired then ever and now I am here today ready to deliver my album this month for everyone who has been waiting. Because I've been waiting to get this out to all of you for a hell of a long time and I want to apologize for the long wait, it's here now. To all my fans by my side, I love you with everything in me for waiting and believing in me and continuing to support me. This is for you. This has been a therapeutic and inspiring journey. Now? this lady is more inspired then ever "

Track: 1
Genre: Rap
Songwriters: Chloe Smith, Michael Parsons

I guess I'm loony, I guess I'm on one
Guess I'm just a star of my movie
They say I'm the chosen and so it goes
I'm supposed to live and grow old and die alone
Talking to myself in the mirror
Didn't really know one
Can we talk just loony to loony?

How strange the notion, you don't really know no one
And what if I told you, you no longer know me
You better keep goin', keep it rollin' now
Ain't no thing you don't really need me

The pressure is growing
Hard times they mold ya
Into someone way colder
Let the world see how you win
No matter how you seem to them

Fuck 'em, fuck 'em, fuck 'em, fuck 'em

And people think I'm mad or on one
Won't you tell them I'm mad solar
All the things that bother me
Ain't no other way I can be
And people think I'm loony or on one
(2x)

I guess I'm loony, I guess I'm on one
Guess I gotta finish my movie
See my heart has been swollen, it's healin' slow
Hope I don't live to grow old, no one at home
Starin' at myself in the mirror, they wanna know one
Wanna find about the real me

Soon moments reveal you
Especially friends who were never good friends
But wanna act like they know me
You better keep going, keep strollin'
It's so crazy how you think you can play me

Show them pussies you're growin'
Hard times they mold ya
Tell the haters "I told ya"
Let the world see how you win
No matter how you seem to them

Fuck 'em, fuck 'em, fuck 'em, fuck 'em

And people think I'm mad or on one
Won't you tell them I'm mad solar
All the things that bother me
Ain't no other way I can be
And people think I'm loony or on one
(2x)

Started Out In England is a promotional single by recording artist Chloe. This single will serve as promotional usage as her current single "Born Free" is currently in stores and is slated to chart on this coming weeks Digital and Airplay Charts. Started In England shows a more "rap" influenced Chloe and is the first official entirely rapping track Chloe has released since 2010's "Tales From The Crazy Mouth" featuring Matty that become an instant hit, reaching the #2 position on the Airplay Charts. For most of 2012, before slowly drifting off to gather her inspiration for her new album slated for a summer 2013 release, Chloe released a strain of successful pop records including "Never Gonna Dance Again" and "The One". It almost seemed like the "crazy" mouthed Brit had lost all her love for rap and urban music entirely until her last release. Always the one to be versatile and not stick to one genre her current single "Born Free" fed the appetite of not only her pop fans, but all of her urban fans questioning when she would return to her roots. Following Born Free, Started Out In England gets back to the old days where she frequently calls out:Started out in England now I'm here | "Started out in England now I'm really standing here|Started out in England now I'm here" over a pulsating hip hop beat that includes a relentless backing beat and futuristic synths.

Throughout the track, Chloe truthfully raps about different topics including her real life situations of overcome, let downs, among other topics. She brings out her fiery rapping skills over the very catchy beat as she proclaims her rap dominance with clever metaphors and self proclaiming lines. The single will be available official on Sunday! For now enjoy the full stream below! Tell us what you think!

Started out in England now I'm here
Started out in England now I'm really standing here
Started out in England now I'm here
Started out in England now I'm really standing here
Started out in England now I'm here
Started out in England now I'm really standing here
Started out in England now I'm here
I said I started out in England now I'm really standing here

Staring at the view from the top of my old pain
Crazy, how I'm trying come in first it's pretty insane
They tried to throw me off, but I never let 'em pass me
They kill me with the hating, but I ain't in the caskeet
I gotta stay on top, gotta really overcome it
I had to learn the hard way and beat it like it's a drum kit
Stay positive and fuck anyone that says opposite'
Cause everybody don't wanna see you win
But I promised my fans that I would stay on top of shit

Started out in England now I'm here
Started out in England now I'm really standing here
Started out in England now I'm here
Started out in England now I'm really standing here
Started out in England now I'm here
Started out in England now I'm really standing here
Started out in England now I'm here
I said I started out in England now I'm really standing here

Yeah I started out in England I'm so fuckin patriotic
With all this inspiration got me feeling psychotic
I didn't rap last year, urban really suffering
Jumping out the gate, 2013 I'm really runnin' shit
Shout to out to Isaac Lovelock he held it down
Now it's time for a female to hold down the crown
My life is insane, and I don't get enough credit
But this picture not realistic like all these Photoshop edits
Doing it all for the Chloe empire
I give 'em what they need and that's what keeps me inspired
And I do it with all my heart so they can feel it all
Whether it be pop, rap I wanna mend broken souls
Make 'em strong, make em' high, show 'em they got more to focus on before we die
As I take em' on this Chloe versatility ride ..yeah!

Started out in England now I'm here
Started out in England now I'm really standing here
Started out in England now I'm here
Started out in England now I'm really standing here
Started out in England now I'm here
Started out in England now I'm really standing here
Started out in England now I'm here
I said I started out in England now I'm really standing here

No longer feeling soft, got my hard side out
Came too far to be cute about this
And I'm not gonna do any complaining
But stop mistaking me for all my pop hits
I gotta gritty mouth, ain't afraid to use it
No longer feeling soft, got my hard side out
Came too far to be cute about this
And I'm not gonna do any complaining
But who ripped this shit like she's Hulk HOGAN?!

Started out in England now I'm here
Started out in England now I'm really standing here
Started out in England now I'm here
Started out in England now I'm really standing here
Started out in England now I'm here
Started out in England now I'm really standing here
Started out in England now I'm here
I said I started out in England now I'm really standing here

Need I say more? Funny how girls tried to come at me last year...
You're more irrelevant then myspace!
Shout out to England, shout out to the entire Chloe Empire!
Keep your head up!
Laters!

