Eva nods. "I get too pale in the winter. I mean, I'm pale already, but I'm even paler in the winter. You'll see when it's the summer. I usually don't look like a corpse, I promise." She smiles up at him.

Eva smiles up at him and gives him a quick kiss on the cheek as they turns the corner, the wind not blowing directly into their face anymore. "You're too sweet," she says, squeezing his hand again. "How far are we from this place?"

"Woohoo!" Eva lets out a little cheer when they stop in front of the building. She finds her spot at the end of the line and smiles. She pulls out her phone and checks it for a second before sliding it back into her back pocket. "What've you been up to lately?"

To pass the time after getting done filming, Veronica headed out, alone this time, in order to clear her head and sort of take a breather from some intense weeks of work. Ever since she had been working on the new tv show she was in, she felt like she hadn't had a moment's rest but now she could kick her feet up and enjoy her Thursday night. She headed to a bar, randomly picking it, and decided to drink her worries away. Things had changed for the young designer, noticeably her appearance now. She had cut her hair shoulder length and it was now brown. She just felt like a change. As she sat at the bar, she ordered a rum and coke, setting her purse beside her.

She wasn't paying attention but she was pretty sure she heard someone talking to her. Veronica looked up, shocked to see Rory beside her. She hadn't seen him in a long time and therefore hadn't resolved anything with him. "No, I can pay for myself." She stared back at him, unsure what he was doing or what he wanted. As far as she was concerned, they were done and weren't even close to being friends anymore. "What do you want?" Her tone was hostile but she was pissed at him.

"We don't need to chat. Actions speak louder than words. We don't need to have a heart to heart or anything. You don't even have to explain yourself, I don't care anymore. I'm over us and I'm over you." She turned her head back so she was staring in front of her now.

"What do you want from me Rory? Am I supposed to be thrilled to see you? You practically disappeared yourself and nothing made sense, I didn't even get a heads up or anything. You just left and I thought I could trust you but I can't. You're just like every asshole out there. For a second, a split second, I thought you would prove me wrong about guys. What a fool I was." She shook her head, feeling herself getting worked up. "I can't do this." She finished her drink and then grabbed her bag, about to leave. "I'm not going to do this."

Veronica stopped and sighed. She looked back at him. "Fine." She didn't want to forgive him, at all. She wanted him to go away and maybe it would be easier but then she'd miss him again. It just sucked to have fallen for someone and then it just went away. She sat down at one of the tables. Being stubborn like she was, she definitely wasn't going to just start talking her heart out to him. In her eyes, he hadn't earned that. "Say what you have to say then."

As she listened to him, she couldn't help but to herself say that she missed him too. But still, she was angry. "No one forced you to stay away. You did that on your own. Once you stopped talking to me, I figured you made up your mind about what was more important to you and it wasn't me. I really needed you but you weren't there. You can't just waltz back into my life and think I'm going to be delighted to see you. That's not how this works."

"I can't just let you back in." She shook her head. It was very hard for Veronica to trust guys, especially after she felt they had hurt her already. "Look, you're gonna go back out there and perform and be a rock star and you'll have girls throw themselves at you. I just won't be one of them. I risked so much on you, Rory. I risked my reputation and my heart and it came back to bite me in the ass. Maybe you are truly sorry but I'm not ready to forgive you."
