"Just let me prove to you that I can make all this pain go away. I did it before, I can do it again. And you can stop with this people change, feelings change crap, I'm here to put things right and that's what I'm going to do. I never treated you like shit, Veronica, I'm certainly not here to fuck you. I want to make you happy, I want to be happy. Please don't shut me out, you know it can work but you always try and give me reasons not to trust me." He grabs her hand. "Who was the only one here for you besides Ansley when you had problems with your parents? Who was there for you when your work was getting too much for you? Who was here for you when you ha... When you had that abortion?... That would have been enough for most people to run away..."

"Yeah, we're not far now Veronica. Let's get you home into the warm." he noticed that she wasn't looking so angry and upset at him anymore, which gave Rory a bit more of a hopeful feeling about his chances of her forgiving her. "Well, we won't be long. I'm making you some food aswell though, if I have two days then I'm doing all I can possibly do in those two days."

"Please just let me bide enough time with you tonight, I really missed you. I don't want to say goodbye too soon..." He chuckles and smiles as he looks down at their hands. "Here we are then." He arrives at Veronica's front door with her, he didn't know whether Veronica would let him in or not so he just stood there with her, waiting for her to let herself into her house.

"I'll take all I can get, Veronica." he smiles and follows her inside. It had been a long time since he'd been in her house, he had many memories there and he missed it. He sat down on a sofa in the living room, looking up at Veronica.

"Just a glass of water please, had enough to drink tonight. For once getting drunk is the last thing I want." he chuckles before following her into the kitchen, sitting on the counter. "I missed this place a lot... It's so nice to be back here..." he smiles a little at Veronica. He stroked the dog as it walked by. "Good dog." he chuckless.

Rory jumps down off the counter and chuckles. "Sorry, instinct I guess. Always used to sit there when I was here before." he looked down at the dog, she was right, he'd forgotten the dog's name and he surprisingly felt bad for it. He took the glass of water when she handed it to him. "I never stopped caring about you Veronica..."

"You couldn't forget me now, could you Jack?" he kneels down and gives Jack a fuss. He nods when Veronica spoke to him, and sighs. "I wish I never had left, it wasn't because of you... I panicked and I messed up... There's been problems at home which meant I had to stay there for a while. I regret it so much Veronica, I really do..." he holds her hands. "Every day I just wanted to be here with you, there's nothing I wanted more than to see your beautiful face every day again but I was scared"

Rory didn't want to talk about his absence anymore, so he let Veronica change the topic, which she did. He knew she wasn't close to her parents but it shocked him to see her sound reasonably pleased about her parents getting a divorce. "I guess it was only a matter of time. From all you ever told me it seemed to be a bit of a disaster between the two of them. Are you really alright with this though? I know you're not close and all, but they're still your parents..."

"I guess so, it's still never been ideal though." he looked at her. "It'd destroy me if my parents split, you still take it really well despite the circumstances." He was always supportive over Veronica, she had always had a bad upbringing and never had happy families yet became what she is today. Being from London, he'd seen many children lead into the world of drugs and crime because of family issues but Veronica had always took it on her stride and became successful. "You know, I've always admired how you cope with these family issues, most people would crack in your situation..."

"Well, don't crack behind my back then. My job's always been to pick up the pieces incase that ever happens." he smiled at her. He was always willing to cheer Veronica up, it always worked too which was a bonus to the both of them. As Veronica mentioned that he had thirty more minutes, he grinned at her. "Oh really now? That's a shame..."