2013 has already started out as a great year for music. Many new faces have sprung up on the scene, possibly changing the way things go on within the industry. The once tight nit music industry has now opened arms to all types of genre's of music to bask in mainstream fans and possibly garner as many fans as the biggest pop star on the planet whether they are an experimental genius or an indie phenomenon. This has it's ups and downs as becoming a mainstream act has become extremely simple to tackle possibly destroying certain genre's that are loved within the underground community. Aside from those politics, 2013 has also seen some of the great ones go on excavate themselves from obscurity and splash onto the charts as if they never left, once again showing why they are exactly a great one. This has also seemed to happen within the first four months of the new year and many are happy to say that with all the genre's of music floating around the charts, and other music outlets like PicturePerfect opening doors for new faces, the current industry is looking upwards in terms of new faces, genre's and diversity.

Since we are speaking of genre's, one act who seemed to float through all types of genre's throughout her career was rapper and singer Chloe. Does it ring a bell? We'd hope so. Chloe emerged on the scene three years ago as the versatile damsel that seemed to swim through all types of genre's so easily that it'd almost become shocking to a listener. This was showcased in her debut album "Elements Of Chloe" released in January of 2013. Whether it was her showing off her less than expected Caribbean feel with her debut single and Dancehall inspired "Cupids Twin" that reached the top three position on the radio charts, the indie smash "He's Gonna Cry", another hit single of hers in "Tales From The Crazy Mouth" showing off her fiery rap skills or her massive pop single W.T.F (feat. Missy Vanity). These releases certified Chloe as a force to be reckon with, within music and continued her dominance when winning best new artist at the IMA's the same year. Seems like things would only go up for the London born star.

Following the success of her debut album, Chloe went back into the studio to work on her new album that was supposed to be named "The Saga Continues..." for some reason after a barrage of successful singles (24 hrs, Liberation, and Never Gonna Dance Again) with the first two topping the charts, the album was pushed back multiple times and even renamed, Chloe then seemed to step away from music without officially announcing it as questions started to arise from not only industry figures, other celebrities and more importantly Chloe's die hard fans questioning wondering about Chloe's whereabouts until she finally broke her silence at an appearance during the latest Chaos Awards late last year. "I really just felt disconnected with my music, with music in general. I guess I feel like it was an internal thing that I needed to deal with. I wasn't happy with the album to be very honest, maybe because I wasn't as inspired as I should have been, I just wanted to be free. Not deal with any stress, I wasn't happy, I felt so controlled, so forced ...and it actually came to a point where I wanted to quit...that's not anyone's fault, just things in my past and even present began to really bother me. But I had to realized that I cannot let myself..or my fans down. We have worked too hard to get where we are today, and once I really thought about my fans I couldn't let what I love go, and that's creating music for them. It was scary, I thought I was never going to be inspired again, I trashed most of the album to create new songs .. that I wasn't inspired to write and record.....but then it all just came to me. The hunger, the inspiration all came back...I am very excited for everything I have in store for my supporters. I haven't felt this excited in a while so I am ready to finally release some new music and have the album out. Cannot wait." Weeks pass and the suppose-to be-single "Never Meant To Last" was then switched to another single in "Born Free", the album's title as well. Her fans still waited for this official single release and finally we get it today. What will Chloe offer this time? Will it be pop, rock, r&B? It seems like Chloe has been watching closely to her fans wishes as she gets straight to her Urban roots in this comeback single. Something we haven't seen her do since 2011.

Born Free is Chloe's newest single taken off of her second album "Born Free" that is set to hit stores this summer, with the single being released this Sunday. The track starts off with quit keyboard notes that lightly move along a non existent beat for about 10 seconds, after these 10 seconds a eerie backing beat slowly arises backing up these notes, the backing beat is mid-to slowly tempo-ed. Along with the backing beat, Chloe is heard. Her voice sounds eerie and haunting just as the beat as she murmurs out: Cause I was born free, yeah living life for me |Yeah I'm born free, just tryna be me|I was born free, can't steal my dignity |I was born free, I'm born free. Automatically following her words, the beat picks up since a bit showing this heavily influenced Hip Hop backing along with the constant background keyboard notes. Chloe automatically gets to business with her razor sharp lyrics once again reminding us listeners of her unique flow as she aggressively begins to rap the beginning lyrics of the song where Chloe opens up about her childhood. Once upon a time in England|I was a little girl born with a sweet voice singing|Saying all I ever wanted was to sing a song|And have a crowd full of people that sing along|; The slow, but aggressive beat stays at it's same pace as Chloe continues: But now I feel like a slave, as I rattle in this cage |Trying to get these shackles off me; I'm going in a rage|Ain't nobody phased, when my problems are enormous Once you play the devils game, your either dead or performing; Chloe sings those lines with massive aggression, as it seems like she's forcing the words as she raps truthfully about feeling controlled using similes and comparing herself to a slave as she rattles in a cage and even states a controversial line in "Once you play the devil's game, you're either dead or performing" which may come across as being massively truthful or maybe even scary. Chloe continues on with her moving lyrics as she continues to open up with her fiery, but slowed down rap flow. Waiting on the world to change| Without working on mine
I'm changing my mind |And I'm deciding it's time, to stop being the blind| And lift the passion, my discretion| Whether I sing or I rhyme. The beat seems to be building up and bursts onto the chorus following her last line of the first verse, where synths join the lightly pounding beats of this hip hop ballad and piano notes where Chloe proclaims her right to self freedom with her catchy words, making it a easily "stuck in your brain" chorus. She aggressively murmers: Cause I was born free, yeah living life for me |Yeah I'm born free, just tryna be me |I was born free, can't steal my dignity |I was born free, I'm born free|Cause I was born free, yeah living life for me|Yeah I'm born free, no you can't forget me | I was born free, can't steal my dignity | I was born free, I'm born free;. Chloe's voices matches perfectly with the sound of the record as it does with each type of song she sings to but the connection, aggression and emotion she holds in this record is one to remember.

