Riley sits back in his seat and tries to listen in on the conversation. From what he can hear, it sounds as if Scott is bribing the police officer. Although he isn't exactly a fan of bribery, if it's going to get them away and back on the road again then he's all for it. He decides it is best to just remain silent and let Scott get to work. He laughs to himself when he sees Scott place the money in her bra, shocked at how bold he was.

While things got back to normal for Veronica, there was still the question if whether her and Rory would guve things another shot. She struggled with the idea of going back to him but she did miss him. She sighed. Usually she wouldn't let relationships control her but this was inevitable. While she changed she heard her phone going off, a text message coming in. Answering it she replied;

'Be over in a little.'

Veronica stared at her phone after he replied. "Crap, I suck at this." She bit her lip and rolled her eyes, looking down at Jack. "Don't give me that look. He's very persuasive." She found some old cuttoff blue jean shorts and an old t shirt to wear. It was hot in LA now, practically summer itself. As she walked out to leave she grabbed her purse and phone. "Watch the place for me." She said to Jack then headed off to the hotel where Rory was.

A few minutes later, she sat outside in her car hust staring at the building. What would happen if she went inside? Would she be ae to cobtinue to play hard to get? It was annoying shehad to just overthink everything. She got out and walked inside, heading to his room. Finally, she got there and knocked.

"I replied almost 20 minutes ago. You're such a bad liar." She smirked at him then walked inside. She wasn't even sure what they'd even talk about or do but she had an idea. No matter what, she would not get seduced and sleep with him. That was easier said than done but she knew once that happened, he practically would win her over. "So..."

Veronica walked over to his clothes and nonchalantly grabbed some clothes. "I'm sure you didn't just call me over to pick out your wardrobe. I'm sure your mother could assist you with that." She looked at gim, trying to advert her eyes from roaming or going lower. It was hard to focus when he was like this. She gave him props, he was persistant.

"Yeah. I remember." She smiles a little and then shakes her head, staring at him naked. "You're just incredible you know that? And stalling for what?" She hands him his clothes and sits on the edge of the bed. "Just because you're naked doesn't mean you'll get me naked."

"Yeah well...I don't care to see you naked." She turns her back towards him as he got dressed, folding her arms. "So how long are you here for this time?"

She looked up at him and sighed. "Din't act like you know me so well." Veronica ran her hand through her head. "It's just a question, don't be so difficult." She tried her best to not let him get to her but with her ex standing so close to her naked, it was complicated.

"And I just happen to fit into your schedule." She looks at him again. "I know it's none of my business but....the person you slept with, was it some random girl or someone more?" Veronica didn't know why she was asking but she did. She was selfish that way. It was just a pride thing she had. Hopefully, it was just some ugly girl or maybe she was just a friend of his.

"You don't remember but you don't want to tell me? That's reassuring. Stop trying to turn it back on me, I just wanted to know." Veronica sighed. "You know who it was, you just don't want me to know. Fine, I won't ask again."