As the chorus fades out, the beat lightens up where once again you can hear the piano notes more predominately as Chloe continues to open up with more personal lyrics. It's like I've been in a coma| On life support to survive |Because I've been feeding and breathing |Not really being alive| Started seeking for meaning, and leading me to a time | To realize that no motherf*cker gonna control my life. Still, Chloe holds this aggressiveness to her voice forcing the words of the last line she spoke as the backing beat and piano backs her. Chloe continues to sing the next lines: And now I want to show that I've got more to offer this world| I can't blow that by doing what I've done in the past|I must own that, and get off the slow track |I've gripped with the fact that|I was afraid of myself, I had no love for myself |I tried to kill, I tried to hide, I tried to run from myself |There was a point in my life where I didn't like who I was |So they tried to create who they wanted me to become. These lines that Chloe verbalizes is probably the most personal of the record as she opens up about past personal issues, where she felt controlled, her personal dislike of herself and even her attempt at killing herself and luckily Chloe is speaking in past tense but still hits the weak spot for all her listeners as for the first time that the often smiling and perky Chloe was not always that way. Right away, the hook emerges as she easily flows through it and the ever catchy chorus then emerges with the beat becoming stronger just as before. Following the chorus, the bridge emerges with the beat relaxing and lightening up even more, lighter than the actual verse backing beat with with the blazing synths lightly ringing over the continuous piano notes as Chloe gives herself, and her listeners words of encouragement: Another state of mind, seeking more glory to bask in|Never let a person control the way you’re acting | Never let a person over take you’re life |Always remember that you’ll be the one to reach the heights | You’ll do all yourself; you don’t need help from no one
From no one.|; Following this, the final chorus breaks out, with the beat becoming apart of the song again and Chloe aggressively verbalizes the final chorus strongly until the song comes to an eerie finish. Where she says : I am on a mission. As this song comes to an end with the piano fading away.

Chloe stays away from an over produced record that so often distracts listeners from the actual artist and lyrics. Chloe makes it obvious that she wants her listeners take in her fiery deliverance of deep, personal, relate-able and empowering lyrics that still stays massively catchy with her official new single in "Born Free" that hits stores and radio tomorrow. Chloe is back! Do you agree? Let us know!

Born Free

Cause I was born free, yeah living life for me
Yeah I'm born free, just tryna be me
I was born free, can't steal my dignity
I was born free, I'm born free

Once upon a time in England
I was a little girl born with a sweet voice singing
Saying all I ever wanted was to sing a song
And have a crowd full of people that sing along

But now I feel like a slave, as I rattle in this cage
Trying to get these shackles off me; I'm going in a rage
Ain't nobody phased, when my problems are enormous
Once you play the devils game, you're either dead or performing

Waiting on the world to change
Without working on mine
I'm changing my mind
And I'm deciding it's time, to stop being the blind
And lift the passion, my discretion
Whether I sing or I rhyme

Cause I was born free, yeah living life for me
Yeah I'm born free, just tryna be me
I was born free, can't steal my dignity
I was born free, I'm born free
Cause I was born free, yeah living life for me
Yeah I'm born free, no you can't forget me
I was born free, can't steal my dignity
I was born free, I'm born free

It's like I've been in a coma
On life support to survive
Because I've been feeding and breathing
Not really being alive
Started seeking for meaning, and leading me to a time
To realize that no motherf*cker gonna control my life

And now I want to show that I've got more to offer this world
I can't blow that by doing what I've done in the past
I must own that, and get off the slow track
I've gripped with the fact that
I was afraid of myself, I had no love for myself
I tried to kill, I tried to hide, I tried to run from myself
There was a point in my life where I didn't like who I was
So they tried to create who they wanted me to become

I was waiting on the world to change
Without working on mine
I'm changing my mind
And I'm deciding it's time, to stop being the blind
And lift the passion, my discretion
Whether I sing or I rhyme

Cause I was born free, yeah living life for me
Yeah I'm Born Free, just tryna be me
I was born free, can't steal my dignity
I was born free, I'm born free
Cause I was born free, yeah living life for me
Yeah I'm Born Free, no you can't forget me
I was born free, can't steal my dignity
I was born free, I'm born free

Another state of mind, seeking more glory to bask in
Never let a person control the way you’re acting
Never let a person over take you’re life
Always remember that you’ll be the one to reach the heights
You’ll do all yourself; you don’t need help from no one
From no one.

I am on a mission

Track: B**tches Ain't Sh*t
Genre: Hip Hop, R&B
Songwriters: Chloe Smith

UserPostedImage

Chloe has been in full swing lately! After putting together and releasing a massive collaboration with fellow rappers in Gods Of Thunder that has topped our charts for two weeks, the self proclaimed 'Lyrical Kamikaze' Chloe is in full rappers mode like never before! Now she releases the gritty, grimy and infectious "Bitches Ain't Shit" Freestyle that samples Dr Dre's "Bitches Aint Shit". The track itself is literally a tirade for anyone in her way and might be a warning to a fellow rapper who has been trying to poke fun at Chloe through different raps and on social network. We never know what goes on in this industry, but this might be serious! Chloe gets on the dark hip hop beat and raps in her signature flow but in a much faster, angry manner. Let us know what you think after listening to this infecious freestyle!

Bitches aint shit but hoes and tricks
Friends always lookin for a throat to slit
Step over a dollar just to steal your dime
Stab you in the back before you stab mine
This is the motto of the crazy life I live
And im willing to bet you can guess how many fucks I give

I'm swearing more times then my mamas do
Off the endo like its something that I's gotta do
Retarded mother fucker since I was baby boo
Lyrics don't matter when all you doin is twerkin boo
Yes twerkin boo? Where's them skills? I'm merkin you!
With a beat this hard they be sayin
Im insane! Who said I'm sane?
Fucking Saddam Hussein when I drop bombs on this game

You wanna challenge me? With all that mouth you rock?
I'll lyrically kill you and yo ass will pop
Burn you like nitroglycerin you're a rookie, stop
I'm a veteran yeah, you should give me top
Girl I'm a whole lot better, if you want lets romp
Cause I'll lift off with my telekinsis, leave yo whole career in pieces
Come get lost in the mind of a cynical genius
Fuck religion I'm a metaphor extremist

Bitches aint shit but hoes and tricks
Friends always lookin for a throat to slit
Step over a dollar just to steal your dime
Stab you in the back before you stab mine
This is the motto of the crazy life I live
And im willing to bet you can guess how many fucks I give

Cause I'm semi pissed off and your music makes me squeamish
And I'm a capable of a lyrical vomit, like simile bulimic
I cant stop spittin and gettin these writtens right
And keep in poppin shit, get strickin by kryptonite
And to all bitch that wanna step up, pop tonight

Bitches aint shit but hoes and tricks
Friends always lookin for a throat to slit
Step over a dollar just to steal your dime
Stab you in the back before you stab mine
This is the motto of the crazy life I live
And im willing to bet you can guess how many fucks I give

Spoken:
Yes I'm Chloe, yes Chloe...
And I don't sit on cocks, not so hoey
God of thunder, lyrical kamakaze!
Didn't see my shit coming right?
THIS WHITE GIRL DROPPING BOMBS LIKE A TERRORIST!
. WAAAAAT.

Track: Nothin' But My Heels On
Genre: R&B
Songwriters: Chloe Smith, James Dean

Nothin but my heals on, daddy sit back.
We don't need a chair, ima use that lap.
Watch me get my dance on, nothin but my..
Nothin but my heals on, daddy sit back.
We don't need a chair, ima use that lap.
Watch me get my dance on, nothin but my..

Oh your lookin so fine, your bodies about to be all mine,(all mine, yeah)
Boy its been too long, glad your finally home,
Why's your pants still on?
Turn that radio off, this is our song
I'll be the melody, while you go and put that beat down.

I got dem red bottoms on,
Not a dress in sight, not even a thong.
Workin that body, to an imaginary song.
Lookin so good, got me bitin' my lip,
Posted on the bed slow watchin me dip,
Boy bring your body close,
Bout time the neighbors know,
Bout to go in, bout to go deep stroke
Got nothin but my heels on.
So come and lay it on.

Daddy sit back,
We don't need a chair, ima use that lap.
Nothin but my heals on.

Ohh your right on time, I'm about to blow your mind (your mind, yeah)
Boy you better hang on, we in the red zone.
From now until the dawn.
Turn that radio off, this is our song
I'll be the melody, while you go and put that beat down

Nothin but my heals on, daddy sit back.
We don't need a chair, ima use that lap.
Watch me get my dance on, nothin but my..
Nothin but my heals on, daddy sit back.
We don't need a chair, ima use that lap.
Watch me get my dance on, nothin but my..

Track: Buildin' Up
Genre: R&B
Songwriters: Chloe Smith, James Dean

Right now I've got so many thoughts in my brain
That I cant see
I don't know where I wanna go
Or where I wanna be
All I know is I don't feel like me
It don't feel like I'm here, feels like its a dream
I don't know if I wanna cry or if I wanna scream
Do I wanna share my burden or keep it to me?
Will I find a boy to help me and what does that mean?
No one know the real me, But who could it be
Cause if I tell you then your for keeps

The stress is all building up
And there's no one around
The weight is all building up
Pushing me into the ground
So drag me out of the shadows stop my sky being grey
Someone pull me out of the darkness and show me the way

I got so much on my mind right now
I don't know where to start
I got so much to think about now
It's affecting my heart
I wanna find a boy that nice and smart
He needs to be perfect, this ones gotta be the last
They could help me out, take my mind apart
Study me find out about my past
Be my psychiatrist they can play that part
Times gone so fast I don't know where to start

I'm to proud to except help I push it away
I could really use some verbal today
Talk out my problems, is a game that I don't normally play
Somewhere along the path I've gone stray
Now I cant find my way
It's been a long day, long week, long year
Still I don't shed one single tear
The weight just keeps getting heavier sometimes I fear
That its hard for me to even be sincere

The stress is all building up
And there's no one around
The weight is all building up
Pushing me into the ground
So drag me out of the shadows stop my sky being grey
Someone pull me out of the darkness and show me the way

I just gotta find you
I just wanna feel complete
I wanna fill this void
I wanna be the full me
But I'm blind I can't see if your far away or right in front of me

The stress is all building up
And there's no one around
The weight is all building up
Pushing me into the ground
So drag me out of the shadows stop my sky being grey
Someone pull me out of the darkness and show me the way

Track: Never Gonna Dance Again
Genre: Dance, Pop, R&B
Songwriters: Chloe Smith, Jade Hill, Aiden Moffat, Olive Reed

Info
'Never Gonna Dance Again' marks the third official release from Chloe's upcoming sophomore album; 'Born Free'. NGDA is an upbeat dance inspired song (despite the name of the title) which was produced by Gerogie James, an upcoming producer from Australia who has already worked with Weekend, Chanel and Raven to name a few. Chloe's previous releases have involved some sort of rap or dupstep breakdown but this one sees Chloe move into a more mature sound, ditching the in your face rants shown on previous singles. Never Gonna Dance Again is hypnotising as Chloe seductively sings over a smooth yet intense beat. In the pre-chorus and chorus, Chloe's vocals become like a powerhouse diva as she sings 'Because of you, I'm never gonna dance again, the music died when you said it's over'. With a hook catchier than the cold and a beat that puts the likes of David Guetta to shame, Chloe is back with a bang!!

Chloe's Comment
Never Gonna Dance Again.....I love this song. It was one of the last tracks that I wrote and recorded for the original version of the album and in fact despite it being put in at the last minute on 'The Saga Continues...' phase of the album, it actually helped to reshape the whole concept of the album and it was this song that made me rework a lot of the stuff I recorded earlier and now the final outcome is the 'Born Free' album. I wrote the song alongside close friends of mine, Jade Hill, Aiden Moffat and Olive Reed. We sat down and I said 'We need to come up with a sort of Chloe2.0 track. People might be getting fed up of the rapping so I want to continue my attitude packed style but do it in a different way. After lots of discussion and writing we finally came up with this track. I loved it from the moment we put pen to paper, it was everything I could've asked for. The shift in genre may sway people a bit but I just wanted to do something different for a change. So I hope you all enjoy my new single; 'Never Gonna Dance Again'.

Never Gonna Dance Again
(C.Smith, O.Reed, J.Hill, A.Moffat)

The rhythm left me when you said goodbye
The rhythm left me when you said goodbye
The rhythm left me when you said goodbye
The rhythm left me when you said goodbye

I stand here in the corner, oblivious to the crowd
DJ doing his thing but I can't dance right now
Cos' I'm too busy trying to pick up the pieces

I sit at the bar, our song plays out loud
The music can't move me, I'm feeling so down
Cos' I'm too busy thinking 'bout what you said

My fire was burning within, when you took my breath away
No it's all been extinguished, died down, since you took my pride away

Because of you, I'm never gonna dance again
The music died when you said 'it's over'
Because of you, I'll never rock a beat again
Without you I feel stone cold sober

Because of you, I'm never gonna dance again
The music died when you said 'it's over'
Because of you, I'll never rock a beat again
Without you I feel stone cold sober

(la, la, lala, la, la)
(la, la, lala, la, la)

Track after track, I feel like just giving up
Don't want to try, no I don't give a fuck
Cos' I'm trying to pick up the pieces

Shot after shot, the night is still young
I could act so wild and a lil' fun
But I'm too busy thinking 'bout what you said

My fire was burning within, when you took my breath away
No it's all been extinguished, died down, since you took my pride away

Because of you, I'm never gonna dance again
The music died when you said 'it's over'
Because of you, I'll never rock a beat again
Without you I feel stone cold sober

Because of you, I'm never gonna dance again
The music died when you said 'it's over'
Because of you, I'll never rock a beat again
Without you I feel stone cold sober

The DJ can't help me now
My heart's gone into overdrive
Been played with too many times
I can't seem to think straight,
I can't hear a sound

My fire was burning within, when you took my breath away
No it's all been extinguished, died down, since you took my pride away

Because of you, I'm never gonna dance again
The music died when you said 'it's over'
Because of you, I'll never rock a beat again
Without you I feel stone cold sober

Because of you, I'm never gonna dance again
The music died when you said 'it's over'
Because of you, I'll never rock a beat again
Without you I feel stone cold sober

The rhythm left me when you said goodbye
The rhythm left me when you said goodbye
The rhythm left me when you said goodbye
The rhythm left me when you said goodbye

Track: The One
Genre: Dance Hall, Pop, Reggae-Fusion
Songwriters: Chloe Smith, D.Blue, E.Orla

Remember when I said that you were the one
Turns out you don't love me, you were having fun
And all those things that I said and done;
for you, Oh for you, were true baby!

It's just another way of saying you wanna be apart (apart)
It's just another way of you trying to break my heart (my heart)
I, oh I, was a fool
To trust someone like you, must've been so blinded
And I, oh I must play it cool
Can't show you I'm hurt, I can't let you win (no!)

Remember when I said that you were the one
Turns out you don't love me, you were having fun
And all those things that I said and done;
for you, Oh for you, were true baby!

Oh woah oh oh here I go
Oh woah oh oh here I go (thought you were the one)
Oh woah oh oh 'bout to blow
Oh woah oh oh 'bout to blow (thought you were the one)
Thought you were the one!

You say we're not working but I know you just wanna play around (around)
You say I'm not loving, please!, you just wanna fuck about (about)
I, oh I, can't believe you
I gave you everything, don't even blame me
And I, oh I must keep my cool
Before I blow up and start crushing some bones (oh!)

Remember when I said that you were the one
Turns out you don't love me, you were having fun
And all those things that I said and done;
for you, Oh for you, were true baby!

Oh woah oh oh here I go
Oh woah oh oh here I go (thought you were the one)
Oh woah oh oh 'bout to blow
Oh woah oh oh 'bout to blow (thought you were the one)
Thought you were the one!

Remember when I said that you were the one
Turns out you don't love me, you were having fun
And all those things that I said and done;
for you, Oh for you, were true baby!

Oh woah oh oh here I go
Oh woah oh oh here I go
Thought you were the one!

Track: Never Meant To Last
Genre: R&B, Pop,
Songwriters: Chloe Smith, Julian Morello, Isaac Lovelock

UserPostedImage

It has been a big month for Chloe Smith, the versatile singer/rapper who made her return very evident some weeks ago when releasing her critically acclaimed comeback single "Born Free". The single, which features a more dark Chloe speaking on living life freely and out of the control of others shot to the top of Airplay Charts to everyone's surprise for two weeks, and counting. After the singles release, Chloe made her return official, stating that she felt "more inspired then ever" and expressed an extreme excitement on releasing her oft-delayed and highly anticipated sophomore effort also entitled "Born Free" which is slated for a summer release. Within the same week, Chloe also released the unapologetic "Started Out England" that was also met with high critical praise and even sent Chloe's fans into an all out frenzy of excitement since it was the first all rapping track Chloe released since 2010's hit single "Tales From The Crazy Mouth". With all the recent success, Chloe doesn't look to stop there as she continues to build anticipation for the new material she has in stores for all of her fans and supporters for the new album. Today, Chloe gives her fans some more new material.

Today, we get even more Chloe material. The track, "Never Meant To Last" which might be quite familiar to most Chloe fans. The artwork of the Isaac Lovelock assisted track was unveiled on the starlets website and was slated to be released as the first single following the ending of Chloe's hiatus. For unknown reasons, the song was held back and "Born Free" was chosen to be released instead. This song has been rumored to be written with producer Julian Morello following Chloe's relationship split with Weekend's Scott Wellington. These rumors were neither confirmed or denied. The track, also produced by Julian Morello takes another swift turn for Chloe once again showing her versatility and ability to rap or sing over any type of track or genre, as she sings entirely throughout the track showing her powerful vocals. If you forgot that Chloe has pipes, then today is the day where you, as a listener is in for a rude awakening.

Never Meant To Last which features a rap verse from rap artist Isaac Lovelock is the newest release from Chloe, which will be one of the tracks featured on "Born Free" slated for a summer 2013 release. The song is about a love that has suddenly turned wrong and the female protagonist must make the transition from being heart broken and missing that person to realizing and accepting the fact that their love was never actually meant to last which can be in a nutshell, infectious, tear jerking and even uplifting as Chloe puts out all of her emotion onto this powerful song. The track starts off with with a drawn out instrumental that coos throughout the opening seconds of the song, seconds pass and an slow R&B influenced stomping beat comes over the instrumental with piano notes that fit perfectly with the initial vibe of the track. Seconds pass of this concoction and Chloe's vocals are heard. They are deep, emotionally filled and very proclaiming. Over the relaxed, and piano driven beat she smoothly sings about being hurt about a love that has come to an end. She sings about the memories, her ex lovers scent on their bed as she reminiscences about him. Chloe continues to sing onto the next part of the the first verse, as she stops singing and begins recalling words of an old love one and the words they said to her. The beat, cuts away a bit, as the stomping beats come to a halt with beginning coo is still and piano notes. Chloe's voice is in a sad, and depressed manner as she speaks ending off with the line |It sometimes ends before it can begin| Right after, the stomping beats resume where they left off as Chloe begins to sing again as she begins to come one with herself with the lyrics she is singing out. The backing beat behind Chloe as she sings seems to be growing bigger adding in eletric synths and over the stomping and clapping instrumentation. Chloe's vocals get stronger, as she puts emphasis on each ending of the line that she sings.

As she finishes singing the line |As those walls will start crashing down on you| the song breaks in a infectious, uplifting and powerful chorus adding in baroque instruments over the electrifying synths, heavy piano notes the stomping beats and drums . Chloe belts out over the massive backing beat: Well it’s over now|It was never ever meant to last|It’s best to just move on and put it in the past| Because it’s over now|These things are just not meant to be. Chloe posses a great deal of emotion for the chorus and a sadness in her voice as she pulls out her best vocals for that part of the song. After she sings that, the same coo instrumentation that was heard earlier in the song follows the big chorus, where Chloe speaks again. After doing so, the backing beat picks up again, and so does Chloe's singing as she recalls the past about trying to end the relationship on a positive note. Chloe sings the verse perfectly and when she finishes, the piano takes over once more with notes for a few seconds after she sings and Isaac is heard. As he raps violins are added behind his vocals as he raps about what they could have been. The violin goes perfectly with the initial track and Lovelocks vocals along with the stomping and clapping beats that were easily heard throughout the track. As Isaac raps his part, you can hear the beat building to it's chorus and when he finishes, Chloe belts out a massive high note, as the track breaks into the chorus where she sings out, finally realizing that their love was never meant to last, nor were they ever made for eachother over the accompanying backing beat. As the chorus rides out, only the stomping and clapping beats are heard as Chloe speaks one last time murmering : It’s better that I know
They say it’s better to be free|But it doesn’t help at all| When the world is crashing all around me; As the song come to an end.

Chloe gives her fans and listeners alike a song that can easily be related to, showing off her strong vocal skills as she suits us up for the release of what may be one of the hottest album releases of the summer. Tell us what you think of Chloe's newest release!

Never Meant To Last (Feat. Isaac Lovelock)

[non-bold] - Spoken words

I open the curtains
And all I see is a sky of grey
I sit on the couch thinking about how you went away
There’s a theory that all love must someday come to an end
But if you aren’t around here anymore
I’ve got nothing left to defend
The memories are hanging by the smallest thread
Your smell still lingers in our lovers bed
But it’s over now and I know that
And this is what you said

There comes a time
When you have to part ways
With something that doesn’t give no more
When all it does is take
Love gives out it’s punishment
For fools who do rush in
But love doesn’t wait for anyone
It sometimes ends before it can begin

There was a time in my life
When all I had ever known was standing tall
But as you take away the foundations
From a life that was meant for two
Your world can quickly start to crumble
As those walls will start crashing down on you

Well it’s over now
It was never ever meant to last
It’s best to just move on and put it in the past
Because it’s over now
These things are just not meant to be

It’s better that you know
It’s better to be true
But it doesn’t help at all
When the world is crashing down on you

You say, we should part our ways
Like many people have always done before
We should say goodbye
To love that is to be no more
We should wave goodbye
To a place that felt so right
We should hold our heads high
But darlin’ I’m getting no sleep tonight

I could be your Charlie Tramp
You could be my Virginia Cherrill
And we could both have a City Lights type o’ deal
You open your curtains and see skies of gray
I open mine and see a brighter day
It doesn’t matter what I say
My actions choose whether or not I stay
Fuck it, I don’t need your pity
I’ll drink and reminisce on our fond times in charm city

OOOH-OOH-OOOHHHH
But it’s over now
It was never ever meant to last
It’s best to just let go and put it all in the past
Because it’s over now
These things are just not meant to be
I ain’t meant for you
And you ain’t meant for me

It’s better that I know
They say it’s better to be free
But it doesn’t help at all
When the world is crashing all around me

Sounds like

Alex Simms: You're like a firecracker, you're small and so you seem sort of 'cute' and then 'BOOM' it's like "take that motherf*cker" and it's awesome and kinda hot! But yeah, I'm not gonna pretend that I know much of your genre but this is pretty kick ass, I do know a great lyricist when I see one and you're definitely a great lyricist. Seriously brilliant record so far, the varying themes are a massive plus too, see kids, it's not all 'b*tches and h*es'! ;)

Track: Hurricane
Genre: Hip Hop, R&B
Songwriters: Chloe Smith, Anastasia H.

It's the calm before the storm
I feel it all around me
The silence is creeping in
Awakening the thoughts that lie within
The ones I left behind

I don't want to fight it anymore
I don't have it in me
Cause it's all been said and done before
So what's left to believe
But nothing can stop it, cause here it comes
Here comes the storm
It comes crashing, crashing down on me

Like a hurricane

Like a hurricane

Like a hurricane

Like a hurricane

It's the calm before the storm
I feel it all around me
The silence is creeping in
Awakening the thoughts that lie within
The ones I left behind

I couldn't listen, my mind would wander
So I sat and I wondered why
So many questions, so little answers
Driving myself mad
I needed to break free

I don't want to fight it anymore
I don't have it in me
Cause it's all been said and done before
So what's left to believe
But nothing can stop it, cause here it comes
Here comes the storm
It comes crashing, crashing down on me

Like a hurricane

Like a hurricane

Like a hurricane

Like a hurricane

Track: Over My Shoulder
Genre: R&B
Songwriters: Chloe Smith

Try to shrug this feeling off, its like someones watching
Back there in the darkness, I know eyes are on me
Not sure whats goin on but my skin is crawling
And I know I hear footsteps but they stop when I stop walking

There's something in the shadows
This thing i tried to hide
It will always follow
It wants to see the light
(2x)

Worked so hard to hide this, wrapped dead demons in white sheets
Stuffed skeletons in closets, I thought I had it beat!
Again I face judgments and new friends turn their backs
Even though I made a change there ain't no second chance

Try to turn around and see, only empty streets
I'm not just paranoid, it cant be just the breeze
My past is back there lurking, it caught back up with me
I had it left behind, I had it buried deep!

There's something in the shadows.
This thing i tried to hide.
It will always follow.
It wants to see the light.
(2x)

This things just a shadow
Covering my back, it always trails behind me
IM HAUNTED BY MY PAST

There's something in the shadows.
This thing i tried to hide.
It will always follow.
It wants to see the light.
(3x)

Track: Gods Of Thunder
Genre: Dark Hip Hop, Grime
Songwriters: Chloe Smith, Alas, Parish, I.Lovelock

Atlas: It was really a great opportunity to work on this song. Since I'm new to the rap scene it was great to get may name out there again and to work with other artists within the scene. Everyone on this track gave it their all to make it a great song. For me I wanted to focus on the fact that I am an up and coming artist in my verse. I wanted to talk about how I was going to be sticking around and how i hope to be one of the hottest around. But I also had to say that I'm not just going to be another arrogant rapper who raps about partying and sex. I want to be much more than that. I want to rap about what's important. I want to tap about social problems we have in this world. So I wanted to write a verse that establishes me as an artist. I think I did that and provided a killer verse for a killer song at the same time.

Parish: Working with these guys was one of the sickest feelings yo. The vibes in the room was awesome! Spitting with Isaac, Chloe and Atlas is just beyond awesome. We was all firing bars at each other and really feeding off the vibe! Will be interesting to see how many people agree that my verse is the best! Ahaha!

Chloe: This was something! This track is really a beast. I mean, as the only female I knew I had to step up my game lyrically not only for my part on the track but my delivery as a whole. Isaac, Atlas and Parish are all gifted lyricists and it's great to be apart of this moment. I'm glad we came together for this because I believe this can really help urban music and I've gotten an honor to be apart of it. I hope you all love it as much as we do!

CHORUS

Falling down we might trip and stumble
To try and stay humble
But we're ready to rumble
While you sit and mumble
We might crash through your castle
And watch it crumble
We're the gods of thunder
Yeah the gods of thunder
Do you sit and wonder
Of the wonders of life
Why we feel pain and strife
Like a knife through the heart
Man it can tear us apart
So we sit and depart
We're the gods of thunder
Yeah the gods of thunder
We're the gods of thunder
Do you sit and wonder?
We're the gods of thunder
Yeah the gods of thunder

Mmm Oh my god
World can you hear us?
Listen up you might want to fear us
Sensitive hos and bossin' rappers
Who can't seem to understand these chapters
new world order new game new rules
Refresh the page re-read the text re-apply to schools
Because this is a message from mount olympus
The new one the cool one white house with bitches
How come everyone who tries to get keeps fallin'
How come every baller on Wall Street keeps ballin'
Why do all my n*ggers from my home keep callin'
calling for me to bring em back something for free
Like oh Damon you a rap star guess that makes you a f*ckin' frappe czar
Ah but I'm a fresh god on the block
Raps so beautiful they all want my....
Money its all about the cash
Furniture expenditures caricatures. You want it its yours?
I refuse to be that rapper
Forget about the people forget about the pasture
I'm a shepard helping the people away from sins
This is about our thunder
This is the gospel so it begins

Raw fucking delivery for my B-more family/
Lower my vocab so the kids’ll understand me
Clue in the hipsters so my music’ll stand/
So there’s no difference between you and a Lovelock stan
Multi-talented, call me Hugh Laurie/
Famous and on TV, call me Tamera Mowry
My body cashes checks that my mouth writes/
This new rap shit taking the game to new heights
I do all of this for my mom’s and my city/
So please Lord forgive me
Please Lord forgive me/
Cuz I’m ‘bout to explode and y’all’ll never forget me

CHORUS

Falling down we might trip and stumble
To try and stay humble
But we're ready to rumble
While you sit and mumble
We might crash through your castle
And watch it crumble
We're the gods of thunder
Yeah the gods of thunder
Do you sit and wonder
Of the wonders of life
Why we feel pain and strife
Like a knife through the heart
Man it can tear us apart
So we sit and depart
We're the gods of thunder
Yeah the gods of thunder
We're the gods of thunder
Do you sit and wonder?
We're the gods of thunder
Yeah the gods of thunder

Fuck it, I can’t say that honestly
I’m usually the one to not care but it’s starting to get hard for me
I just want things to be the way that they oughta be
Bottled up emotions always tend to break out and slaughter me
Events in the past eventually become a part of me
A weak don’t give a fuck attitude is the art of me
I feel the bad memories all the way to my arteries
If I were you I’d keep a distance and not even start with me
More shit piles up and i’ll react horribly
A show called the shitstorm and you’ve been invited cordially
All the awkward kids born after I recite it orally
Shy about it? Nah, that’s what the kid was like formerly
I show emotion but its important to show authority
I demonstrate devotion its important to know priorities
I know that I’ll be talked about bad by the majority
That don’t phase me those bitches can form a sorority
Angers buildin' up, I’d love a return to normalcy
Cuz things that im thinking of are kinda getting disorderly
Kinda crazy how I started out in England and now they all know of me
And if a bitch don’t watch the throne she’ll get wounded mortally
Standing my ground is starting to mean a lot more to me
Specially when I am a lyrical kamikaze, a god of thunder
You don’t want no more of me

*BRIDGE*
Instrumentation

I've been knocked to the ground, but i get back up again,
Keep on climbing and climbing, continue the ascent,
Fighting for my right, to stand on my two feet,
But it's not always easy, when you're a nigga like me!
The bar gets placed higher, so I got to run faster,
Soon i will be flying, so fuck all them bastards.
Keep on writing rhymes, soon i'll be away with the times,
Escalating up, straight into the lime light!
When man says he's struggling, that's where he really thrives,
Because it gives me something to work towards, don't need no boring life!
Worked my way from the underground, and now i'm at the surface,
Just need the god's to see i'm like l'oreal, that's right i'm fucking worth it.
I'll be taking to the clouds, were i can look down on all of you,
Sit on my throne up in the sky, where i know my positions is true,
Who needs to be stuck in the gutters, when you've got skills like i do,
Fuck the world and fuck those fuckers, i make music because i want to.

Falling down we might trip and stumble
To try and stay humble
But we're ready to rumble
While you sit and mumble
We might crash through your castle
And watch it crumble
We're the gods of thunder
Yeah the gods of thunder
Do you sit and wonder
Of the wonders of life
Why we feel pain and strife
Like a knife through the heart
Man it can tear us apart
So we sit and depart
We're the gods of thunder
Yeah the gods of thunder
We're the gods of thunder
Do you sit and wonder?
We're the gods of thunder
Yeah the gods of thunder

Track: Rebel On My Own (Hands In The Air)
Genre: Hip Hop, Alternative Dance, Alternative Rap
Songwriters: Chloe Smith

About to own this track like I own this county
About to kill these bars like they got a bounty,
Flow so balanced it aint causin static
Lyrics so polite but yet so sarcastic,

Welcome to my world where I welcome you all
Say hello to my mind to who y'all will fall,
Rappin so conscious no spiritual body
No 3rd eye shit no illuminati

Uh!

It's due to make moves, rebel on my own
I move to make moves
Life is but a game, so what's your next move?
Get run over my dude, or just move [Uh!]
It's due to make moves, rebel on my own
I move to make moves
Life is but a game, so what's your next move?
I'm standing here with my hands in the air
And you just lose

I'm so dumb man so blind to reality
Give me some wisdom a worthy mentality,
What do i say what do i do is this the proper attire?
Haaaa this rap is lookin like a damn satire,

Aw man this all so direct it'll start a fire make me so eminent
yet so indirect that all y'all indifferent,
So much contradiction this is my depiction
To all y'all so called lyricists?
I been said bitches ain't shit this is my work this is my commission

Writen all night losing my sleep so I'm rapping and snorin
Jockey for success alotta chicks borin
Ahhhh flow out a control I'm flooding this bitch
Lyrics so sharp shake... spearin this bitch

And I really hope I leave you scratchin your head
Cause when i wanna say somethin I leave it well said,
Kids tryna act delirious tryna be mysterious
Gottem asking how I'm so sarcastic but still so serious,

These bars got me all self conscious
Got me lovin the process of going obnoxious,
I'm not trying to kill you I hope a couple of you bitches last,
Cause I'd love to keep ya'll in this shadow I cast.

So put ya hands in the air
Hands in the air, put ya hands in the air
Hands in the air, put ya hands in the air
Hands in the air, so put ya hands in the air
Hands in the air [Uh!]

Track: Haters
Genre: Hip Hop
Songwriters: Chloe Smith

We gon' take it to the moon, take it to the stars
How many people you know can make it this far?
I'm taking charge, all these haters in my heart
We gon' take it to the moon, take it to the stars
How many people you know can make it this far?
Too many scars, and it's not from my haters

I'm different, yeah I get it
Not like you, not like him, not like her, not like them
I'm a freak, I'm a demon, I'm the spawn of every evil being
Don't have feelings, don't have faith, don't have respect, don't have face

Wrong bitches

I have respect for those who give it back
Faith in something higher and greater than any of you haters out there
I feel love, I feel thank, I feel wrong, I feel great
I feel sad, I feel struggle, but what I don't feel is hate
Don't fuck with me if you know what's comin' for you
Don't fuck with somethin' you can't handle
Haters push me forward, haters push me down
Then I remember this rap and push right back to where I am now
"She can't rap. She can't sing"
Don't care what you say, I hold my ground, hold my place, don't come up if you can't face

We gon' take it to the moon, take it to the stars
How many people you know can make it this far?
I'm taking charge, all these haters in my heart
We gon' take it to the moon, take it to the stars
How many people you know can make it this far?
Too many scars, and it's not from my haters

What I say, what I do, what does this have to do with you?
It doesn't, One last stand is all it takes, the world can finally rest in peace.
But I'm not done yet. What do you mean?
I mean I'm standing up, pushing back, what should've done I'm doing now.

Years ago, worlds away, something happened to this place
What I mean is where'd it go? That happy place, that happy glow?
Gone, out the window with my self-esteem and everything dear to me
My family, my friends, they're still here but they're not the same
The only thing remaining is my haters, they haven't changed
I'm still worthless, still crazy, still stupid, still just me
But I'm every bit as strong as I was and always will be

We gon' take it to the moon, take it to the stars
How many people you know can make it this far?
I'm taking charge, all these haters in my heart
We gon' take it to the moon, take it to the stars
How many people you know can make it this far?
Too many scars, and it's not from my haters

OOC: I think this showed a great deal of versatility from Chloe, not being just a typical rapper but throwing in some unique elements to the twist. It's a good album rp :)

Honor: I'm actually sort of impressed with this album. The balance of pop and hip hop is what worried me but there seems to be an evenness there. Since you've always been more Pop than Hip Hop to me, I've always struggled to accept your urban tracks but they weren't too bad. I'd buy this.

Scott: Do my eyes deceive me? Does Chloe actually have a full length album streaming on the world wide web? :P I'm so glad you've finally got this record out, I know you've been working hard on it for a long, long time. Definitely going to purchase this when it's released. Great job :)

OOC: FINALLY! :P It's been so long, I never thought this day would come. 2014 seems to be the year when acts finally get off their ass and release their albums - Chloe, Andrea, Mandy etc :P I really enjoyed this album, it seems like one I would purchase in real life! 'Haters' and 'Rebel On My Own (Hands In The Air)' are my favourites :)

Ooc: I've always liked Chloe since she first arrived in this game. She's always been a step away from all the other rappers and stuff that we have and you've done her justice here yet again. Great album and really nice lyrics :)
